Amazing Turkish Food and Attractions in Istanbul - Istanbul, Turkey, Travel Guide!

29:49
►Subscribe: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Watch the full playlist: https://goo.gl/fjaKHn ►Camera I use: http://amzn.to/2dEL3hv Day 9: Istanbul, Turkey - This was a day of sightseeing at some of the most famous attractions in Istanbul that I’ve wanted to visit my entire life including the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. And the read highlight of the day for me was the incredible Turkish food, especially the kebabs. Museum Pass Istanbul - 85 TRY ($28.88) - Before getting started with the things we did in this video, I purchased a Museum Pass for Istanbul, which granted me access to a few of the attractions without having to stand in line. I’m not sure if I really saved much money, but it did save time. 2:00 Sultan Ahmet Camii (Blue Mosque) - Our first stop of the day in this attractions in Istanbul video was the Sultan Ahmet Camii, which is commonly known as the Blue Mosque due to its blue tiles on the inside. We actually arrived a little too early in the morning, so they were not open yet, so we walked around the Hippodrome of Constantinople for a few minutes. When the Blue Mosque opened, we went inside. Both inside and outside are incredible to see. 5:37 Hagia Sophia - One of the most famous pieces of architecture in all of Istanbul and one of the most famous attractions is Hagia Sophia. It started off as a church, later became a mosque, and now it’s an official museum. After entering, you can walk around the main room, but the highlight of visiting Hagia Sophia for me was walking up to the upper galleries for some amazing views from above. 8:24 Topkapi Palace - Finally, one more of the most famous attractions in Istanbul, and located right in the same area as Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque is Topkapi Palace, which was an Ottoman Palace. You can walk around the gardens and palace structures, which are now galleries. I especially enjoyed the Imperial Harem, which was a section of the palace reserved for women, and the best preserved area of the palace. 11:25 Sehzade Erzurum Cag Kebab (Şehzade Cağ Kebap) - There are many different types of Turkish food, and cag kebab is a type of kebab from Erzurum in Eastern Turkey. According some some men I met while eating the amazing kebabs, this is the best restaurant for cag kebab in all of Istanbul. The type of kebab is made from lamb, and instead of being on a vertical skewer like other types of kebabs, it’s grilled on a horizontal skewer. The meat is cooked with wood fire, and slice off onto smaller skewers to be served. If you get a chance to try cag kebab, it’s an absolutely stunning Turkish food. The entire meal was delicious, but the best part was meeting the owner of Sehzade Erzurum Cag Kebab and eating a slice of the meat right off the roll hot and fresh. Out entire meal cost 85 TL ($28.88). 20:34 Basilica Cistern - 20 TRY ($6.80) - Arter the amazing Turkish food lunch, we headed over to see the Basilica cistern, one of many underground cisterns in Istanbul. It was interesting to see. We then headed to the hotel for a rest, and then went out again for dinner. 23:27 Dinner at Balkan Lokantasi - Beşiktaş is a neighborhood in Istanbul and we walked over to a restaurant for dinner in that neighborhood called Balkan Lokantasi. It was an extremely busy restaurant serving all sorts of different Turkish food in a cafeteria like style. You walk through the line, choose whatever dishes you want, and pay for what you get. You can eat a serious feast for a pretty good price. I got a little confused and didn’t really know what I was doing, so ended up ordering what was way too much food. But that’s alright, it was all really delicious. It was fantastic day of Turkish food and visiting some attractions in Istanbul that I had wanted to visit my entire life. Istanbul Turkey - The Main Spots to see in the Center Travel Guide

08:32
Istanbul is an old historic city dating back three hundred thousand years. The only city in the world spanning into two continents. This is a place that's filled with color and so many flavors. The variety of foods and delicacies are among the main attractions. A very crowded area with many tourists and peddlers skimming of the travelers with quick treats and countless souvenirs. It's a place that safe to travel and walk about admiring the old historic sites as long as you respect their customs of dress and behavior. The public transportation services from the airport to the center is easy and comfortable. I spent one day here and the video takes you along a walking tour of the center main spots to see. Unfortunately they are not very friendly to tourists hours since I was not able to enter the Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace as my time ran out. Even though there was plenty of light the Bazaar closes at 7pm which was very disappointing. Near the main sites local youths are very friendly to speak with tourists and offer information, in hopes of possibly being hired as a tour guide. The one thing I did not appreciate was being awakened by a screeching loudspeaker in the middle of the night by their prayer call. But that's the charm of Istanbul. Surviving here on a $20/day meal budget is not difficult as long as you stay away from the centers busy tourist area's. The people are very friendly and helpful, and English was not a problem here. The Ultimate Istanbul Turkish Food Tour - JUICY Kokoreç, Balık Ekmek (Fish Sandwich), and Lahmacun!

