16 FAMOUS LOGOS WITH A HIDDEN MEANING (That We Never Even Noticed)

06:28
How to design a successful logo? How to build a famous brand for your business? Some of the most well-known logos in the world were purposefully designed to indicate something much more than simple beauty. In fact, it seems that in some cases, every line, curve, and color has meaning behind it. Adidas, Apple, BMW, Coca-Cola, Toyota… We see these famous brands everywhere but never consider what their logos exactly mean. Curious to know the secret? Watch the 16 famous logos with a hidden meaning you've never noticed. #logomeaning #logosecret # Hyundai 0:33 The letter ’Н’ symbolizes two people – a client and a representative of the company – shaking hands. Adidas 0:52 The current logo is three stripes at an angle which together form a triangle. This symbolizes a mountain, which in turn represents the challenges that all sportsmen have to overcome day after day. Apple 1:21 Rob Janoff, the designer who came up with the world-famous Apple company logo, explained his idea in one of his interviews. He bought a bag of apples, placed them in a bowl, and spent time drawing them for a week, trying to break the image down into something simple. Vaio 1:58 The first two letters of the Vaio logo symbolize an analogue wave. The last two are similar to the numbers 1 and 0 — that is, symbols of a digital signal. Amazon 2:14 The orange arrow is similar to a smile because the company wants its customers to be satisfied. The arrow is also stretched between the letters ’A’ and ’Z’, in a hint that the company sells absolutely every product you can imagine. Baskin Robbins 2:40 The pink-colored parts of the "BR" section make up the number 31, which is how many ice cream flavors Baskin Robbins used to famously sell. Toyota 2:56 The logo represents a stylized image of a needle eye with a thread passing through it. This is a hint at the company’s past – they used to produce weaving machines. Continental 3:28 Continental, a famous car tire producer, has a logo in which the first two letters depict a car wheel. Formula 1 3:41 If you look carefully at the white space between the letter ’F’ and the red stripes, you can see the number 1. Pinterest 3:59 On Pinterest, people collect images they like from across the Internet and ’pin’ them to their online boards. That’s why the image of a pin is hidden in the letter P. Beats 4:17 Beats, an audio equipment producer based in the USA, uses a logo in which the letter ’B’ looks like headphones on a person’s head. Toblerone 4:32 The famous chocolate company based in Bern, Switzerland, has a silhouette of a bear in its logo. That's because Bern is sometimes called a city of bears. BMW 4:55 The logo is simply a part of the Bavarian flag, the area of Germany where the company originated. LG 5:18 The logo is a stylized image of a person’s face. According to the company, this represents its aspiration to have human relations with their customers. Evernote 5:34 The corner of the elephant’s ear is folded over in a similar way how people fold the corner of a page to make notes. Coca-Cola 5:57 In the space between the letters ’O’ and ’L’, you can see the Danish flag. It’s purely a coincidence. Nevertheless, Coca-Cola has used this as part of its marketing campaigns in the Scandinavian country. If you’ve enjoyed this video, hit that thumbs up button! 15 MOST Luxurious Fashion Brands

