12 Most POISONOUS Fish In The World

11:19
The Puffer Fish or the Box Jellyfish are among the most poisonous fish in the world. Let's take a look and see how to stay safe! SUBSCRIBE for the latest videos: https://goo.gl/7xzjzR Don't forget to CHECK OUT our latest upload: https://goo.gl/LUB8Xw 10. Stingray At number 10, we have the stingray which, just like its name, is notoriously known for stinging its potential harmers. The Stingray has stingers in its tail that have poisonous glands on their underside that can cause swelling with pain and bacterial infection on human victims. These stingers can grow to a maximum length of 35 cm only, but are dangerous enough for divers and bathers in areas where they breed. This fish type is however not known for any fatalities. It feeds on crustaceans and other small fish and mainly settles at the sea bottom when feeding. Stingrays are mostly found in tropical and subtropical coasts and are not known to attack humans unless provoked 9. Weever Fish After the stingray, the Weever fish follows at 37cm as number 9 in our list. Well, pretty small this one, you may say, but the weever is one of the most poisonous fish you’ll probably come across if you are not lucky and its effects on your body won’t be pleasing. This type of fish is mainly found in the Mediterranean, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Atlantic coasts of some European countries. It mostly attacks by biting the feet or hands of human victims when bathing in shallow waters. Their bites are characterized by itching and swelling, and these are just but the most pronounced of all the symptoms caused by these fish. Other symptoms include lightheadedness and tremors. 8. Clown Fish Moving on to number 8 we have the clownfish which is basically a small fish that can grow up to about 15-16 cm in length. They are mainly found warm places like in the Indian Ocean and are omnivores in nature. This genre of fish feeds on zooplanktons mainly and can survive in the most poisonous and toxic of environments. Getting to their environment presents one with a 7. Scorpion Fish The scorpion fish is not an exemption and comes at number 7 in our countdown with so much to contribute in this list. First of all, this fish contains spines that are covered in mucus toxins that inflict a lot of pain to human victims who are unlucky enough to have an encounter with them and to certain animals This type of fish is known for its tactical hunting techniques where it first blends with the environment then pounces on the unsuspecting prey so fast, swallowing it whole. It mainly hunts at night and is known to feed on small fish and crustaceans in the reefs. 6. Giant Moray The Giant Moray is a type of eel that can grow up to 3 meters in size and weigh up to 30 kg in weight, and hence its name. Coming at number 6, the Giant Moray is a very poisonous fish if consumed and can cause serious illness to the victim or sometimes even . 5. Yellow Boxfish The yellow boxfish comes at number five and is of course a force to be reckoned with under the waters. Its suggestive name indeed shows that it has a box-shape and a bright yellow color, but during its glory days. This color fades with age and an old boxfish can be blue-greyish, all the bright yellow having vanished almost entirely. 4. Lionfish At number four is the deadly lionfish, mostly found in the Indian and west pacific waters and is definitely one of the top four most poisonous fish in the world. The lionfish weighs about 0.025-1.3 kg and its length varies from 5 cm-45 cm. These species, just like the clownfish are known to be very attractive and mostly lure their prey, like the clownfish, to their snares and get food. 3. Puffer Fish Mainly found in the warm waters of the tropics, the puffer fish is undisputedly a top three as one of the world’s most poisonous fish. This fish can grow up to 90 - 100 cm in length and inflates with air and water when provoked. Despite their highly toxic nature, the puffer fish are also eaten in some parts of Japan China and Korea where chefs eliminate the poisonous parts serving the rest of the fish as a delicacy! 2. Stonefish It is indeed one of the most dangerous fish you will in encounter in the Indo-pacific. Coming at number two, the stone fish is known to sting swimmers who sometimes step on them obliviously, as this type tends to camouflage with the environment and look just like a normal stone in the sea. These species can grow to a length of 30-40 cm and weigh up to 2 kgs. They are very fast in attacking their prey and use their camouflaging skills in launching the attacks to their unaware targets. 1. Box Jellyfish And finally, at the very top of our list, comes this sea monster, the box jellyfish, which is not a threat because of its size really, but its highly poisonous nature. It is undisputedly the most poisonous fish in the water.

