Innovative French photographer Xavier Hubert-Brierre travelled to Gabon with his wife and set up a mirror in several locations in order to capture animals walking by. The results are stunning, with one of the more amusing reactions being from two leopards. One of them takes several looks at the mirror before it is attacked by a second leopard, who calls off the ambush when he too spots Xavier's mirror. 10 Very Weird Looking Animals

05:42
Top 10 of the oddest looking animals on the planet. Cute or creepy? You decide! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Other Videos You Might Like 10 Strangest Addictions Ever: https://youtu.be/4uoii851kts Abnormally Large Animals That Are Actually Real : https://youtu.be/ZRTqNaSjvgM Description: We live in a wide and wonderful world, featuring an impossibly varied assortment of living organisms. According to recent estimates, there are 1,367,555 identified non-insect animal species that live on our planet today. Some of these living things are familiar to us in every day life, whereas some are certainly not. This list is focused on the latter, a group of rare and remarkable fish and animals so unique that you may have to see them to believe that they actually exist. Even as extinction takes its toll on many species of wildlife, explorers worldwide have continued to discover the existence of new ones previously unknown to humankind. Even now, scientists continue discovering new species every year and admit that modern science is not familiar with all existing animals. As we continue to discover new species, we expand our understanding that animals can differ in so many different ways and even creatures that look familiar to us may bear their own unusual characteristics. From tiny armadillos to big-nosed monkeys to jacked dogs to giant crabs, many of these animals carry a degree of familiarity mixed with something new and eye-catching. On the other hand, others are entirely foreign beings that look nothing like any creature you’ve ever seen on land, water or in any corner of this whole wide world. For many of these species, it’s no coincidence that they remain so scarce and unknown. A number of them come from species labeled as ‘threatened’ or ‘endangered’, made rare for their sheer lack of population. Those that are not threatened or endangered typically exist in environments that remain untouched by most humans. Some are native to African countries, some reside in Asia and some live down near the bottom of the ocean floor. The central qualities that set these animals possess are evolutionary and essential to their very existence. The dorsal shell of the Pink Fairy Armadillo provides the tiny creature with a defense against predators, just as the prominent nose of the Proboscis Monkey carries crucial significance as a mating tool. These creatures sometimes offer innate, natural abilities that can even catch the eye of the scientific community, as is the case with the body part-regenerating Axolotl salamanders. So what makes these creatures so strange? Well, all you have to do is look at them. Those on this list range anywhere from undeniably cute to strikingly grotesque, but every single one of them make a distinct impression. They come in all sizes and in a vast array of varying temperaments, but they all share in common a standout quality that makes them unique. Sure, they may all be oddly compelling to look at from afar, but you probably wouldn’t want to venture too close to any of these guys in real life. 10 Unique Animals You Won’t Believe Exist

09:42
10 strange and amazing animals that you have probably never heard of. Nature is truly full of surprises! We live in the twenty-first century, and all continents have already been discovered, all secrets of our planet revealed, all mountain peaks conquered. Just when you think you have seen it all, some new bizarre creature makes an appearance instantly restoring your faith in the impossible! TIMESTAMPS Mangalitsa Pig, a.k.a. “a pig in sheep’s clothing” 0:50 Rhinopithecus or golden snub-nosed monkey 1:33 Emperor tamarin 2:13 Patagonian Mara 3:04 Fluffy cow 3:52 Markhor Goat 4:44 Raccoon dog 5:23 Blue Footed Booby 6:25 Malayan Colugo 7:13 Venezuelan Poodle Moth 8:09 BONUS 8:56 SUMMARY - The birthplace of this curly-haired pig is Hungary where it was discovered in the mid-19th century. Due to the fleece covering this animal, it resembles a sheep, therefore, such a name! - The name of this species is roxellana, and there is a story behind it. It is believed that they were called this way after the supposedly snub-nosed courtesan of Suleiman the Magnificent (a 16th century Sultan of the Ottoman Empire). - They were called like this because of the resemblance of their mustache to that of German Emperor Wilhelm II. - Patagonia Mara is the fourth largest rodent on our planet. There are several interesting facts about them. Females often put offsprings into crèches for safety. - Fluffy cows are looked after by people whose work is to wash, dry and use products to style these animals, so they look as fluffy as they do! It is necessary to maintain them daily, and it will take months of regular grooming until they get this lovely look of kids toys. - If you see a creature which looks as if it’s trying to catch an alien radio signal from space, it’s most likely Markhor Goat. They can grow as long as 6 ft from head to tail! - If you can’t decide if you want to have a dog or a raccoon as a pet, we have just the thing for you - raccoon dog! Despite having raccoon-like markings on their fur, they are not very closely related to the North American raccoon. - Blue Footed Booby are to catch your eye if you ever visit the Galapagos Islands. They can look a bit clumsy and comical on land, but they are excellent at flying and swimming. - Colugo has a large gliding membrane (like a flying squirrel), and they can glide for long distances between trees standing far apart. - Even if the Poodle Moth may look as if it lives in Antarctica with all this fur, in fact, it comes from Venezuela, a tropical country. Its hairs don’t serve for heating. BONUS Cloud Antelope! This species lives in the clouds (that’s why such a name)! Its bright blue fur is the reflection of cloudless blue skies in the area of its habitat. Its diet consists of sun rays and candies... List of Domesticated Animals Chronologically by Date 🙉funny science facts about evolution and zoo