11:15
From Oscar de la Renta to Chanel, here are some of the most lavish and prestigious fashion brands. Subscribe to Hindered Thoughts http://goo.gl/d3U3RP 6. Chanel The high fashion wear company was introduced to the world back in 1909 by none other than Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, otherwise known as “Coco Chanel.” This is where the brand gets its inspiration for the famously recognizable logo that is two interlocking C’s. The company specializes in creating haute couture for its wealthy clients but also for fashion models like Naomi Campbell, who once modeled for them, and actresses Marilyn Monroe, Keira Knightley, and Nicole Kidman. One of their most famous products is the perfume No. 5 de Chanel, along with the Chanel Suit. Today, Chanel is valued at being $6.8 billion dollars. An interesting fact to note is that Karl Lagerfeld, the creative director behind Fendi, happens to be the creative director for Chanel as well. 5. Prada Founded back in 1913 by Mario Prada, this fashion brand actually started out by manufacturing leather bags and trunks. It would then evolve into selling everything from clothing to perfume and even a brief stint of LG Prada cell phones. Though the brand may have broadened its inventory, it still spends the majority of its focus creating some of the world’s most exclusive handbags that only the rich and famous can possibly hope to afford. Mario Prada believed that women should not be involved in business so he excluded his own family members from getting involved. In a fantastic twist of irony, his son did not care to run the business so his daughter Luisa Prada took over as his successor and is now currently being run by her daughter Miuccia. 4. House of Versace The fashion empire that is the House of Versace all started with fashion designer Gianni Versace back in 1978. He created a brand that has been synonymous with elegance and simply oozes high fashion. His glamorous gowns have gone on to make a name for himself as a respected designer. Like the case of the famous black dress held with gold safety pins that actress Elizabeth Hurley wore back in 1994 to the premiere of Four Weddings and A Funeral. Sadly, Versace’s life was cut short in 1997 on the steps of his Miami mansion when he became the fifth and final victim of Andrew Cunanan. The tragic event will be the story behind American Crime Story’s season 2 titled: The Assassination of Gianni Versace. After his death, his sister Donatella became the new Artistic Director and has established a $5.5 billion company her brother would be proud of. 3. Gucci Started in 1921 by a Mr. Guccio Gucci, the company was originally dabbing in leather goods. It wasn’t until 19 years later when his son Aldo would take the company from being a one-stop shop into the fashion powerhouse that it’s now known for being. It’s Aldo that would usher in the era of the brand’s iconic “Bamboo Bag” and its “ready to wear segments.” In the 90’s, the company decided to bring American Fashion designer Tom Ford to revamp their women’s wear. He ended up helping launch the brand to where it is today. The fashion brand houses other well-known designers in its collections such as Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, and Yves Saint Laurent. If you’re in the market to do some shopping at this $12.4 billion brand, expect to spend at least $2,000. 2. Louis Vuitton This may come as a shock but the famous fashion brand has been around longer than you might have thought. Formed 163 years ago in 1854, a young man by the name of Louis Vuitton started out as an apprentice for a box-maker. Vuitton ended up becoming a well-known crafter of luxury trunks and opened up his own shop in Paris. He then ended up becoming the personal box-maker of Napoleon III’s wife, Empress Eugenie de Montijo. Fast forward years later and the company is now worth $28.1 billion with a generated revenue of $10.1 billion. Today, Louis Vuitton doesn’t make just trunks but designer handbags and clothing that can be spotted on the most famous of A-listers. 1. Balenciaga The beginning of Balenciaga’s reign began back in 1919 when it was established by its founder of the same name, Cristóbal Balenciaga. As a young child, Balenciaga became an apprentice to a tailor in his hometown of Getaria, Spain and would eventually get his formal training in Madrid. He would go on to create the House of Balenciaga and skyrocketed to success thanks to his artistic genius. He was hailed as the undisputed “ King of Fashion” and was highly respected among his peers which included the likes of Coco Chanel, Christian Dior, and Pierre Balmain. Balenciaga even helped train the likes of high-fashion designers Oscar de la Renta and Hubert Givenchy to name a few.