Flying Fish Picked Off From Above And Below | The Hunt | BBC Earth

Flying fish can make powerful, self-propelled leaps out of water into air, where their long, wing-like fins enable gliding flight for considerable distances. It appears these Flying Fish are in a no win situation, picked off above the surface by Frigatebird's and devoured underwater by the Dorado. Massive 1000lb Tiger Shark caught while Bottom Fishing in the Bahamas - 4K

10:09
While I was bottom fishing in the Bahamas, I hooked a massive tiger shark on my Shimano Tiagra 130. We estimated the size of this tiger shark to be 14ft in length and weigh around 1000lbs. I was fishing out of Old Bahama Bay Resort in the Bahamas. We started the day deep dropping directly out front of Old Bahama Bay Resort. We caught a yelloweye snapper on our electric reel, then we switched gears and traveled north to go wahoo fishing. The ocean was very rough, too rough for wahoo, so we decided to head into the shallow water and try bottom fishing. I hooked a reef shark while bottom fishing and out of nowhere a massive tiger shark swims to the boat and eats the reef shark on the end of my line. It was unbelievable! ▼ Old Bahama Bay: • Website → http://bit.ly/old-bahama-bay • Follow on Instagram → @oldbahamabay • Follow on Twitter → http://bit.ly/OBB-twitter • Like on Facebook → http://bit.ly/OBB-facebook ▼ Book a Fishing adventure at Old Bahama Bay: http://bit.ly/old-bahama-bay ▼ Huge thanks to Boaters Exchange for providing us with a boat: http://bit.ly/boaters-exchange ▼ To learn more about the species of fish caught in this video, click the links below: • Tiger Shark → http://bit.ly/tiger-shark-info • Rainbow Runner → http://bit.ly/rainbow-runner-info • Yellow Eye Snapper → http://bit.ly/yelloweye-snapper-info ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ABOUT BLACKTIPH ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ BlacktipH Fishing brings you some of the most exciting fishing videos on the web. BIGGEST Sea Creatures Around The World!

10:56
Check out the biggest sea creatures around the world! This top 10 list of largest ocean animals on earth features some crazy monsters lurking in the deep sea! Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "Most TERRIFYING Sea Monsters Ever!" video here: https://youtu.be/B9aPB6KB504 Watch our "CREEPY Fish From The Deep Sea!" video here: https://youtu.be/IjbRmTvO1_g Watch our "Most MYSTERIOUS Ocean Facts!" video here: https://youtu.be/BzrlpgRVPQg 10.) Fin Whale The fin whale is the second largest creature on Earth after the blue whale. It has been severely affected by commercial whaling and now it is rare to see one. If you have seen one, consider yourself lucky! They can grow as long as 89 feet (27 m) in length and can weigh between 40 to 80 tons! The maximum ever recorded weighed in at 114 tons!! They can live to be over 100 years old if left alone. The fin whale’s body is built for speed and it can even go faster than the fastest ocean steamship. It’s capable of speeds of up to 37 km/h but can go short bursts of even 47 km/h, earning it the nickname “greyhound of the sea”. Fin Whales have a very unique coloring with the right underside of their jaw, right lip, and the right side of their baleen being a yellowish-white, while the left-side is gray, making them look asymmetrical. Fun fact, fin whales and blue whales make the lowest frequency sounds of any animals. When they were first recorded by submarines, scientists thought they were tectonic plates grinding. Kind of makes you wonder about what is causing other mysterious ocean sounds! 9.) Portuguese Man of War While this is often considered a jellyfish, the Portuguese man-of-war is actually not an “it” but a “they”! It is made up of a colony of organisms called polyps that work together known as a siphonophore. While the tentacles can extend 165 feet (50 m), the average is about 30 feet (9 m) long. Still nothing to scoff at!! Also known as “the floating terror”, their body is between 5 inches to a foot wide (13 cm- 130 cm). They are usually found in groups of about a thousand or more, and have no independent means of movement. They either drift on the currents or catch the wind, so even though you should be super careful of jellyfish, they aren’t ever out to get you on purpose! The tentacles on a man-of-war are extremely venomous and very painful if you get stung but they are rarely deadly. The venom is typically used to paralyze their prey, such as small fish and other smaller creatures. Also keep in mind that a man-of-war does not need to be alive in order to give off a powerful sting, even if it has washed up on shore and looks dead, it can still sting you! The Portuguese man-of-war floats around the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the Indian and Pacific. So keep an eye out if you are swimming around these areas! 8.) Giant Clam The giant clam is the largest living bivalve mollusk on earth. (Bivalve mollusks include clams, oysters, and mussels). Native to the warm waters of Australia's Great Barrier Reef, giant clams are capable of growing an average of 4 feet (1 m) in length and weighing close to 500 pounds (250 kg)! However, some species of clams have been known to grow as long as 6 feet. The large majority of a giant clam’s mass is in its shell, with the soft parts accounting for only approximately 10% of the weight. Giant clams are now endangered because they apparently are also quite delicious and have been hunted for centuries for its healthy protein. The giant clam has one chance to find its perfect home because once it chooses its spot, it stays there for the rest of its life. They can live up to 100 years or more, as long as they are in the wild. Most of the giant clams you see today have been raised in captivity and are really popular in large aquariums. Giant clams achieve their enormous proportions by consuming the sugars and proteins produced by the billions of algae that live in their tissues. This symbiotic relationship protects the algae and they are responsible for the unique coloration. No two giant clams are alike! 7.) Great White Shark According to National Geographic, great white sharks are the largest predatory fish in the world. They grow to an average of 15 feet (4.6 m) in length. However, there have been some who have grown to 20 feet (6 m) in length! In fact, the largest Great White Shark ever recorded in the wild was estimated to be 26 feet long, which is more than half the length of a basketball court. Combine this with a bunch of teeth, and this is why people get so scared. They are known to weigh up to 5,000 pounds (2268 kg). The heaviest Great White Shark ever recorded in the wild was estimated to weigh in at a whopping 7,328 pounds. . Sharks : Scavengers of the Seas - Documentary

