Walter Thompson (JWT) strategic brand advertising agency enlisted ALT TERRAIN to produce their Listerine 'Bring Out the Bold' experiential marketing activation event in New York City. The event brought to life a JWT consumer research study that found that Listerine users live bolder, with more vibrant, active lives. Held on the north side of Union Square Park in Manhattan, the event encompassed 5 Listerine 'The Study of Bold' participatory stages with experiential activities ranging from beatboxing to basketball to karaoke. An additional 'The Study of Bold' Listerine-branded mouthwash station was installed for the public to sample throughout the event. The campaign was the marketing extension of mainline communication “Change Karo, Save Karo”. There were 6 cities targeted for the campaign- Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. We used general consumer interest; a simulation based video game as a platform for consumer engagement for the mall activation. The key consideration to frame the video game is application of Philips LED light, electricity bill plus look and feel of a typical Indian house. The engagement through video game helped consumer to visualize and experience the significant reduction in electricity bill. It eventually helped in successfully placing the brand communication in the consumer mind space. It was a two day event. The campaign witnessed an increase in footfall on the second day of the campaign. More than 4500 experienced the campaign impact throughout the 6 cities. Approximately 2075 people played the Change Karo, Save Karo Game.