10 Secrets Hidden Inside Famous Logos

04:34
See more at www.brilliantnews.com Branding nowadays is absolutely everywhere you look. We are constantly bombarded with so many icons and logos that we rarely stop to look further into them, but there are some very interesting and bizarre secrets hiding within these 10 famous logos! 1. Hyundai Bet you think the H logo is just the first letter of the South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai? Of course you do! But it actually represents two figures: the happy client shaking hands with the Hyundai salesman, cleverly projecting the subliminal message of a successful car purchase. 2. Apple It was Rob Janoff who was tasked with creating the apple logo back in 1977. Janoff bought a bag of apples and spent the week sketching them, trying to represent the perfect angle where the fruit couldn´t be mistaken for a cherry. This was when he added a bite mark and stumbled across the similarity between Bite and Byte. This was definitely a selling point for Steve Jobs. 3. Vaio The first two letters in the computer company's name symbolize a digital waveform and the io is designed to look like a 1 and a 0, representing binary and the mix of analog and digital. Also the melody that sounds on startup actually derives from the dialtone sounds on a telephone keypad on typing V-A-I-O 4. Amazon Always aiming to please, Amazon designed their logo to represent a smile, projecting a sense of satifaction in their brand. Not only that, but the arrow also starts at ´a´ and finishes at 'z' implying that the company stocks every product you could possibly desire. 5. Toyota T-o-y-o-t-a. All the letters of the companies name can be found within the logo. But what does it represent? You're thinking A big strong buffalo's head or a cowboy with a hat, right? Wrong! It actually represents a needle and thread! This Japanese car manufacturer actually began making weaving machines and keeps its logo to this day! 6. Continental Sometimes overlooked, the continental logo is simple and clever. The first two letters are designed to symbolize a car wheel. 7. Toblerone This awkward-to-eat chocolate treat doesn't just have a simple mountain in its logo. Toblerone is made in Bern, Switzerland, so it´s no surprise to see one of the Swiss alps in its logo. But it also hides a secret bear hidden in the mountain, as Bern is known as the city of bears and the bear symbol is heavily decorated throughout the city. 8. BMW The German motor company started out making airplanes in 1916 and many think that the checker pattern in its logo represents the spinning propellers of an airplane. But it is actually just the design of the Bavarian flag, the part of Germany where the company originated. 9. Domino's Pizza In 1960 College dropout Tom Monaghan borrowed $900 to by a tiny pizza placed called Dominic's. 5 years later he bought 2 more locations. The former owner refused Tom the permission to use his name in the franchise so Tom turned it into Domino's. The dice in the logo represent the first restaurant that he bought, followed by the next two, and he had planned on adding numbers on every new opening. That was before he realized how big the franchise would become. 10. Unilever Who is Unilever, right? It's actually a huge corporation which owns over 400 famous brands. You've only got to look on the back of any of these popular products to find their logo hiding there. (Axe, Lipton, Ben and Jerry's, Dove, Heartbrand, Hellman's) But that's not all, the actual unilever logo is made up of 25 smaller logos, each with a rich meaning. A strand of hair or an icecream representing various brands, to more obscure references, like this bee... Which of these logos surprised you the most? Comment Below!