32:28
►Check out my Istanbul Travel Guide: http://bit.ly/Istanbul-Guide ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Camera I use: http://bit.ly/2d2TA0G Day 10: Istanbul, Turkey - This was one of the best days of eating Turkish food in Istanbul that I had during my visit, and this video is an Istanbul food tour. We started with Turkish breakfast, followed by the famous fish bread sandwich (balik ekmek), followed by kokoreç and midye dolma, and then finally for dinner I ate lahmacun. Although everything was good in this Istanbul food tour, my favorite food of the day was the kokoreç. 00:41 Lades Menemen Restaurant - The first meal on this Turkish food tour was for Turkish breakfast just off Istiklal street. Along with some side dishes, my main order was menemen, which is a type of Turkish egg dish (similar to scrambled eggs) and I got it with Turkish sausage. It came piping hot and bubbling away, and it was extraordinarily delicious, especially with all the other sides. Total price - 34 TL ($11.43) for everything 4:56 Galata Tower - 25 TL ($8.40) per person - On this food tour, we still had to do a little bit of sightseeing, so on our way to the next restaurant, we stopped off at the Galata Tower for an amazing full 360 view of Istanbul. We got there right as they opened, so it was nice and quiet. Galata Bridge, Eminönü, Balık Ekmek - Perhaps one of the most well known Istanbul street foods is, balık ekmek, a fish bread sandwich. Located in Eminönü, and along the water's edge, you’ll find a handful of boats that grill up pieces of mackerel, stuff them into bread, and serve them with lemon juice. You can sit along the pier, and enjoy your fish bread sandwich, and not only is it good, but the atmosphere is also fantastic. Balik Ekmek (fish sandwich) - 8 TL ($2.69) 10:56 Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar) - If I could choose one of my favorite things to do in Istanbul, it would be exploring the Spice Bazaar which is also known as the Egyptian Bazaar. You’ll find an incredible amount of spices and herbs and flavoring ingredients from around the world, packed into the market. After walking around for a while, Ying and I decided to buy some cherries, and the friendly vendor also gave us some samples of fruit as well. Cherries - 1 kg. for 12 TL ($4.03) 13:35 Süleymaniye Mosque - We were in the general area, so we stopped in at Süleymaniye Mosque, an iconic mosque in Istanbul that dominates the skyline. 15:21 Kral Kokoreç - The next food on this Istanbul food tour is kokoreç, and it’s one of the Turkish foods I was most looking forward to eating in Istanbul. Kral Kokoreç is an amazing, sort of street food stall in Istanbul. Kokoreç is a delicacy of organs wrapped in lamb intestines and grilled. I ordered a plate of it to go alongside some bread and it was spectacular. It was one of the best Turkish food meals I had, I loved it. They also sold midye dolma, mussels with rice and spices, and they were also wonderful. Total price - 29 TL ($9.71) - for everything. 22:42 Grand Bazaar - After that amazing meal, we walked over to the Grand Bazaar, which is not only one of the oldest covered markets in Istanbul, but one of the oldest covered shopping areas in the world. It was pretty amazing to walk around, and admire the shops and the actual structure of the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. I think the tea was 1 TL ($0.34). 25:47 Fıstık Kebap Lahmacun - To complete this Istanbul food tour, our final stop for dinner was at a restaurant called Fıstık Kebap Lahmacun (thanks to Culinary Backstreets for the recommendation: http://culinarybackstreets.com/cities-category/istanbul/2013/top-3-lahmacun/) to eat lahmacun. At first we started off with aryan and kibbeh, before proceeding onto the lahmacun, pide, and the special fistik kebap. Everything was delicious, but I think I really liked the simplicity and lightness of the lahmacun the best. Total price - 58 TL ($19.49). And that completes this video of the ultimate Turkish food tour of Istanbul, it was an amazing day of food! Mark previously owned a leasing company and first travel overseas was on a company fishing trip to the Amazon River in Brazil. After the fishing trip he stayed and met some local ladies and what he experienced overseas changed his expectations for love, passion, and beauty forever. Soon after he began to date overseas with the intention of finding a life partner; he succeeded and married Anna Astafieva, from Nikolaev Ukraine. But he wasn’t the only one. Several friends found their life partners overseas and encouraged him to write a book about their discovery. Since that first book was published in 2009 “Mastering the Adventure of International Dating” (Amazon.com: http://a.co/8ZZooe2) he and Anna have appeared on Dr. Phil, The TODAY Show, Women’s Entertainment Network, and conducted over 50 radio interviews. Mark and Anna now host groups of men on “Quest Tours” with their company, Dream Connections, with an 80% success rate. Anna grew up in the town of Nikolaev, Ukraine, as Anna Astafieva. She has four generations of family there and openly declares that she would not have left if she could have found a faithful, family oriented man in her home town. She graduated high school at age 16 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in fashion. She worked and managed a crew at a local clothing factory and was asked to participate as a runway model for the company once or twice a month. Her boss at the factory was the one who suggested she might want to sign up with the ‘marriage agency’. She took her bosses’ advice and the rest is history. Mark and Anna now work together to help good men from the West meet sincere women from Ukraine, Colombia, and Thailand – and aggressively combat the mail order bride stereotype myths. In the years that followed their introduction Mark wrote a book and they have both been featured on cable TV shows, The TODAY Show with Matt Lauer, and more. When they first considered hosting their own introduction events, they took a hard look at the way things were being done and saw the need for something more authentic. Something that was truly focused on helping good men find a spouse and eliminating the bad eggs from both sides. Dream Connections is the realization of that dream. "It has been very rewarding to see that our ideas have proven to work. Men who go on our tours are finding themselves connecting deeply with sincere women in Ukraine", Mark said. "We know that these trips cost money and take time away from careers. It just makes sense to create a system that maximizes that opportunity to make lasting connections. Our clients do not see this as a vacation, but a quest to find their queen!"