49:41
Before being an earthly paradise with enchanting colours, the lagoon of New-Caledonia is above all a paradise for sharks. Usually considered as fierce predators, sharks really are opportunistic scavengers. Scavengers that are not too picky when it comes to their menu: feathers, fins or fur, anything will do. Amongst the most striking scenes which punctuate this documentary filmed for four years in New Caledonia, is the never-seen-before sequence of the planet’s greatest animal, a weakened blue whale, attacked and cleaned up by hordes of sharks from the surface down to the abyss. High quality images and a dramatic backdrop soundtrack plunge us into the shark's world. Most Unusual Fish in the Ocean

10:03
The ocean is home to the most bizarre creatures on earth from the fish with a snake's head to one-eyed freaks of nature! 6- Salp Salp or salpa is a barrel-shaped, planktonic tunicate that moves by contracting and then pumping water through its gelatinous body. The system of jet propulsion used by salp is one of the animal kingdoms most efficient. While pumping water through its body the internal feeding filters allow it to feed on phytoplankton. Salp can be found in equatorial water, temperate and even in cold seas. They can be seen on the surface, singly although usually in long, stringy colonies. They are found in their greatest numbers in the Southern Ocean near to Antarctica. In the deep waters of the Southern Ocean they are known to form enormous swarms and are more abundant than krill. A single salp is between 1 and 10 cm tall and a single creature can asexually produce tens of thousands of individuals which will be released from the parent at a small size. They remain attached to each other in the chain, feeding and growing until the food sources becomes too inadequate to sustain the chain. 5- Lancetfish The lancet fish is a large predatory fish also known as a scale-less lizard due to its appearance. They can grow up to 2m in length although little is known about this fish except that it is found in all the world’s oceans except the Polar Regions. They have been recorded as far north as Greenland and are often caught by vessels fishing for tuna. There are two species of lancetfish, the short snouted and the long snouted. Both species have relatively long and pointed snouts. The short snouted lancetfish has a slightly shorter snout than the other species. The main feature of the lancet fish is its high and long dorsal fin. The dorsal fin contains 41 to 44 rays occupying the greater length of the fish’s back. The fin is twice as high as the fish is deep. The mouth is wide with two or three fang like teeth on each jaw with numerous smaller teeth. There are no scales present on this fish and the fins are very fragile. 4- Cornet fish Cornet fish are also known as flutemouth. There are four species that can be found in the tropical and temperate waters of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. They can be found on soft sea floors such as sand flats, sea grasses and coral reefs. They possess an elongated snout that ends with a mouth containing minute teeth. At the other end of their body is the end of the backbone extending to a forked tail fin. The largest cornet fish can grow to up to 2m in length. The blue spotted cornet fish and the red cornet fish are found in the Oceans of the Atlantic and western Pacific as well as the Mediterranean Sea. The reef cornet fish and deepwater cornet fish are primarily found in the eastern Pacific Ocean. 3- Armored Searobin The armored searobin is also known as the armored gurnard and is found in deep waters of the world’s tropical regions. They are related to the family of searobins in the Triglidae family. They are different from searobins in that they are encased in heavy scales that feature prominent spines. They also have prominent barbells on their chins. They have large pectoral fins which when they are swimming open and close like a birds wings in flight. They are able to glide short distances above the surface of the water, similar to that of a flying fish. They prefer to be in deeper water often down to 200m below the surface. They measure about 30 to 40 cm long, with a solid skull. When caught they make a croaking noise similar to a frog. 2- Mystery Fish This unknown fish was found in a fish market in Japan. It has been researched on several sites but remains without a name. So for this final entry into the unusual fish the question is being asked. Do you know what type of fish this is? Let us know in the comment section below! 1- Fish Snake The fish snake is also known as the snakehead and is a freshwater fish native to Africa and Asia. They are an elongated predator with long dorsal fins, large mouths and shiny teeth. The fish snake is also able to breathe air through its gills allowing them to cover short distances across land. The fish snake is a notorious intentionally released invasive species becoming very successful due in part to having no natural predators in those regions it has been introduced into. Adult fish snakes will eat other fish, frogs and occasionally small mammals such as rats. There are around 40 species of fish snake with the smallest being the dwarf snakehead growing to just 25cm or 10 inches. Most species grow to between 30 and 90 cm (12-35 inches). There are 5 species that reach in excess of 1m (3ft 3in).