12 Famous Logos With a Secret Meaning

10:53
A logo is the face of a brand, and we often buy this or that item because its “face” is well-known to the world. Come on, don’t deny it! As for the best logos, they convey a hidden subtext that represents the company’s values, goals, or history. So, here are 12 world-famous logos with a secret hidden meaning! TIMESTAMPS: Airbnb 1:15 TripAdvisor 2:02 MasterCard 2:55 Dell 3:53 National Geographic 4:26 Vodafone 5:08 Haribo 6:00 Subway 6:37 DC Comics 7:29 Mozilla Firefox 8:15 Bacardi 9:09 Orbit 9:42 Preview photo credit: Firefox logo used since June 2013 (version 23.0 Beta), Previous version of logo, used since Firefox 3.5: By © The Mozilla Foundation, CC BY 3.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/deed.es, https://es.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archivo:Mozilla_Firefox_logo_2013.svg Animation is created by Bright Side Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - The logo contains 4 simple yet meaningful elements: the head of a person that represents a user of their site, the sign for a location on a map to show where the house or apartment is, a heart to represent love, and, finally, all of these symbols combine to make the letter “A” for Airbnb. - TripAdvisor’s logo is an owl, which symbolizes wisdom and knowledge. As for its different-colored eyes, they show that each traveler has a choice to make: green means go, and red means no! - The international payment system we all know these days as MasterCard was established in 1966 as Interbank. Red stands for bravery, passion, and for doing what makes you feel joy. The bright yellow symbolizes prosperity. - Ever wonder why the “E” in Dell’s logo is all askew? Well, the founder of the company, Michael Dell, wanted to convey the meaning of the popular idiom “turn the world on its ear,” which means to change something in an exciting way. - National Geographic, the popular magazine and channel that broadcasts documentaries in 171 countries, made its logo a yellow rectangle. The rectangle symbolizes a door that’s open to the world of knowledge about nature, science, and culture. Yellow and bright just like the Sun. - Vodafone is a British mobile provider that operates mostly in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. The company chose a couple of mysterious things for its logo, which looks sort of like an earphone. The designers wanted to show that, with Vodafone, users can talk to each other any time they want. - The Haribo’s founder combined the first 2 letters of his first and last name, Hans Riegel, and added the first 2 letters of his hometown of Bonn. - The arrows on the first and last letters of the Subway logo are there for a reason: they actually stand for the entrance and exit to the subway. This way, the company demonstrates that, with Subway, you can eat on the go, like in the actual subway! - Jim Lee revealed what the new logo of DC Comics actually means. The nooks and angles are meant to evoke the Superman “S” symbol, the Wonder Woman “WW” emblem, and the Bat-Signal. - “Firefox” is the English translation of the Chinese name for a red panda. This way, the company wanted to demonstrate how unique they are because this is a very rare kind of panda that’s actually endangered. - The legend goes that the wife of Bacardi’s co-founder saw a bat in their liquor factory. But instead of getting scared and running for the exit, he took it as a sign and decided that this was exactly what should be on the logo. - If you look closely at the Orbit's logo, you’ll notice that the capital “O” is split into 2 parts: one dark and one light. In the background you can see the image of an orbit. So, it’s clear that the “O” symbolizes day and night and a planet revolving around the Sun. But even though you see these brands every day, you probably haven’t paid attention to what they really mean. Today, we are showing you 15 hidden images in logos you never noticed. McDonald’s is probably one of the most popular fast food chains in the world. But most people don’t even know what image is hidden in this logo. If you turn it upside down, the letter “M” becomes the symbol of nourishing breasts. This is what design consultant and psychologist Louis Cheskin said when he wanted to convince the fast food restaurant to keep the same logo. And after so many years of success, we could believe that he was right to think so. There is another symbol of motherhood in Wendy’s logo. Many people see the word “mom” on this young girl’s collar. This symbol is easier to understand, but this time, the company claims that it was not intentional. Even though they didn’t mean to add this hidden image to their logo, they still think it is interesting to associate the brand with the best cook in the world: our mom. 10 Mistakes and Secrets You Never Knew About Famous Logos