Istanbul Street Food - DELICIOUS Turkish Kofte and Breakfast on Turkish Airlines!

25:50
►Check out my Istanbul travel food guide: https://goo.gl/WVJqhb ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Camera I use: http://amzn.to/2dEL3hv (affiliate link) Day 8: Istanbul, Turkey - On Day 8, we flew on Turkish Airlines and from Muscat to Istanbul. The flight on Turkish Airlines was fantastic, and I had my first ever Turkish breakfast while in the sky. We then checked into The Ritz-Carlton hotel, and had some amazing Istanbul street food kofte for lunch. Istanbul is a city that I’ve always wanted to visit, and I can’t wait to explore and eat more Turkish food! 0:15 Turkish Breakfast on Turkish Airlines - To begin this day and video my wife and I were on a flight with Turkish Airlines (member of Star Alliance) from Muscat, Oman to Istanbul, Turkey. Turkish Airlines is an amazing airlines, and on business class they served us Turkish breakfast since we happen to fly into Istanbul early in the morning. Bread, olives, cheese, honey, and then the main dish included eggs and vegetables. Great flight with Turkish Airlines! 2:42 Istanbul Atatürk Airport - We arrived to Istanbul very early in the morning and after grabbing our bag, we found the bus outside the terminal to go to Taksim Square. The bus cost 11 TL ($3.73) per person. 4:57 The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul - Marriott Hotels sponsored my stay in Istanbul, and it was an honor to have the opportunity to stay at the The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul, which is located just a 5 minute walk from Taksim Square, with a fantastic view of the Bosphorus. We got all checked in, and the room was fantastic. 7:44 Istanbul Street Food - Kofte Sandwich Stall - After taking a little rest in the hotel and drinking some coffee, Ying and I were both pretty hungry. There’s a small Istanbul street food stall that serves amazing grilled kofte, just down the street from The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul, and that’s exactly where we headed, right at lunch time. Before ever arriving I could smell the aroma of the meat on the grill and then I could see the colorful display of peppers and parsley surrounding the grill as well. I ordered a kofte sandwich, and after toasting the bread, he added in a bunch of little meat kofte patties, some tomatoes and onions and peppers, seasoned with some spices and chili powder and handed it to me. For 10 TL ($3.40) for sandwich and drink, this was about as good as it could possibly get for Istanbul street food! Wow it was so good. 12:17 Taksim Square and Turkish Coffee at Mandabatmaz (Istiklal Street) - After that amazing kofte sandwich, we continued walking through Taksim Square, one of the most famous landmarks of Istanbul and then on to the walking Istiklal street. The highlight for me was stopping at Mandabatmaz for a cup of the most amazing Turkish coffee I’ve ever had. Turkish coffee - 5 TL ($1.70). 17:04 Fish and Meat House - At this point Ying and I were starting to get really sleepy - we hadn’t really slept the night before. So we stopped for an early dinner at Fish and Meat House to have some grilled fish. I had the grilled sea bream, which was simple and plain but excellently fresh and cooked perfectly. The salad was also delicious. Total price for everything - 74 TL ($25.12). Disclaimer and Thank You: This trip was made possible by Star Alliance and their Round The World tickets (http://www.staralliance.com/en/round-the-world) who sponsored my business class flights. The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul sponsored my stay in Istanbul. Thank you to Star Alliance, Marriott Hotels, and Turkish Airlines for making this trip happen. XCity: Love 2.0? Magazines cash in online dating sites

