All my life I've been the skinny guy. I've tried to gain muscle so many times you wouldn't believe it. I tried eating healthy and going to the gym. At some point I just stopped and accepted that my body was just not made for it. Now I know that no one is "made" for anything. Finally I was able to achieve my goals and become stronger than ever. Subscribe for more videos and follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/juma_twins/ :) I used Freeletics Gym as my training system to create an individualized training plan for me week by week, adapted to my experience, goals and your progress. The app helped me a lot as I didn't have a lot of experience learned the barbell movements with it through guided videos, my weights were increased automatically by its coach function and I was guided through every single workout. I couldn't have achieved what I did without it. ***UPDATE ON STARTING LIFTING NUMBERS*** I haven't actually done real 1RM tests in the beginning. These are just estimations based on the weights I trained with. I found a 1RM calculator online that said that it's pretty accurate up to 10 reps so I used its estimations. If I had known the technique better and if I had been able to push myself harder, I probably could have handled more weight but I was afraid to do the movements wrong and I found it kind of scary to use weights I am not sure I can handle - especially when it comes to bench press and squats. ***UPDATE ON NUTRITION*** I followed a very strict diet and without that, it would just not have been possible to change as drastically as I did. In general: I’m a pescetarian, that means, I don’t eat meat except for fish. I started with the Freeletics Nutrition Guide and applied the knowledge in a way that worked best for me. I will try to break it down to a few simple steps: 1) The key is finding what works best for you and then sticking to it: The first couple of weeks I only focussed on gaining weight as that has been my biggest struggle so far. High protein and high carb diet. Lot’s of fish and seafood. My calorie intake was up to about 4000kcal/day. After a while I realized that was too much as I was gaining fat as well and went down to a high protein moderate carb diet with a little more than 3000kcal which worked way better for me. My body developed the way I wanted it to and my performance went through the roof.. 2) No alcohol, no added sugar, no processed food at all. Real foods - that’s what is the basis for everyone. Don’t eat stuff you can’t pronounce. Just don’t do it. 3) It helps to track your calories and weigh your food. You need to know what you are eating as well as how much of it. It’s the same as for training: Doing the right exercises is the first step, programming it is the second. That's why the Freeletics Gym Coach worked for me. 4) Schedule your meals according to your day. Your body needs to be fueled with the right nutrients throughout the day and has special needs at certain times, i.e. I always ate a banana and drank a protein shake directly (15mins max) after training as the body needs carbs and proteins to regenerate and refuel. I also precooked my food for the whole day every morning. 5) Supplements: I took 5g of creatine and a protein shake right after each training. This rapid-fire follow-along home workout is a great way to learn a top-notch movement, giving all types of lifters a chance to test their strength and fitness. ►Total-Body Dumbbell Fix Program: http://bbcom.me/2FV61bd ► Shop Bodybuilding Signature Supplements: http://bbcom.me/2FV4YYL As with the other workouts in The Total-Body Dumbbell Fix, you won't focus on hitting specific sets and reps as you practice these movements. Go at your own pace and complete as many reps as possible. If you find yourself struggling to learn a particular movement, pause the video and work at your own pace until you feel confident in your form. Exercise intervals last 35-45 seconds, with 15-30 seconds of rest in between. Listen for the tone as you follow along with the video to let you know when the time is almost up. If you choose not to follow the video, you can increase or decrease the interval and rest times to adjust the intensity of the workout. Light to medium weight is best for this workout; heavier dumbbells will build strength and hypertrophy, while lighter dumbbells benefit aerobic performance and athletic endurance. The last two minutes will be a burner at any weight! Perform these first four exercises in a circuit, with about a minute of rest in between each full round. The man-maker is not part of this circuit because it is your final fitness test at the end of the workout. Glute Medius - The Weakest Muscle in Your Lower Body!

This is because unless you are directly training it, the glute medius is going to have a tendency to get weak and dominated by the more heavily concentrated on muscles like the quads and hamstrings. In this video, I show you how to easily address the weakness in the glute medius muscle and three ways to progress the exercises depending on your current strength level. First thing you need to know is whether or not you have a glute medius that is too weak. If you get knee pain during squats or deadlifts, you may very well have a weak glute medius on one or both sides. If you get an intense burn and fatigue in your hips when you do a simple side leg lift, you may in fact have weak glutes. If your hips drop when you stand on one leg, you most definitely have a weakness and it needs to be addressed. Here I show you a basic bodyweight exercise to strengthen the glute medius. This is a great option since it is closed chain. This means in the case of this exercise, that the foot is in contact with the ground on the working leg as you train the muscles in the hips. The leg furthest from the wall is the one you will be working on. Begin by lifting the leg closest to the wall and bending the hip and knee ninety degrees. From here allow your left leg muscles to get lazy as you let your pelvis drop to the right. You should now see that your pelvis and hips are slanted down and to the right a pretty good amount. The only way you will be able to restore a level pelvis is to slowly and concertedly contract the glute medius on the left leg. Try to slowly contract this muscle to lift the hips back up to level and even a bit beyond. You should feel an intense squeeze in your glutes on the left leg if you are doing this correctly. Aim to complete 20 reps in a slow controlled fashion if you can. If this variation is too easy, simply place the physioball on the wall on the outside of your non working leg. You will now use the resistance of the ball to make the driving of the outside hip even harder. Finally, you may use a band if you need to make the exercise even more difficult. Likely, you will find that you don’t even need much resistance as you have allowed this muscle to get weak by ignoring it for too long. Stop overlooking any muscle and start training like an athlete. If you have a small hat like this one with a not so wide crown and a very short brim, it makes the person look automatically bigger; so that's something you should always avoid. On the other hand, a larger hat makes everything more proportional, more suitable, and the wearer doesn't look oversized. The same