Again, I came to the United States not because I wanted to, but I had to.
I'll be honest, my mother came to the United States to support our family. My father abandoned us, my mother got sick of Parkinson's disease and our livelihood started to go down.
My mother decided to go to the United States for better opportunity, she said. 4 years after, she asked to come to support and help her.
I never had a desire to come to the United States. Never in my Philippine life I imagined myself residing and working overseas.
But like I said in this film, there are things that we have to sacrifice, even if it's our own happiness.
I was really sad and missing my home country so much. I wanted to go back but I couldn't because of the progressing disease of my mother.
I was an undocumented Immigrant for the first 3 years until I met my first wife. She was a Filipina from Iloilo city, same as my age.
In 3 years as an undocumented Immigrant, I worked in nursing and home care facilities. Yes, I paid taxes folks!
My Filipina wife filed a family petition for me to have a U.S. green card.
When I became a U.S. citizen, I filed a family petition right away for my mother to have a legal status. Yes folks, my mother was an undocumented Immigrant. But just like I, she paid her taxes even though she was undocumented.
My wife and I's marriage turned sour and ended up in divorce.
I went back to the Philippines and started courting again my college girlfriend Rhea.
Rhea didn't want to go to the United States. What she wanted is to open our own business in Manila.
I told her, at the moment it's not an option because I have to go back to the United States for my mother.
Rhea agreed and I brought her to the United States.
We started to open retail stores, followed by an employment agency.
Our retail stores went slow and I had to close them while my employment agency started to pick-up momentum.
I created a YouTube channel (not this channel), that channel became popular and became a tool for my wife and I to be featured and interviewed by Yahoo news, ABC Good Morning America, NBC Today Show, Daily News, AOL news and RTL Germany.
The burden of generating higher income:
TAX! The more money I make, the more piece of pie they want!
The 39.60% maximum tax bracket is not true. This year, the IRS took almost 41% of my income! The more money you make, the hungrier they become folks.
Add the 10% out of the 41% that you paid to the IRS goes to the State. Plus, self employment tax, city tax, franchise board tax, Obamacare tax, etc...!
I pay too much taxes and I get nothing in return!
In Canada and most countries in Europe, they pay higher taxes but at least they get a universal healthcare and free College education for all.
Healthcare in the United States is a pure gigantic profitable business!
I support Senator Bernie Sander's Medicare for all proposal.
Folks, healthcare must be considered as a human right and not a privilege.
What I see in the United States:
The United States is not a human country but a floating business.
This country is run by gigantic corporations, using the corrupt politicians to protect their businesses.
Everything in this country is pure business! Sure, there are great opportunities here, but at what cost? Capitalism only works for the people who benefit out of it. But how about the poor? How about the oppressed and the exploited by Capitalism? Who speaks on their behalf?
Capitalism only works for the people on the top, the poor from below are the tools for Capitalism to work.
Am I a hypocrite?:
Call me a hypocrite if I am poor and keep bashing Capitalism because I never had this and that (material stuff). Call me a hypocrite because I might just be jealous. But, that's not the case folks.
Yes, I had this and that. I run my own business and make more money than the average U.S. citizens.
But what does money mean to you? How much the material things worth to you? Does money make you happy? Does status in life makes you proud?
Material things, money and status mean nothing to me folks.
My eyes are wide open of the truth and lies. I see how unfair the world is. I see huge inequality and injustices. I smell the odor of those corrupt politicians.
What is the meaning of life to you my friend?
Am I happy living in the United States:
No! I never felt, don't feel and would never feel a genuine happiness.
Deep in my heart, I want to go back to my motherland.
In my heart, I just want to live a simple life.
But it's easier said than done. It's harder for me to leave the United States now because my livelihood is already here. Also like I said in this film, the IRS keeps auditing me so I have to stay until my case is closed.
Is there Racism in the United States?:
Oh absolutely! I experienced racial profiling and discrimination myself. Racism in this country exists folks and much very alive!