05:30
List of Domesticated Animals Chronologically by Date In order to be considered fully domesticated, most species have undergone significant genetic, behavioural and/or morphological changes from their wild ancestors; while others have been changed very little from their wild ancestors despite hundreds or thousands of years of potential selective breeding. A number of factors determine how quickly any changes may occur in a species, however, there isn't always a desire to improve a species from its wild form. Domestication is a gradual process, i.e., there is no precise moment in the history of a given species when it can be considered to have become fully domesticated. MYSTERIOUS Discoveries Science STILL Can't Explain!

12:30
Check out these mysterious discoveries science still can't explain! This top 10 list of bizarre and unexplained archaeological findings has some weird discoveries we still don't have answers for today! Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "STRANGEST Artifacts Ever Discovered!" video here: https://youtu.be/gG0XGt3jFZA Watch our "SECRETS Casinos DON'T Want You To Find Out!" video here: https://youtu.be/hAoABuvzOZM Watch our "RAREST And Most EXPENSIVE Cars In The World!" video here: https://youtu.be/MtCnWSqqilg 10. The Ulfberht Swords Ulfberht swords were the weapon of choice of the Vikings, along with other tribes around northern Europe. They had a long, double edged blade, and a straight crossbar over the grip. There are only about 170 still known to exist today, each of which dates to between the 9th and 11th centuries! And the cool thing is they have the tell-tale inscription in the blade itself. 9. The Drepanosaurus Whenever a new fossil is found, it gives further clues as to the evolution of animals, and of those that once roamed the earth. Every now and then, though, something is found that makes no sense at all in terms of scientific understanding, and requires a complete re-think of what is taken as fact. This is exactly what’s happening with a little known creature, the Drepanosaurus. 8. Rat Kings The Rat Kings are a rare phenomena from the animal kingdom that is so bizarre, no-one is entirely sure how it happens. You may have seen one before, but if you haven’t- they really are something quite unusual. They have been a part of legend for centuries, and are formed when a number of rats become attached by the tail. 7. The Martian Meteorite In 1984, a meteorite fell to earth, something that in itself is no unusual thing. But this one, known as ALH84001, was found to hold secrets that no-one has been able to explain. The 4.1 billion-year-old rock is thought to have originated on Mars, having been dislodged during a collision, and floated through space until it fell into earth’s atmosphere. Unlike other similar specimens, the surface of this rock had something very unusual- what appeared to be the signs of fossilised bacteria. 6. The Longyou Grottoes The Longyou Grottoes are a series of underground structures near the village of Shiyan Beicun, in the Zhejiang province in China. They are thought to be at least 2000 years old, but scientists and researchers have no idea how they were built, what they were used for, or even who was responsible for them. 5. What was the first dinosaur? Since we first realized that dinosaurs roamed the earth, palaeontologists have been trying to understand the full range of creatures that once lived, with particular interest revolving around which was the first dinosaur to ever live. 4. The Nampa Stone Doll The Nampa figurine looks like any other that has been made by an ancient civilisation. The mystery surrounding this one, though, is how it came to be in the place where it was found. It was discovered in 1889 near the town of Nampa in Idaho. Workers were searching for water, and dug a well, which involved drilling a borehole to 295 feet. 3. The Piri Reis Map Today we take maps for granted. Satellite technology combined with the work of cartographers over the years, plus Google of course, have created incredibly detailed depictions of our planet. All we have to do is use our smartphone! This wasn’t always the way, clearly, and maps from centuries ago were just kind of close approximations based on ship voyages. 2. The Voynich Manuscript The 600 year old Voynich manuscript is often thought of as being the most mysterious book that has ever been written, and still, to this day, scientists aren’t able to explain what’s inside. 1. Dinosaur and Human Footprints The final mystery is one which calls into question the idea that humans weren’t around at the time of the dinosaurs, because their footprints have been found side by side. The discovery was made in the Paluxy river, Texas, where hundreds of dinosaur footprints have been found. Their foot impressions were perfectly preserved by the river bed. Origins Explained is the place to be to find all the answers to your questions, from mysterious events and unsolved mysteries to everything there is to know about the world and its amazing animals!