Diving in Bali (720p)

54:42
Scuba diving in Bali. This DVD is available at http://www.bubblevision.com/marine-life-DVD.htm Diving in Bali is a document of an extraordinary expedition I made to Indonesia's magical island of Bali in 2006 with Aquamarine Diving, http://www.aquamarinediving.com From Tulamben's awesome USAT Liberty wreck, to the reef manta rays of Nusa Penida, via the fascinating macro marine life of Tulamben and Seraya Secrets, the footage covers the breadth of Bali's fascinating underwater world. The video features 158 species of marine life, and their common and scientific names are available by turning on the captions with the CC button under the video. Viewers can now contribute subtitles for the marine life names in this video in many languages. Find out more at https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6054623. From Tulamben there is footage of the wreck of the USAT Liberty in both day time and night time, including the humphead parrotfish that spend the night there. Also from Tulamben are numerous marine live encounters from dives at the Drop-Off and the Coral Garden. Just around the corner we make a dive at Seraya Secrets, a macro hotspot where I encountered seahorses and nudibranchs. From Padangbai on the east coast of Bali we have footage from The Blue Lagoon and Pura Jepun. From the island of Nusa Penida we have the manta ray cleaning station, Manta Point, and Ped. Full list of dive sites featured in this video: 1. USAT Liberty Shipwreck, Tulamben The USAT Liberty was torpedoed by the Japanese off Lombok and beached at Tulamben in Bali. In 1963 the last eruption of Mount Agung caused the wreck to slide deeper into the sea where she lies today. The USAT Liberty shipwreck makes an excellent dive site. This video features the towering stern, the coral-encrusted gun on the bow, green humphead parrotfish (Bolbometopon muricatum), a Pacific hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata bissa), garden eels, sweetlips and lots of other interesting marine life from the wreck and its surroundings. The USAT Liberty also makes a fantastic night dive. Green humphead parrotfish sleep in the protection of the wreck. Other highlights include a Spanish dancer and a bluespotted ribbontail ray. 2. Coral Garden, Tulamben The Coral Garden at Tulamben lies conveniently right off the middle of the beach. Skunk cleaner shrimps tend to moray eels and groupers at a cleaning station based around a barrel sponge. Also featuring a ribbon eel, ghost pipefish, leaf scorpionfish and trevallies schooling in the shallows. 3. Tulamben Drop-Off Video from the Drop-Off at Tulamben, Bali, featuring a spectacular giant purple knotted sea fan, nudibranchs, a ghost pipefish and a seahorse. Before and after exploring the Drop-Off we spend time in the shallows where we meet Tulamben's famous schools of trevallies. By night the drop-off at Tulamben provides plenty of treats for the visiting diver. This video includes a squat lobster, a cone shell, a dwarf cuttlefish, a hermit crab and various pretty reef fish. 4. Seraya Secrets Seraya Secrets, nearby to Tulamben, is an exellent muck dive known for weird and wonderful critters. Here we encounter some batfish around the artificial reef project in the shallows. A little deeper we find 2 thorny seahorses, catfish, an anemone crab and nudibranchs. 5. Blue Lagoon, Padangbai The Padangbai area on the east coast of Bali provides some fantastic diving. Just north of Padangbai lies the Blue Lagoon. This footage comes from my first ever dive in Indonesia with a video camera and features leaf scorpionfish, cuttelfish, anemonefish, lionfish, shrimps, catfish, nudibranchs, moorish idols and a goby. 6. These are my RECOMMENDATIONS. They work great for ME but you will need to try for yourself and see for yourself! We are fishing on the beaches of Melbourne, Florida, looking for dinner fish to cook up and eat. Good thing we have brought a portable stove so we can do a catch and cook right here on the beach. 10 Creepy Sea Creatures You Didn't Know Existed

