If You Swim in Square Waves, Your Life Is in Danger!
There are some waves that you really don’t ever want to encounter when you’re swimming in the ocean. Square waves look like a giant chess board over the ocean. It's pretty awesome but incredibly dangerous. Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - If you look off the western coast of France, you’ll see the Isle of Rhe. The coolest part about it is what you see just beyond the shore: square waves. This strange wave pattern looks like a giant chess board over the ocean. - When two different swells coming from opposite directions meet, it’s known as a cross sea. This is what generates these square waves you see near the Isle of Rhe. - Because these two seas have totally different weather conditions, a unique pattern emerges when they collide. They create a riptide that’s stronger than your average wave - way stronger than what you’ve probably experienced at the beach with regular waves. - There have been a handful of cases where people got caught in the cross sea, but, thankfully and luckily, they managed to get out safely. - These square waves have become somewhat famous over time given that there’s really no other place in the world that boasts a cross sea like this one. - The Boiling Lake on the Island of Dominica is one body of water you’ll definitely want to stay away from. From high heat to strong gas emissions, there are plenty of reasons to stay out of The Boiling Lake. - You’ll probably want to steer clear of the town of West End on Grand Bahama Island. This deadly beach is known for being one of the most shark-infested beaches in the world. - While the south and west coasts of Barbados are ideal for swimming and snorkeling, the east and north beaches have incredibly strong tides that can be quite treacherous. - Condado Beach in Puerto Rico is a desirable destination in the city of San Juan. However, the beach’s mighty waves and powerful current make this a very dangerous place to go swimming. The Dead Sea coast (from the Israeli side) with high waves on a winter day
Zahi Shaked A tour guide in Israel and his camera [email protected] +972-54-6905522 tel סיור עם מורה הדרך ומדריך הטיולים צחי שקד 0546905522 My name is Zahi Shaked In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide. My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land. Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity. In order to fulfill this "calling" in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters) Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, "glide" over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and "see" the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

Dead sea amazing natural phenomenon - DeadSea salt cubes
Cubes of salt washed up on the shore in the Deadsea (Israel Dead sea, Deadsea) Dead sea (from wikipedia): also called the Salt Sea, is a salt lake bordering Jordan to the east, and Palestine and Israel to the west. near Jerusalem. Its surface and shores are 427 metres (1,401 ft) below sea level, Earth's lowest elevation on land. The Dead Sea is 306 m (1,004 ft) deep, the deepest hypersaline lake in the world. With 34.2% salinity (in 2011), it is also one of the world's saltiest bodies of water, though Lake Vanda in Antarctica (35%), Lake Assal (Djibouti) (34.8%), Lagoon Garabogazköl in the Caspian Sea (up to 35%) and some hypersaline ponds and lakes of the McMurdo Dry Valleys in Antarctica (such as Don Juan Pond (44%)) have reported higher salinities. It is 9.6 times as salty as the ocean. This salinity makes for a harsh environment in which animals cannot flourish, hence its name. The Dead Sea is 50 kilometres (31 mi) long and 15 kilometres (9 mi) wide at its widest point. It lies in the Jordan Rift Valley, and its main tributary is the Jordan River. The Dead Sea has attracted visitors from around the Mediterranean basin for thousands of years. Biblically, it was a place of refuge for King David. It was one of the world's first health resorts (for Herod the Great), and it has been the supplier of a wide variety of products, from balms for Egyptian mummification to potash for fertilizers. People also use the salt and the minerals from the Dead Sea to create cosmetics and herbal sachets. The Dead Sea seawater has a density of 1.240 kg/L, which makes swimming similar to floating." dead seas near Jerusalem halite phenomenon (from wikipedia): "commonly known as rock salt, is the mineral form of sodium chloride (NaCl). Halite forms isometric crystals. The mineral is typically colorless or white, but may also be light blue, dark blue, purple, pink, red, orange, yellow or gray depending on the amount and type of impurities. It commonly occurs with other evaporite deposit minerals such as several of the sulfates, halides, and borates" - more in wikipedia view more interesting videos like : "15 Craziest Natural Phenomena on Earth" "Ice Balls forming along Lake Michigan near Glen Arbor" "2014 WHAT IS GOING ON? China's Dead Sea swimming pool in Sichuan - no comment
Thousands of swimmers filled an indoor wave pool to the brim in southwest China's Sichuan Province, creating a scene resembling "boiling dumplings" as visitors try to escape the unrelenting heat wave. Known as "China's Dead Sea", the saltwater pool located in an amusement park in Sichuan's Daying County is attracting more than 12,000 tourists every day, as temperatures in parts of the province hit 41 degrees Celsius this week. Nearly 15,000 people visited the pool on Saturday, almost triple what was envisaged by the pool's designers. "There's so many people here, it's like a cauldron of boiling dumplings," said one of the swimmers at the crowded pool. In response to rising safety concerns, pool administrators said they have taken steps to prevent any danger. "There are six to eight people dealing with emergencies and two to three lifeguards patrolling on the stage. Also, we have sent about a dozen staff workers into the crowd to watch over visitors around the pool," said Wang Tongming, manager of the "China's Dead Sea" Water Amusement Park. Wang said that a clinic has also been set up near the wave pool to deal with minor injuries. According to Xinhua news agency, the pool received over a million visitors last summer. Internal Waves (Dead Water Effect)
This video shows an internal wave between the interface of fluids of different densities. There is salty, more dense, water on the bottom (transparent) and fresh, less dense, water on top (blue). We stir fresh water to induce a wave motion, but the free surface stays completely flat, while the wave is generated at the fluid interface. This phenomena is also knwon as the "Dead Water Effect" and can be observed at for instance the southern coast of Spain. See my personal webpage: https://yousvanhalder.com/index.html

If You Ever See This on the Beach, Cry for Help!