14 Bizarre Mutated Animals

From a strange giraffe with a neck bent at 90-degree angle to pigs that have been genetically altered to glow bright fluorescent green! Subscribe for new videos weekly! 8. Gemina the Giraffe Gemina was born back in 1986 and was most notably recognized by the bent angle of her neck. The deformity wasn’t present when she was first born and it didn’t surface until she turned 3-years-old. Researchers found that the giraffe’s C3 and C4 vertebrae had fused together at an almost 90-degree angle. Despite this, Gemina led a very normal life with no major health complications. The 12-foot tall giraffe was sadly put to sleep in January of 2008 at the age of 21, which is 6 years longer than the average lifespan for a giraffe. 7. A Two-Headed Grasshopper It’s considered pretty rare to see an insect that is deformed which is why this grasshopper is pretty intriguing. This type of insect belongs to the Orthoptera order. The bug has two heads, each located on opposite ends of the body. This picture was snapped at an old coffee plantation farm that is located in Amaga, the state of Antioquia, Colombia. 6. A Pig with Two Faces When this little piglet was born in a small village called Quanzhou in East China’s Fujian province, it was seen as a miracle by farmers as they see pigs as a symbol of fertility in China. This, plus the fact that the baby pig was born back in 2007, which happened to be the Chinese Year of the Pig. Weighing in at around 1.5 kilograms, the two-faced pork was equipped with 4 eyes and 2 mouths. 5. A Two-Faced Lamb This two-faced lamb here was born in Iceland and gave animal experts around the world quite a shock. The frightening farm animal created a huge surprise in the Olfus area of Southern Iceland when it emerged having two faces. Pall Stefansson, a local veterinarian, stated that two-faced lambs are considered to be very rare and he’s only heard of two previous cases before this one. Unfortunately, the baby lamb had to be put to sleep when it was realized that it could not lift up its head. 4. A Baby Goat The Villalba family were accused of some vicious acts when photographs that were taken by one of their neighbors circulated and began to go viral. The images are of a strange looking animal that has been identified as a baby goat. The goat is quite severely deformed and local residents of the village, located in the province of Salta Argentina, suggest that a member of the Villalba family had relations with a goat that resulted in this frighteningly deformed animal. Olga Villalba states that this is, of course, untrue and that her husband believes this was caused by the excessive use of pesticides. 3. A Two-headed Turtle This two-headed turtle was discovered in Florida living at the Sean Casey's Animal Rescue pet store located in Kensington. Casey, the owner of the store, acquired the turtle from a man who saved the eggs of a mother turtle who was run over by a car. When the turtle took a turn for the worse, the man sought out Casey’s nonprofit organization as they specialize in caring for exotic creatures. Casey managed to nurse the turtle’s strength back and eventually brought it to the store. In most cases, conjoined creatures don’t have the regular life expectancy of their normal counterparts but Casey will never know how long this little one could have lived because it was stolen from the pet shop. 2. A Two-Faced Kitten This tiny gray and white two-faced kitten was born at the Swan Veterinary Clinic located in Perth, Western Australia. Its mother was brought to the clinic after she was having complications with her birthing process. With the help of veterinarian George Huber and nurse Louisa Burgess, they both assisted in delivering three baby kittens. The kitten with the two faces was the only one out of the whole litter that had deformities. It eats from only one mouth and both heads purr at the same time. The chances of a cat being born with this condition are rare, one in a million to be exact. This condition is more common amongst snakes and turtles. 1. A Cow with Two Faces This baby cow named Star was born with having two faces due to a condition known as diprosopus. This condition happens when an embryo only splits half-way, resulting in the two partial faces on the one body. Star belongs to a farmer named Kirk Heldreth in Virginia where she was born with two mouths, tongues, and noses, while also having an eye socket that carries two eyes in it. Ironically, Star was conceived through artificial insemination in order to produce the best possible offspring. This clearly backfired. Her owner states that apart from her deformities, she’s actually pretty healthy and has a “sweet personality”.