08:25
You’d think that the most successful companies in the world invest good money for their logos to be picture-perfect, yet even Google isn’t immune to messing up a logo design. Pay attention to 10 super famous company logos that are hiding something or have design fails and mistakes in them. We all know what the White House looks like, and you’d think there’d be no possible difficulties recreating it in an image. However, there were at least 3 attempts to create a logo, all of which resulted in mistakes. Wikipedia’s logo representing knowledge has a really embarrassing mistake right in the middle of the image! You wouldn’t catch it unless you know Chinese, so we’ll let you in on the big secret. Some people saw a man bending over vomiting in the London Olympics logo, while others were joking that it looked like Lisa Simpson in a compromising position. Salvador Dali hired to design the Chupa Chups logo put the brand’s name on a bright daisy and insisted that the logo be placed on top of the wrapper so that everyone could see it. And it’s basically stayed the same since then! When asked about the imperfection of letter “G” in their logo, Google chose the best route a person can when explaining his or her mistakes. They simply said that they’re aware of the inaccurate “G”, but that was all part of the plan! This slight imperfection makes their image playful and approachable. Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS The White House 0:38 Wendy’s 1:29 Wikipedia 2:20 Hershey’s Kisses 3:28 The London Olympics 3:54 7-Eleven 4:42 Chupa Chups 5:17 Walt Disney 6:01 Pepsi 6:47 Google 7:17 SUMMARY -The designers of the White House’s logo made mistakes depicting the arch shape, mixed up the order of the windows and even lost pillars on the roof. -You might see nothing special in Wendy’s white and blue striped collar, but a closer look will reveal the word “mom” right in the center. -Wikipedia logo’s designer meant to write the Chinese word “wi”, but one tiny yet extra stroke made the symbol gibberish. -Lean your head towards your left shoulder, and you’ll get a sweet surprise: a chocolate kiss between the “K” and “I”. -Iranian participants in the London Olympic Games were upset by the peculiar style of the numbers 2012 because they read the word “Zion” in it. -All the letters in the word “eleven” in 7-Eleven logo are capitalized, except for one: the “n”. -The creator of Chupa Chups Spaniard Enric Bernat picked the most famous surrealist artist in the world Salvador Dali himself to design the new brand logo. -Those elegant swirls in the “W”, “i” and “y” in Disney logo look exactly like three sixes in a row. -If you wanna see what Pepsi can potentially do to you, just add a little circle on top of its logo, some arms and legs, and voila. -The letter “G” in Google logo doesn’t look the way it should. It’s not the complete perfect circle it’s supposed to be, and the inner circle is also far from ideal. some of the most famous logos in the world, and others a little less well known, have hidden meanings which make them that little bit extra special. In fact, it seems that in some cases, every line, curve and color has meaning behind it. Here are 17 famous logos with hidden meanings that we never noticed before. Fascinating! 17. Hyundai Many people are inclined to think that the logo of the South Korean conglomerate Hyundai is simply the first letter of its name. But actually, the letter ’Н’ symbolises two people (a client and a representative of the company) shaking hands. 16. Adidas The name Adidas is derived from that of its founder, Adolf Dassler. The company’s logo has changed over time, but it’s always included three stripes. The current configuration is three stripes at an angle which together form a triangle. This symbolises a mountain, which in turn represents the challenges which all athletes have to overcome. 15. Apple Rob Yanov, the designer who created with the world-famous Apple company logo, has explained how he came up with the idea: ’I bought a whole bag of apples, placed them in a bowl, and spent time drawing them for a week, trying to break the image down into something simple. Taking a bite out of an apple was part of the experiment, and completely by coincidence I realised that ’bite’ sounded exactly the same as the computer term ’byte’. 14. Sony Vaio The first two letters of the logo of Sony Vaio make up a wave, which represents an analogue symbol, whereas the last two are similar to the numbers 1 and 0 — that is, symbols of a digital signal. 13. Amazon At first glance, Amazon’s logo appears to be nothing special. But it was designed with the philosophy of the company in mind. The orange arrow is similar to a smile, as the company wants its customers to be satisfied. The arrow is also stretched between the letters ’A’ and ’Z’, in a hint that the company sells absolutely every product imaginable (’from A to Z’). 12. Baskin-Robbins The pink-colored areas of the "BR" part of the logo here make up the number 31, which is the number of different flavors of ice cream that Baskin-Robbins used to famously sell. 11. Toyota Many people have compared the logo of the Japanese car-producer Toyota to the image of a cowboy wearing a stereotypical hat. But it actually represents a stylised image of the eye of a needle with a thread passed through it. This is a hint at the company’s past — of a time when it used to produce weaving machines. At the same time, the individual parts of the logo also spell out the letters of the company’s name. 8. Pinterest The logo of the popular internet site Pinterest, which people use to collect images they like from across net and ’pin’ them to their online notice board, has the image of a pin hidden in the letter P. 6. Toblerone Toblerone, the famous chocolate company based in Bern, Switzerland, includes a silhouette of a bear in its logo, on account of the fact that Bern is sometimes called a city of bears. 5. BMW It’s often supposed that the central part of the BMW logo symbolizes the rotating blades of an airplane, in line with the company’s early history of aviation technology, but it is in fact simply a part of the Bavarian flag — the area of Germany where the company originated. 4. LG The logo of the South Korean electronics company LG is a stylized image of a person’s face. According to the company, this represents its aspiration to maintain ordinary, human relations with its customers. 3. Evernote Elephants are known for having impressive memories, including their ability to remember both faces and events. It’s for this reason that Evernote, a note-taking application, uses an image of the animal as part of its logo. 1. Pepsi 2. Coca-Cola