03:13
Not since the emergence of speed dating has there been such a stir on the singleton scene. From one-off dalliances to long-term partners, online dating is proving to be a successful route to romance and is taking the world of unattached Britons by storm. XCity took to the streets of London to find out what people think about online dating. One city professional said that London is "the city of loneliness" and for this reason she would try online dating. Others described how they met through social media music site Myspace -- and are now married. Not all dates result in marriage though. There is still some margin for error, and as one online dater pointed out, there "definitely are some sleazy people online". Dating websites include profile pictures and lists of interests, which provide an easy way to assess compatibility, but how can users find out about a potential partner's political views, cultural interests or reading habits (and make sure they avoid the sleazebags)? It's not just dedicated dating sites such as Match Affinity and Mysinglefriend.com that are in the business of online matchmaking -- magazines and newspapers are staking a claim in some of the success stories too. Sites such as Guardian Soulmates bring people together who believe that what they read says something about them. Watch XCity's video to find out the opinions of both experienced and would-be internet daters and read more about how media companies are setting up their own dating sites in XCity 2012, out now.

How to spot an online dating scam artist part 2

04:04
Here is another example of a potential onine dating scam artist. OK Cupid's quick match function, available as an app on smartphones, must be approached with extreme caution. These characters cannot wait to speak to you, take your money, and ruin your credit and reputation. Who are perpetuating these scams? Remember, they originate from places such as Nigeria and Turkey. Terror organizations such as Boka Haram and ISIS exist there and use these types of tactics to fund their organizations. If you are Christian, these are people who would not hesitate to kill you if they met you face to face. By denying these characters you not only save your money but you may be saving the life of a Christian man or woman.

Ship crashes into Million Dollar Waterfront Mansion in Istanbul's Bosphorus Caught on Cameras !

03:35
Ship crashes into waterfront mansion in Istanbul after rudder gets stuck. The Bosphorus Strait has been closed to transit traffic after a 225-meter-long Malta-flagged bulk carrier crashed into a historic waterfront mansion in the Anadolu Hisarı area on Saturday after its rudder got stuck, causing substantial damage. The accident happened after the ship's rudder failed and it smashed into the Hekimbaşı Salih Efendi mansion around 4 p.m. The mansion was built in the 18th century and has been used to host weddings and concerts, according to the mansion's website The vessel named Vitaspirit was heading to Ukraine from Egypt. No injuries or environmental threats have been reported from the accident. The scene of the accident was under the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge on Istanbul's Asian side, the coast of which is dotted with posh mansions dating back to Ottoman times. Accidents involving ships crashing into those mansions are rare, with vessels escaping the impact at the last minute occasionally. Turkey's straits are among the most at-risk waterways in the world, according to experts. Over 50,000 vessels, including tankers carrying highly flammable oil, pass through the Bosporus, an S-shaped channel with sharp turns and changing currents that pose challenges for vessels and sailors every year. The deadliest accident was when a Romanian tanker and a Greek freighter collided and exploded in November 1979, killing 42 crew members aboard the Romanian tanker. The last major accident in the strait was in 2003 when a Georgian-flagged vessel ran aground, resulting in a spill of 480 tons of oil.