20 Strange Cat Behaviors Explained!

10:48
Weirdest cat behaviors explained! These are the top strange cat behaviors and how to understand cats and weird cat behaviors explained! Check out our online store for Tempt channel merchandise! https://teespring.com/stores/tempt-youtube-channel 18. Random sprint - Does your cat run at a super fast speed and bounce off the couch out of nowhere? Don’t worry this is totally normal; cats can run up to 31 miles per hour, they're just getting their exercise in for the day! Most house cats have an extreme amount of energy that gets pent up and needs to be released. If they don’t get regular exercise on their own, they might need some more playful attention to avoid random sprints around the house. 17. Unladylike sitting - Why do people sit in unladylike positions? Well because it’s comfortable of course. Same goes for cats; when they are sprawled out with their legs open, that means they’re simply relaxed, trusting you, and happy. This means they know they are safe so they can relax. 16. Brings you presents- A dead rodent or bug at your feet might not be what you always wanted, but there are lots of theories about why your cat insists on doing this. As a kitten their mother might have brought them back a dead prey, so that’s where they got it from. Paying them more attention when they do this might be encouraging this behavior. Maybe they're being generous and saying thank you for feeding her or maybe sharing a successful hunt with you. This is them sharing what they caught with you as if you were a part of its real cat family. When cats are able to get more food than they need to eat, they might bring back extra kills to other members of the colony, especially kittens and nursing mothers. So your cat might just think you could use some help having enough to eat. Although this is a gross habit from a human’s perspective, don’t punish your cat for doing something that is only natural to them, because they don’t know any better. Instead try keeping them indoors, or put a bell on their collar to make it more difficult for them to catch prey.

STRANGEST Animals That Are Hard To Believe Are REAL!

12:53
Check out the strangest animals that you won't believe are actually real! This top 10 list of bizarre and mysterious creatures features some of the weirdest animal species ever discovered on earth! Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "MYSTERIOUS Creatures Living At The BOTTOM Of The World!" video here: https://youtu.be/Efhjc-Gu508 Watch our "SECRETS Casinos DON'T Want You To Find Out!" video here: https://youtu.be/hAoABuvzOZM Watch our "RAREST And Most EXPENSIVE Cars In The World!" video here: https://youtu.be/MtCnWSqqilg 14. Leafy Seadragon Another creature from ocean that is sure to make waves when you realize it's real, is the Leafy Seadragon. A perfect name for it! When you look at it, it looks like a simple piece of seaweed, yet, it's actually alive. The creature was found off the coast of Australia, and is proof that the ocean still holds many secrets. 13. Angora Rabbits What is there to say? This is a rabbit that has so much fur, you honestly can't tell that it's a rabbit. I bet you were expecting something much different when I mentioned "rabbit" in the title, huh? 12. Pangolin There are a lot of weird creatures out in the world, and some of them look like fusions between other animals. One example of this is the Pangolin, a mammal known to roam the lands of Asia and Africa. It's also one of the most trafficked mammals in the world. 11. Komondor Take a look at this breed of dog. Do you think that this breed was made to look like this? You’d think someone spent hours and hours creating dreadlocks in this dogs fur, but nope! This it the Komondor, and that's exactly how it looks without anyone touching it. 10. Axolotl From the weird to the creepy, I present to you the Axolotl. Yes, it really does look like that in real life, that's why it's on this list. 9. Glass Frogs It's incredible the evolutions and adaptations that animals will go through during their lifecycles on this planet. However, you have to question some of them. While the armor of the Pangolin is understandable, this creature’s evolution is a little mysterious. Here we have a frog...that's see-through. 8. The Dumbo Octopus The name isn't referring to these Octopuses being stupid, far from it. They're called this because they have fins near the top of their heads that resemble flappy ears. Just like Dumbo the elephant from the Disney movie. 7. Saiga Antelope From the depths of the ocean to the vastness of Asia, three countries are home to a very curious breed of antelope. It's called the Saiga Antelope, and it’s a pretty strange creature. 6. Pacu Fish Piranha are one of the most dangerous fish in the world, and have sometimes even been considered some of the most dangerous animals in the world. But their cousins, for lack of a better term, are definitely one of the strangest animals in the world. They're called the Pacu fish, and they'll give you nightmares for different reasons. 5. The Mary River Turtle This one not only looks strange, it acts strange. This is the Mary River Turtle. It can be found in Queensland, Australia, and yes, it has green, spiky hair. Why does it have green hair? No idea, but you have to admit it looks kinda cool, right?? 4. Gharial Let's talk now about one of the strangest and rarest animals in the world, from a family that you wouldn't expect to see on this list...a crocodile. Specifically the Gharial. 3. The Sun Bear Another type of animal you might not have expected to see on this list is a bear. Yet, there is one bear that most definitely qualifies, the Sun Bear. 2. Sphynx Cat I hate to break it to you but Sphynx cats didn’t originally come from Egypt. These cats are born hairless due to a genetic mutation and started getting bred on purpose in the 1970’s. 1. Platypus Ah, the Platypus, or as some call it "nature's reject". Why? Because this animal literally looks like it was sewn together by a mad scientist. Or as one cartoon depicted, God running out of ideas and just throwing something together. In my opinion, it's extremely cute! Origins Explained is the place to be to find all the answers to your questions, from mysterious events and unsolved mysteries to everything there is to know about the world and its amazing animals!