What makes a truly great logo

04:45
Here's how a simple mark ends up meaning something big as a great logo. Joe Posner, and Michael Bierut (designer of the Hillary Clinton logo) explain. For more from Michael Bierut on graphic design, check out his book "How to use graphic design to sell things, explain things, make things look better, make people laugh, cry, and (every once in a while) change the world": http://www.amazon.com/How-Michael-Bierut/dp/0062413902 Subscribe to our channel! http://goo.gl/0bsAjO About once a month, there's a new logo to fight about on the internet. The biggest one in recent memory was the highly controversial Hillary Clinton logo, which did not escape scrutiny from Vox.com either. But as a designer/filmmaker, something about these repeated discussions struck me as missing the point on what makes logos tick. It often has little to do with the subjective musings. So I called up Michael Bierut, the designer of that Hillary Clinton logo and countless others. He sat down with me and helped explain the elements of a great logo in the video above. Fashion Brands Approved By The Royal Family

10 Fashion labels commonly worn by the royal family. Subscribe: https://goo.gl/Hnoaw3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In addition to being royalty, the members of the royal family are also widely regarded as fashion icons. Whenever one of them makes an important appearance, that piece of clothing is sure to skyrocket in value, before selling out immediately of course. But what brands do the royals love to wear? You might be relieved to know that some of them might not be totally out of your price range. Meghan Markle wears plenty of expensive things, but also loves the more mid-range clothing from Aritzia. Kate Middleton trusted one of her favorite labels, Alexander McQueen, with making her now famous wedding gown. Not to mention the many everyday dresses she owns from them. Even the Queen has her favorite items, including Burberry coats and Hunter rain boots. Even Prince Harry loves a nice cashmere sweater from the brand Everlane. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheTalko Twitter: https://twitter.com/thetalko Instagram: https://instagram.com/the_talko ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.thetalko.com/

11 Mysteries of Famous Icons People Don’t Know About

10:24
A lot of works of art and architecture are famous all around the world, but we often don’t know a lot about them. Here's a list of 11 of the most intriguing ones. We were amazed at what we found out, and we are sure that so will you! TIMESTAMPS The top-floor apartment of the Eiffel Tower 0:34 The broken chain of the Statue of Liberty 1:27 The Isleworth Mona Lisa 2:07 The time capsule in Mount Rushmore 2:55 The Matterhorn at Disneyland 4:10 The Sphinx’s original appearance 4:54 The creation of the Leaning Tower of Pisa 5:46 The face of Rembrandt’s Danaë 6:42 The name of the most famous tourist attraction in Britain 7:48 The color of the Golden Gate Bridge 8:38 The sky in the painting The Scream 9:16 SUMMARY - Gustave Eiffel, the man who designed France’s most popular monument, built and fitted out an apartment for himself on its top floor. He often used it to rest and receive guests. - The monument was presented to the USA by the people of France in honor of the 100th anniversary of the American Revolution. It symbolizes freedom, democracy, and the repeal of any kind of slavery. This is the reason why a broken chain lies at the feet of the Statue. - It’s a well-known fact that many artists have reproduced the famous Mona Lisa. But it’s believed that there is one other portrait painted by da Vinci himself, and it’s not a copy. What is interesting is that the second version if painted from a slightly different perspective. - During the construction of this famous monument, architect Gutzon Borglum wanted to create a Hall of Chronicles inside the cliff face. He wanted it to be a secret room where future generations would find the fundamental records about the USA’s history. For this purpose, he excavated a cave behind the head of Abraham Lincoln. - The Matterhorn at Disneyland was designed and named after a mountain in the Alps. Climbers used the basketball court and staging area to prepare for scheduled climbs or to pass the time when the weather was bad. - The Great Sphinx of Giza is the oldest statue in the world. Originally, it was decorated with bright paint, but because it’s has been far too long since the statue was constructed, now we can only see some fragments of the paint behind the ears. It also had a nose and a ceremonial beard. - The famous tower has many secrets. Everybody knows that the tower is leaning, but very few people know who build the bell tower for Pisa’s cathedral. One of the reasons for this mystery is that it was built over the course of nearly 200 years, so it definitely couldn’t have been one person. - Rembrandt started painting Danaë two years after his marriage to Saskia van Uylenburgh. The artist depicted his wife in many of his paintings, so it was a mystery for a long time who was in Danaë. - You probably know that «Big Ben» doesn’t refer to the whole tower in the British Houses of Parliament, but instead only to the large bell within it. Now the official name of the structure is «The Elizabeth Tower». - It took a long time to agree on the construction with the United States Navy. The Navy wanted it to be painted in black and yellow stripes so that it would be visible in the fog. In the end, the architect of the bridge, Irving Morrow convinced the military to paint it a dark orange color. - In 2003, a group of astronomers suggested a theory that the bright scarlet color of the sky that astounded the artists so much was caused by the Krakatoa volcano eruption in 1883. A huge amount of volcanic dust was thrown up into the atmosphere so that people could observe bright flame-like sunsets all around the world. Everything You Need to Know About PUMA's Iconic Cat Logo