Lamb Chops and Safety Tips during the Attempted Coup in Istanbul

►Is it safe to travel to Istanbul? Read my perspective here: http://bit.ly/Istanbul-Guide ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Watch the full Istanbul playlist: http://bit.ly/2cyLGc2 This took place on 15 July 2016. (Day 11 of the Round the World for Food Trip): Today was a little bit different. Just the day before the attempted coup, my wife and I had had the most amazing Istanbul food tour (watch that video here: http://bit.ly/2dO4sSx), wandering around the city, visiting the Grand Bazaar, meeting dozens of friendly people and having fantastic conversations and delicious Turkish food. And in fact, on the night of the 15th, before the attempted Turkish coup d'état took place, we ate dinner at a restaurant just a stone's throw from the Bosphorus Bridge (where many of the events of the coup unfolded in Istanbul). Due to the situation of the Turkish coup attempt and not really knowing what all was going on in Istanbul, my wife and I made the decision to just camp out in the hotel for the whole day. We were grateful to have a safe place to stay. My heart and thoughts go out to all the people of Turkey, and Istanbul is truly one of the most breathtaking city, in terms of history, culture, people, and food, that I’ve ever visited, and my opinions have not changed. Again, you can read my full thoughts about safety traveling to Turkey on my Istanbul travel guide: http://bit.ly/Istanbul-Guide Stay tuned for Day 12: The immediate day after the failed Turkish coup d'état attempt, my wife and I went out and had another one of the most memorable food days in Istanbul! Nizwa, Date Palm Oasis, and Omani Street Food Mishkak

28:03
►Check out my Muscat Travel Guide: https://goo.gl/bGfsoJ ►Subscribe now: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Watch the full playlist: https://goo.gl/Qyn8mH Day 7: Muscat and Nizwa, Oman - We started off in Muscat, then took a drive to Nizwa to visit the fort, had a delicious Omani food lunch, and visited a date palm oasis in the desert. The highlight of the day for me was visiting Misfat Al Abriyeen village and eating Omani street food mishkak. 1:05 Royal Opera House Muscat, Tour - 2 OMR ($5.20) per person - One of the most famous sites in Muscat is the Royal Opera House, and it’s truly an incredible piece of architecture. Although I wasn’t able to visit an opera performance when I was in Muscat, you can go there and admire it from the outside and take a tour to go inside as well. 3:25 Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - One of the places you can’t leave Muscat without seeing is the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, built of sandstone and marble. It’s truly a beautiful place to see in Oman. 5:31 Nizwa Fort - 0.5 OMR ($1.30) - Nizwa is one of Oman’s cultural capitals, and it’s located just about an hour from Muscat. Mustafa is actually from Nizwa, and so he offered for us to drive there, and spend the day visiting some of the main attractions in Nizwa and around that area. The Nizwa Fort is right in the center of Nizwa, and it’s well worth a visit when you’re in Oman. 9:28 Lunch at Bin Ateeq Restaurant - For lunch, we were all extremely hot and tired, and we went to an Omani food restaurant in Nizwa called Bin Ateeq Restaurant - they also have some branches of the same restaurant in Muscat as well. They serve a menu of traditional Omani dishes, and we ordered thareed and makbūs. All the food was good, and we ate Omani style, on the floor, with our hands. Total price - about 7.5 OMR ($19.48) 14:34 Al Hamra - After lunch, we drove over to an Oasis in the desert called Al Hamra. It’s a village still today, but there’s an old part of the village that is now deserted, and you can walk around and see the ruins. It was fascinating. 16:07 Misfat Al Abriyeen - But my favorite place we visited on this day was Misfat Al Abriyeen, a date palm Oasis in Oman, that was set on the side of a mountain. Their system of date palms and irrigation was amazing. It was beautiful! 18:38 Oman street food Mishkak in Nizwa - About 1.6 OMR ($4.16) - After getting back from the Oasis, we headed back to Nizwa and had Omani street food mishkak before dinner. The camel skewers were my favorite. 22:31 Dinner at Marsa Al Saiyaad Restaurant - When it comes to Omani food, seafood is very popular, and so for dinner we went to a seafood restaurant in Nizwa called Marsa Al Saiyaad Restaurant. You choose your own fresh seafood, and then they grill everything for you. It was a fantastic final meal in Oman! Total price - About 10 OMR ($25.98) 26:44 Taxi from Nizwa to Muscat Airport - 15 OMR ($38.97), and Muscat Airport - After dinner we took a taxi from Nizwa to the Muscat Airport, and waited to catch our flight to Istanbul, which was at about 1 am. It was a long day, but a fantastic day in Oman. ►Get more details about everything included in this video in my Muscat Travel Guide here: https://goo.gl/bGfsoJ Music: https://www.audionetwork.com/browse/m/track/perfect-day_122610 https://www.audionetwork.com/browse/m/track/arabian-nights_20426 Star Alliance Round The World: http://www.staralliance.com/en/round-the-world Disclosure: This trip was made possible by Star Alliance and their Round The World tickets who covered my business class flights. Building Hanging After Landslide Collapses in Istanbul