How do you recognize something that you can touch and something you have to run away from as fast as possible? Here is a list of the most dangerous sea creatures you can meet and how to recognize them! There are so many different species living in the ocean! Some of them are beautiful, some are deadly, and some are both. TIMESTAMPS Fire Coral 0:40 Flower Urchin 1:20 Cone Snail 1:50 Portuguese Man-of-War 2:32 Snea snakes 3:54 Lionfish 4:51 Chironex 5:39 Surgeonfish 6:15 Indonesian needlefish 6:59 Triggerfish 7:34 SUMMARY - Fire Coral. These small organisms can sting, and the effect can be not very serious and it can be quite bad. A stung person may have severe pains, feel nauseated and even vomit, which is not the best thing to do when you are underwater. - Flower Urchin is both very beautiful and very deadly. It contains toxins that can cause anaphylactic shock, convulsions and finally death. You can get poisoned if you step on it when you are in the sea or the ocean. - Scientists say that just one drop of the cone snail’s poison is enough to kill 20 people! Just one drop! - The most mind-blowing fact about Man-of-War is that technically we should call it Men-of-War, and refer to it not as «it», but «they», and here is why: it’s an animal that is made up of a colony of organisms cooperating together. Man-of-war has tentacles that can be 30 feet long, which it uses to paralyze and kill fish and other small creatures. - Sea snakes are much more venomous than their land-living friends. As it turns out, they have to be like that because they hunt fish, so what they need to do is immobilize their prey very quickly not to let it escape. - Many people call the lionfish the most beautiful sea creature in the world. You can find them in the Caribbean and Eastern Atlantic. Lionfishes are not deadly — they do have a venom, but it’s not lethal. However, the pain you will experience if you get stung is so severe that people say you might wish you were dead. - Chironex doesn’t have any teeth, but it’s dangerous as hell. If a person gets stung, they will have excruciating pain, red inflammation in the stung area and heart dysfunction. - Surgeonfish are easily spooked, so you should be extra careful if you see one of them. Don’t make any unexpected fast moves. The good news is, surgeonfish are not aggressive unless, of course, you provoke them. - Indonesian needlefish live in tropical and subtropical waters of the oceans. They, as the name suggests, have a very sharp, needle-like beak, and they are especially dangerous when they hurl themselves out of the water. - Triggerfish is mostly friendly, but only until you are a threat to its nest. The most dangerous are females — if you approach its nest even accidentally, it will bite you. Thankfully, the bites aren’t poisonous, but triggerfish have extremely sharp teeth, so the injuries it can cause need serious medical attention. Chasing Waves: Measuring Skyscraper-High Waves Beneath the Sea
(Visit: http://www.uctv.tv/) “Internal waves,” large waves that break underwater, can displace the ocean’s layers, mixing cold, nutrient-rich water below with the waters above. Matthew Alford of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography introduces these waves, describes the technology used to observe them and discusses their three primary impacts: interfering with submarine navigation, divers and offshore structures; fueling biological production and redistributing algae and larvae by transporting ocean nutrients into shallow coastal regions; and predicting climate change in conjunction with computer simulations of the ocean. Recorded on 11/13/2014. Series: "UC San Diego Founders’ Symposium" [Science] [Show ID: 29029]

[ Mr One ] Surfers Killed in Their Last Waves Caught on Camera
[ Mr One ] Sion Milosky, Kirk Passmore, Mark Foo Waves that ended in tragedy / Final rides caught on camera Sion Milosky - Mavericks He was a father of two and a dedicated big wave surfer. In 2010, he won an award for catching the biggest wave ever paddled into. In March of 2011, Sion Milosky drowned while surfing Mavericks in Half Moon Bay, Carlifornia Kirk Passmore - Alligator Rock Less than two days after Kirk Passmore went missing after a wipeout in large surf Wednesday on Oahu’s North Shore, his father expressed a wish that his son’s final ride be shared with as many people as possible. Mark Foo - Mavericks Chinese-born Mark Foo. In 1994, two days before Christmas, 36 year old Mark Foo drowned while surfing Mavericks a deadly big wave surf spot in Half Moon Bay outside of San Francisco. Fatalities are extremely rare in big-wave surfing, despite the raw power of enormous swells generated by faraway storms. That’s because surfers, by and large, are a close-knit group and watch out for one another. It’s also because most of them train vigorously to be able to withstand being held under for long periods, and because water patrol staff on personal watercraft are almost always on vigil during these large-surf events. (There have been great strides in water safety on the North Shore since Todd Chesser, a famous surfer, died at Alligator Rock in 1997.) Additionally, most surfers have come to realize the importance of floatation vests, which help them attain the surface faster after a wipeout, and keep their heads upright. In a big wave wipeout, a breaking wave can push surfers down 20 to 50 feet (6.2 m to 15.5 m) below the surface. Once they stop spinning around, they have to quickly regain their equilibrium and figure out which way is up. Surfers may have less than 20 seconds to get to the surface before the next wave hits them. Additionally, the water pressure at a depth of 20–50 feet can be strong enough to rupture one's eardrums. Strong currents and water action at those depths can also slam a surfer into a reef or the ocean floor, which can result in severe injuries or even death.