is true for the hat band, ideally, you go with something quite wide that has a very low contrast to the hat, ideally in the same color. If you're a bigger gentleman and you want to snap your brim down, that's okay but rather than having just a slight snap, try to snip it all the way down and get a really deep snap, that way it suits your silhouette more. The brim should be rather wide, at least two and a half inches which are about six and a quarter centimeters. Fedoras are a great hat for larger men and so are Homburg hats with a certain size. Short, slim, or the modest man: If you're shorter, you'll always benefit from wearing a hat because it elongates your body and makes you look taller. Rather than having a rather wide crown, it pays to have it pinched to a point because it just flatters your short silhouette more. Also, rather than going with a tone in tone hat band, it pays to switch it up for something that's contrasting. Tall and thin men: Ideally, you don’t want to accentuate your height even more which means don’t go for a high crown. Instead, go for medium to low crowns. Facial Features: Big Nose: Rather than having it curled up, you definitely want to snap it down. Rather than going for a very pointy pinch, go for something that's a little wider. Slim brims that are snapped up or just slightly snapped down are your enemy because they will just accentuate the size of your nose. Receding chin: Definitely make sure to avoid a big hat and a full crown because that will just highlight your receding chin, likewise, don't snap your hat too much because it's not an advantageous look for you. Chiseled features: you want a hat with a slight pinch on the crown that is not too small and you want a nice deep snap. It's definitely best to not tilt your hat but keep it straight so everything looks more proportional. In order not to highlight your chiseled features, I urge you to stay away from a very tall crown or a very slim brim. Round faces: If you're a man with a round face, avoid getting hats that are too small. You don't want something that has a really pointy crown, and you also don't want to have a very slim brim that is not snapped down all the way; just makes you look goofy and disproportionately large. Protruding ears: it's very important that you have a wider brim that is snapped down and not snapped up. The brim is important because it doesn't highlight the size of your ears or the shape, but it rather helps to cover them up. Opt for a wider crown that is not too pointy, although a little point is alright. Also, go with a wide hatband that's ideally somewhat contrasting because of your ears, it really pays to not just snap down the hat in the front but also in the back. Because after spending years building muscle naturally I've learned that there are certain useless exercises that you should avoid entirely other exercises that you might want to consider incorporating and then there are the exercises that you just cant go without. Exercises that by themselves have the power to transform your physique. I've narrowed this list down to just seven of the most important exercises that you absolutely should have as a staple part of your routine to efficiently build the most muscle in the shortest amount of time. By mastering these 7 key compound exercises you'll see incredible results even if you're not doing any other exercises in the gym. And I made this video specifically for men not because women can't benefit from these exercises as well but because the ideal attractive body type for men is a V shape whereas for women it's more of an hourglass figure. So even though a lot of the exercises do crossover for both men women this video is specifically to help you develop the best manly physique with the least amount of exercises possible. I'm going to list off these exercises in no particular order, so Let's start first with a very important upper body exercise the bent over barbell Row. With this exercise you'll be working the rhomboids which are the muscles that connect your shoulder blades together so your upper back muscles and you'll also be working the back of your shoulder and your biceps. This is one of the most important pulling movements that you can do. Because you're working multiple muscle groups responsible for Pulling you're able to lift a lot more weight with this compound exercise then if you were to isolate any one of these muscles individually. By strengthening your rhomboids and your posterior deltoid you'll be tightening up your upper back which will help you hold yourself straight up and maintain a better more attractive upright posture. Since you can lift heavy weight with this exercise your biceps are also going to get a lot of stimulation because you'll be lifting a weight that would be impossible to lift with an isolated movement like bicep curls. A basic bent over row is done by grabbing a barbell with your hands a little wider than shoulder-width apart. Stick your butt out and stick your chest out before beginning the movement. Then bend down by about 60 degrees so you're a little higher than being fully parallel to the ground and you want let the weight hang straight down, do not flex your shoulders. While keeping your chest out pull the barbell inward towards your stomach and aim to touch your belly button with the bar. Then bring it back down to that hanging position and repeat this motion for reps. The great thing about rows is that you can do it with a barbell or you can do it with dumbbells, but a general rule of thumb to remember is that you'll be able to lift more weight and typically you'll be able to build more mass with barbells over dumbbells. Also by changing the angles at which you bend during a bent over row you can Target different parts of your back. A fully bent-over position where you're at a 90 degree angle will Target more of your lats and the middle of your back whereas standing more upright will Target more of your traps and upper back. Let's move on to another staple exercise that you should be doing, barbell and dumbbell chest presses. While the rows will help you develop the posterior or the back part of your upper body the chest presses are there to help you develop the anterior or the front part of your upper body. It'll hit your chest, the front head of your shoulders as well as your triceps. With chest presses you want to spend the majority of your time doing them at two different angles flat and incline. If your weakness is your upper chest you want to spend more of your time doing incline presses. if your upper chest is fine but you lack lower chest development you want to spend more of your time doing flat movements. Glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide is made and secreted mainly from the upper section of the small intestine from a specific type of cell known as the K cell Its main action occurs in the pancreas where it targets beta cells, which produce insulin. Glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide stimulates the release of insulin from the beta cells in the pancreas in order to maintain low blood sugar levels after eating. The main trigger for glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide release is food, in particular fatty foods or those foods that are rich in sugar.