04:21
From its early days commemorating founder Rudolf Dassler to its current "No.1 Logo," here's everything you need to know about the evolution and history of PUMA's iconic cat logo. Since its establishment in 1948, PUMA has become one of the most prominent sport and lifestyle brands in the world. Most recently, the German company has found fresh success by recruiting a number of entertainers as ambassadors and collaborators, including Rihanna, Big Sean, and Selena Gomez. Here, however, we’re focusing on the origins of the brand’s iconic logo. PUMA’s original logo featured a puma cat leaping through a capital “D,” which stood for Dassler as a nod to brand founder Rudolf Dassler. The motif was updated in 1957 with the addition of the word “PUMA” underneath the cat. A year later, the words “Rudolf,” “Dassler,” and “Schuhfabrik” (shoe factory) were added to the design. In 1968, the logo was stripped down to feature a leaping puma with no border or text, and two years later, the design was refined once again, this time by cartoonist Lutz Backes. Following experiments with two different fonts in the mid-’70s, PUMA settled on the uppercase script that remains to this day, adding the silhouette of a puma leaping over the upper-right corner of the text. This design from 1979 remains largely untouched to this day. For a more detailed history of PUMA’s iconic emblem, hit play on the video above. Since its humble beginnings in 1992, GrainPro has been recognized as a leader in hermetic storage and postharvest solutions. The company has been helping food producers of all sizes reduce their food losses and increase overall profits. its technology has continued to evolve to fit the needs of farmers as the world becomes more connected. Today, GrainPro’s products are being used in more than 110 countries worldwide. Its name has become synonymous in solar drying, and the safe and chemical-free storage of a wide range of dry agricultural commodities. Its impact and positive contributions are felt especially in developing parts of the world where 25 to 40 percent of staple food crops are lost due to infestation and fungal growth because of improper handling and management. GrainPro’s rebranding reflects its successful and ongoing growth in the food security sector. Today, the company is also leading the way in innovative solar drying and transport solutions – providing a full suite of products designed to protect food from farm to market to tables. “We’ve been working on a brand that captures our leading role in the industry,” says Tommy Ng, Vice President for International Sales and Marketing at GrainPro. “Its implementation is a step in the right direction as we continue to position our company as more than a product or service, but as an inspiration in the marketplace, in the industry and within the communities we live in.” The new logo – the first in 10 years – echoes a contemporary look and feel that appeals to this generation’s food producers. It evokes the radical evolution of the symbolic stem and leaves that used to stand out alone into what appears to be embraced and connected to the rest of the image. This signifies GrainPro’s link to its focus on sustainability and growth, and in earning the lifetime loyalty and trust of customers. The green tint mirrors its mission of developing solutions that are safe for consumers and the environment, while raising the quality of life of food producers and smallholder farmers, especially in developing parts of the world. The new typeface lends an elegant, modern, and cleaner appearance. “Storing the Future” will stay as GrainPro’s tagline. Timeless and on-point, this reminds customers about the company’s ultimate mission, suggesting an optimistic and brighter tomorrow – without hunger –through innovation. Please watch this video to see how GrainPro’s logo has evolved.