[6] One of the greatest dangers is the risk of being held underwater by two or more consecutive waves. Surviving a triple hold-down is extremely difficult and surfers must be prepared to cope with these situations. Training styles vary such as D.Sloane weight drag/ free reef grab and pressure jet drag.[5] A major issue argued between big wave surfers is the necessity of the leash on the surfboard. In many instances, the leash can do more harm than good to a surfer, catching and holding them underwater and diminishing their opportunities to fight towards the surface. Other surfers, however, depend on the leash. Now, tow in surfboards use foot holds (like those found on windsurfs) rather than leashes to provide some security to the surfer.[5] These hazards have killed several big-wave surfers. Some of the most notable are Mark Foo, who died surfing Mavericks on December 23, 1994; Donnie Solomon, who died exactly a year later at Waimea Bay; Todd Chesser who died at Alligator Rock on the North Shore of Oahu on February 14, 1997; Malik Joyeux who died surfing Pipeline on Oahu on December 2, 2005; Peter Davi who died at Ghost Trees on December 4, 2007, Sion Milosky who died surfing Mavericks on March 16, 2011, and Kirk Passmore who died at Alligator Rock on November 12, 2014

Thousands of fun-seekers pack into the pool to experience the thrill of the wave machine. STORYLINE: If there were a contest for the world's most packed swimming pool, then China's Dead Sea leisure pool could scoop first prize. Never more so than when the wave machine fires up and everybody makes a beeline for the water. It's a riot of colour - with thousands of bodies wrapped-in rubber rings, being swept along in the surf. If you come here for a swim, then you're out of luck. This is the indoor pool at China's Dead Sea resort - and three times per day, when the wave machine runs, it's a multi-coloured human soup. Most here wear inflatable lifebelts because they can't swim - but, clearly, the extra padding helps prevent a lot of head injuries. Hao Mingyou is in charge of operations at the resort in Daying, near the Sichuan-Chongqing border. He says people clearly love it here - especially when it's wave time. Mingyou says: "The waves bring a lot of fun and excitement. When the waves roll, people are screaming and having a great time - that's how the Dead Sea of China makes people happy and healthy." For more peace and quiet, there's the outside lagoon. Safety is clearly a big concern. The Quran On Deep Sea And Oceans And Its Internal Waves
The Quran On Deep Seas, Ocean And It's Internal Waves Deep waters of seas and oceans are covered by waves, and above these waves are other waves. It is clear that the second set of waves are the surface waves that we see, because the quranic verse mentions that above the second waves there are clouds. Scientists have recently discovered that there are internal waves which occur on density interfaces between layers of different densities. The internal waves cover the deep waters of seas and oceans because the deep waters have a higher density than the waters above them. Internal waves act like surface waves. They can also break, just like surface waves. Internal waves cannot be seen by the human eye, but they can be detected by studying temperature or salinity changes at a given location. So it is the miracles of Quran In Islam. Watch more videos for more updates. Stay Tuned & Subscribed ► http://bit.ly/2zOjdP2 In a popular tourist destination of Isle of Rhe in France there is… a specific set of waves that beautifully display the power of nature The Isle of Rhe is a small island strip just 19 miles long and three miles wide On this island, the waves showcase a strange square shaped pattern like a chessboard The pattern is so mesmerizing that tourists go to the top of a lighthouse to take a look at it These waves are formed because it is the meeting point of… two seas that have different weather patterns While these waves are absolutely stunning to look at, they can be incredibly dangerous Luckily, the weather doesn’t affect the ocean into creating the cross sea all of the time Hence, the waters of the Isle are deemed relatively safe for tourists Enjoy and Stay Connected with us!! ►Subscribe us on Youtube: http://bit.ly/2zOjdP2 ► Like us on Facebook: http://bit.ly/2zO1JSS ► Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/viralmojo ► Website: https://mojotv.com/