01:12
The earth underneath a building in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district was washed away early Tuesday as the retaining wall of a nearby construction site collapsed amid heavy rainfall, leaving the building hanging on a cliff. Police and firefighter units evacuated the four-story building and two adjacent buildings in Sütlüce neighborhood and cordoned off the area. The building collapsed on mid-Tuesday before a large crowd of onlookers, officials and television crews, which broadcast live the moment of collapse. Beyoğlu Mayor Ahmet Misbah Demircan told reporters that the building was built illegally in 1994 and it had no construction license or occupancy permit and had problems with its foundation. It is unclear why authorities did not take action on the building to this date, but such instances are common in Istanbul and other cities throughout Turkey. Locals told several newspapers that they have warned construction officials of cracks in their buildings. Meanwhile, Turkish media outlets reported that the nearby construction site of a hotel belongs to renowned Turkish international footballer Arda Turan and his brother. Turan reportedly bought the land adjacent to the collapsed building for $4 million in 2017 in the area overlooking the Golden Horn, which has experienced rapid development in the last decade.

Mouthwatering Mumbai Food Tour - Parsi Food, Pani Puri, Kebabs, and Attractions in Mumbai, India

32:45
SUBSCRIBE here► http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe T-shirts: http://bit.ly/2bCOj2c Day 2: Mumbai is a city I’ve always wanted to visit for the combination of food and attractions. We woke up early in the morning and got started by visiting some attractions and eating some delicious food. The highlight of the day for me was eating Parsi food for the first time. 2:56 Chai near Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) - One of the greatest joys of visiting India is drinking hot cups of chai on the side of the street. It’s brewed hot and fresh, and it’s sweet and creamy. 4:47 Parsi Food at Britannia and Co. Restaurant - One of the unique types of food to eat in Mumbai is Parsi food, which is a combination of Iranian and Indian food, brought over from Zoroastrians who landed on the east coast of India. Britannia and Co. is a classic restaurant in Mumbai that serves marvelous Parsi food, and it’s a restaurant I was completely looking forward to eating at when I was in Mumbai. The first dish I tried was sali boti, and outstanding dish of cubes of tender mutton in a beautifully flavorful spiced stew. Another Parsi food you have to try at Britannia and Co. is the berry pulav, and I ordered it with chicken. It was a wonderful spiced rice with berries and chicken in the middle. The rice was fluffy and light, and sensational. I also tried the mutton dhansak, another classic Mumbai Parsi food, which was pretty good. Finally, we ended our meal with caramel custard. Read more about Britannia and Co. on my blog: https://migrationology.com/britannia-co-parsi-restaurant-mumbai/ 14:09 Dhobi Ghat - Driving along to a museum, we stopped at Dhobi Ghat, the world’s largest open air laundromat. It wasn’t too busy, but it was a nice place to see in Mumbai. 17:08 Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum - Next up we visited the Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum, the house where Gandhi would stay during his visits to Mumbai. The residence is made into a peaceful museum and library. 18:27 Pani Puri at Chowpatty Beach (Girgaum Chowpatty) - One of my favorite Indian street food dishes is pani puri, the combination of a puri (hollow chip) filled with spiced potatoes and chickpeas, and filled with flavored water and chutney. After walking around Chowpatty Beach for a while, we walked over to the food stalls on the side, had pani puri from Badshah stall. It was fantastic. 25:07 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya - 500 INR ($7.47) - After the Mumbai beach and pani puri, we headed to one of the most famous Mumbai museums and walked around for a while. 26:00 Gateway of India - The final stop of the day we headed over to the Gateway of India, one of the most recognizable attractions in Mumbai. 26:39 Grilled meat at Bademiya - For the final stop of the night we went to Bademiya Restaurant, one of the famous restaurants in Mumbai for grilled meat like seekh kebabs and chicken bhuna rolls. All the food I ordered was delicious, but I especially enjoyed the chicken bhuna roll. Bademiya restaurant has a pretty big indoor seating section, but they also offer standing space on the road to eat as well. Thank you for watching this day of Mumbai food and attractions in Mumbai, hope you enjoyed it! Incredible Omani Food and Attractions in Muscat (Camel Feast)!