12 Most Famous Trademarks Of The World

12:20
I'm Lorenzo and I'll tell you about the most famous trademarks. 12)Coca-Cola Coca-Cola is not only one of the most famous trademarks. According to Interbrand's “best global brand” study, in 2015 Coca-Cola was the third world's most valuable brand. It's also one of the icons of pop culture. In the 18th century John Pemberton, an American pharmacist, started to work on a drink that could fight morphine addiction. Little did he know that the recipe he came up with in 1886 would conquer the hearts (and palates) of billions of people and become one of the best recognizable products of all times. The name “Coca-Cola” refers to two of the original ingredients: Coca leaves and Kola nuts. Nowadays there are many variations of Coke: Diet Coke, Caffeine-Free Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Cherry, Coca-Cola Vanilla, Coca-Cola Zero... It's quite weird to think that Coke was supposed to be just a patent medicine, isn't it? 11)McDonalds McDonald's – the largest restaurant chain that's loved and hated by millions of people all over the world. Some see it as a danger: it became a symbol of unhealthy food, globalization, and obesity. The other praise the possibility to get a cheap and commonly thought to be tasty food, served within a couple of minutes. Whether you despise the idea of an international restaurant that sells the same food all over the world or are delighted by the genius of Ray Kroc, whose not entirely ethical methods resulted in a worldwide success of the corporation, you have to admit that it would be almost impossible to find someone who does not know what McDonald's is. The history of McDonald's began in 1940, when two brothers, Richard and Maurice McDonald, opened their hamburger restaurant in San Bernardino, California. It would have remained just another family restaurant if Ray Kroc hadn't dined in there one day and hadn't decided to take over the place. Not immediately, of course, but his aggressive business practice has eventually forced he McDonald brothers to leave the food industry. Today McDonald's is the second world's largest private employer. You'll find McDonald's restaurants in over 100 countries. Have you had your Big Mac or McFlurry today? Congratulations, it means you were one of the 69 million customers served by McDonald's daily. 10)Google “If you can't find something in Google, it means it does not exist” – would you agree? Google is actually a lot more than just an almighty browser. Its products include online advertising technologies, cloud computing, software, and hardware. Google is the most valuable brand in the world. You probably have heard that working for them is a dream. But you might know about the darker side of that Internet giant – privacy concerns, censorship and extensive users' data collection are only a few of them. Whether you like them or not, chances are you have your Google account and you use Google browser on a daily basis. It comes as no surprise that Google.com is the most visited website in the world! The company was started in 1996 by two Ph.D. students from Stanford University, Larry Page, and Sergey Brin. In 2016, Google operated 70 offices in more than 40 countries. And who said Ph.D. studies can't bring you a fortune? 9)Microsoft In 1972 Bill Gates and his childhood friend, Paul Allen, started their first company, Traf-O-Data. 3 years later, they established Microsoft, which today is world's largest software maker. You may be using Microsoft's best-known product right now – Windows. And if you work in an office, Microsoft Office might be a part of your everyday life. Microsoft employs 124,000 people. In 2012 the company owned 10,000 patents. Are there any fans of games such as Age of Empires or Minecraft? They're also products of Microsoft! And in 2011, one of the most popular internet communicators, Skype, was bought by the company for US$8.5 billion. However, if you think that only in 2017 Microsoft's net income amounted to US$21.2 billion, it doesn't seem like that big of an expense. 8)Apple