Animal Cell | #aumsum

09:45
Animal Cell. The Animal cell is surrounded by a semi-permeable cell membrane. The cell membrane allows only specific materials to move in and out of the cell. The different parts of the cell are called organelles. Nucleus, Mitochondria, Endoplasmic Reticulum, Golgi Apparatus, Lysosomes. The cytoplasm is a jelly like substance. Cytoplasm provides a surface for all the organelles in the animal cell. Nucleus being the control center of cell decides and controls most of the functions going on in the cell. Mitochondria are the sites for cellular respiration in cells. They are the powerhouses of the cell because they release energy rich compounds called ATP. ATP is needed for the functioning, growth and maintenance of the body. Let us now study about the endoplasmic reticulum. The endoplasmic reticulum is a large network of membrane bound sheets. They help in transporting and exchanging materials between the various regions of the cytoplasm. The endoplasmic reticulum is of two types: The smooth endoplasmic reticulum The rough endoplasmic reticulum. The smooth endoplasmic reticulum helps in the formation of lipids. Lipids are essential components of the cell membrane. The rough endoplasmic reticulum has ribosomes. Ribosomes help in building proteins in the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The protein is processed inside the golgi apparatus. The proteins are packaged and sent outside. The golgi apparatus is involved in the formation of lysosomes. The lysosomes contain powerful digestive enzymes that help in cell digestion. When the cell is damaged, the lysosome bursts. After the lysosome bursts, digestive enzymes get released. The digestive enzymes digest their own cell. Hence, lysosomes are called suicide bags of the cell.

Prepare to be astounded by the resilience, physical abilities, and sheer brilliance of these magnificent creatures. https://twitter.com/list25 https://www.facebook.com/list25 http://list25.com Check out the text version too - http://list25.com/25-amazing-facts-you-didnt-know-about-animals/ Here's a preview: Houseflies don't allow their short lifespans (14 days) to hinder their musical abilities. They always hum in the key of F. Ostriches can run faster than horses, and the male ostriches can roar like lions. Bats are the only mammals that can fly. Kangaroos use their tails for balance, so if you lift a kangaroo's tail off the ground, it can't hop. On average, there are 50,000 spiders per acre in green areas. Tigers not only have stripes on their fur, they also have them on their skin. No two tigers ever have the same stripes. To escape the grip of a crocodile's jaw, push your thumb into its eyeball -- It will let you go instantly. Fleas can jump up to 200 times their height. This is equivalent to a man jumping the Empire State Building in New York. A cat has 32 muscles in each ear. Elephants can smell water up to 3 miles away. They are also one of the three mammals that undergo menopause -- the other two being humpback whales and human females. Koala bears almost exclusively eat only eucalyptus leaves and nothing else. Because beavers' teeth never stop growing, they must constantly gnaw on objects to keep them at a manageable length. Their teeth would eventually grow into their brain if they didn't maintain them. Beware an ant uprising! There are one million ants for every human in the world. These resilient creatures also never sleep and do not have lungs. Oysters can change gender depending on which is best for mating. Butterflies have two compound eyes consisting of thousands of lenses, yet they can only see the colors red, green and yellow. A snail can grow back a new eye if it loses one. You can tell a turtle's gender by the noise it makes. Males grunt and females hiss. Giraffes have no vocal cords and their tongues are blue-black in color. Millions of trees are accidentally planted by squirrels that bury nuts and then forget where they hid them. Humpback whales create the loudest sound of any living creature. Dogs' nose prints are as unique as human fingerprints and can be used to identify them. The slowest fish is the seahorse, which moves along at about 0.01 mph. Pigs communicate constantly with one another; more than 20 vocalizations have been identified that pigs use in different situations, from wooing mates to saying, "I'm hungry!" Contrary to popular belief, French poodles actually originated in Germany. Hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly backwards and their wings can beat at up to 80 times per second.