33:15
►Check out my Muscat Travel Guide: https://goo.gl/bGfsoJ ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Watch the full playlist: http://bit.ly/2cBTPA0 On Day 6 of our round the world trip for food, we were Muscat, Oman. We started off visiting some attractions in Muscat like the fish market and souk, then had some amazing Omani food, and visited a couple beaches. The highlight of the day for me was eating Omani street food mishkak and an Omani meal of camel and rice. 00:51 Chai karak and cheese bread in the car - A common Omani food breakfast is the combination of tea, which is usually called chai karak, and cheese bread. So after meeting up with Mustafa, we had a quick breakfast in the car before driving over to the Muscat fish market. 2:03 Muscat Fish Market - One of my favorite things to do in any destination is go to the market, and I love fish markets. Muscat, being right along the coast, has plenty of seafood, and so we walked around the Muscat fish market for a while. It’s not a huge fish market, but there’s plenty to see, and it’s a great attraction in Muscat. 4:00 Muttrah Souk - The Muttrah Souk is the traditional market / bazaar in Muscat, and it’s a wonderful place to walk around and get lost shopping and browsing through the narrow alleys. At the Muttrah Souk, Mustafa bought me a kuma, which is a type of hat that’s one of the Omani national hats. 7:42 Al Alam Palace (Sultan's Palace) - After visiting the souk, we drove over the the Al Alam Palace, also known as the Sultan's Palace. Although you can’t go inside, you can get a view of it from the outside. 8:30 Bait Al Zubair Museum - 2 OMR ($5.19) - The Bait Al Zubair Museum is one of the important museums in Muscat and it’s a great place to visit to learn about Omani culture. 9:49 Qantab Beach - There are many beautiful beaches in Oman, and before lunch, we took a drive over to Qantab Beach just to take a look. Qantab Beach is spectacular with sparkling clear water. 11:11 Bait Al Luban Restaurant - For lunch we went to an Omani food restaurant called Bait Al Luban Restaurant. Located near the fish market, it was a former inn that’s now been renovated into a restaurant that serves traditional Omani food and some fusion modern Omani food. The restaurant is popular with both locals and tourists, and although it was a little fancier than I had expected, it was very nice, and the food was delicious. Shuwa is one of the Omani food national dishes, include lamb and rice, and that was one of the best dishes of the meal. 19:13 Qurum Beach - After resting for a while in the afternoon, we then headed to Qurum Beach, one of the main beach attractions in Muscat that’s right within the city. It’s a great place especially when the sun dies down in the late afternoon. 20:03 Al Seeb for Mishkak - There’s not a lot of Omani street food when you’re walking around Muscat, but a short drive away is Al Seeb, and there are some stalls that are famous for serving Mishkak, which is Omani style grilled meat on skewers. All the mishkak was delicious, but I especially liked the mutton liver mishkak. 24:43 Camel Restaurant - I’m not sure what the name of this restaurant was, but they are known in Muscat for serving camel. You walk inside and they have a variety of Omani food dishes already prepared, and you can choose whatever you like. We ordered a combination of camel curry and fried camel with a huge bed of rice, salad, half a chicken and some yoghurt on the side. The camel blew me away with how delicious it was, and especially the chunks of camel hump were extraordinary.