04:33
Did you know any of these amazing and scary deep sea creatures? It's hard to believe these bizarre animals exist. Subscribe: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg 'Hatchet Fish' footage by Filmic Art : www.filmicart.com For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Description: There is a vast world below the ocean that we have yet to discover in its entirety. While we seem to know nearly everything about the land, the sea still leaves much to be desired. As you go down into the depths of the ocean, you’ll notice a lot will change. For one, you’ll begin to be immersed in darkness. Second, the pressure will change. So, the creatures that have been discovered deep in the oceanic depths are quite different biologically, and they can be quite terrifying to look at. But once we begin to understand them, we can start to learn more about our existence, and even come closer to curing diseases and solving some of the world’s most complex mysteries. However, the sea creatures that have been discovered recently have shown to be just downright creepy and terrifying. You probably recall the Angler Fish, especially if you’re seen the Disney movie, “Finding Nemo”. If you didn’t realize that this fish is the real deal, get ready for new additions to your nightmares. It wasn’t a work of fiction or some messed up fantasy of some Disney Imagineer. The fish that we see in this video is actually female, and the male is a small weakling, wandering the sea to find a female with her pheromones. The male then attaches itself to the female and becomes a parasite. Every part of the male merges with the female except for the testicles, which the female uses to impregnate herself. Jokes aside, this is quite a fascinating process despite how creepy it is. Similar to the angler fish is the Viper Fish, which has a natural extra attachment that illuminates in the darkness of the sea with the purpose of attracting prey. The blob fish is a creature that you wonder what God was smoking or shooting up when he decided to create the blob fish. This fish has no bones, and literally just hangs out on the ocean floor and hopes that food comes to its mouth. Whether you want to worship the blob fish for its epic level of laziness or wonder how in the world the species is still in existence with such an apathetic demeanor, it’s still creepy to look at. Then we have the goblin shark, which is pretty much like the underwater version of the alien from the movie “Alien” due to its protruding mouth. The goblin shark has a large snout and needle-like teeth that are sharp and deadly. For a completely random sea creature, we have the Christmas Tree Worms, which really look like tiny walking fir trees that come in different colors. The branches or hair-like appendages help them breathe as well as consume phytoplankton. Then we have the sea pig, which looks nothing like the pigs we have on land. But instead the sea pig is a multi-tubed foot sea creature that is closely related to the sea cucumber. It eats by pulling water and absorbing organic food. Quite innovative, even though it looks creepy. For more creepy sea creatures, check out the rest of the video for more. Fish Tornado. A huge school of jack tuna (bigeye trevally) swarm together in this amazing display of courtship. They absolutely dwarf the scuba diver. Octavio Aburto released a photo titled "David and Goliath" which was so astounding many believed it was staged or altered. It's hard to deny this natural wonder, the tornado of fish, after viewing his footage.
