Point of Sale Displays

02:36
Think of anything labelled “off the shelf” and you think of readiness, speed and a one-size-fits-all product. Ideal if you’re in the market for a new winter coat. But not so good if you’re a retailer wanting to create an environment that grabs your customers’ attention and stimulates sales. Great point of sale and retail displays do just that. But making sure they’re effective, visually exciting and on brand, needs a tailored approach. These are the 5 critical things we consider when creating a custom experience for shoppers or guests; 1. Your customers Customers. Obviously. Also available in range of shapes and sizes, your customers will dictate the experience they expect from you and your brand. A dimly lit (and effortlessly cool) teen-fashion store won’t cut the mustard with a department store’s 40-something customer. Understanding what makes them comfortable and relaxed, and how they choose to browse, is a key driver. 2. The customer journey How is the visitor to your space going to move through it? Is his journey pre-defined? Does he need to be guided or steered? From the first signage and window display to the final pay point we’re looking to maximise every promotional opportunity. 3. Sensory cues Looking good! That’s a must. But other sensory cues, such as encouraging customers to touch the merchandise, try it, smell it, hear or even taste it (depending what it is of course!) all have a bearing on the positioning, structure and substrates to be used. 4. Durability For short-lived promotions a disposable display is not only acceptable, it might be positively necessary. But where it’s “used in anger” and has to endure over time then that will impact on the materials and the production processes. 5. Last, but never least, budget Working to a budget doesn’t have to mean a big, fat compromise. Getting the very best value from it comes from consultancy, design, prototyping and full-on production from one source that really knows their stuff. We think of our custom displays as affordable made-to-measure. If you think you like the cut of our jib and want to talk to experts that are happy to listen, pick up the phone or drop us an email.

Point Of Purchase Displays and How Industrial Packaging can Help you Promote your Brand in Retail!

02:05
www.IndustrialPackaging.com We have all been to the Wal-Marts, Sam's Clubs, and Targets of the world, and as we walk down the wide aisles, there are 360-degree, walk-around displays, showcasing different products. They have facings and graphics on all four sides that and can be shopped from all four sides. These are point-of-purchase displays. As you are walking through the aisles, notice that I have now made you aware of something you probably have never thought about, despite the fact that you have grabbed something off of it at one point or another. Now that you know what they are, you will notice them every time you shop! As you look at each of the aisles, at the end of them is usually an end-cap display showcasing a product or several similar products by the same brand. These are also point-of-purchase displays. A point-of-purchase display is anything that will showcase a product that is not in its normal placement within the store, and is made of some sort of corrugated or metal material. WHAT CAN INDUSTRIAL PACKAGING DO WITH MY POP DISPLAY PROJECT? We can start as early in the process as you want. We have the capability to design, provide, and set up the displays for you. If you have a consumer good and you're not sure how to get it to market, we are able to walk you from the birth of your project, right to the in-store set up. I'm a huge fan of POP displays for a variety of reasons, and a lot of people don't understand how to go about getting one or bringing one to the market. We can help you understand how to get into a big-box store like Sam's, Walmart, or BJ's with your own display as well as how to construct, fill, and understand the different regulations and footprints that are allowed in the different types of retail outlets so that you have the optimal placement for your display!

Sales promotion

06:50
Sales promotion is one of the five aspects of the promotional mix. (The other 4 parts of the promotional mix are advertising, personal selling, direct marketing and publicity/public relations.) Media and non-media marketing communication are employed for a pre-determined, limited time to increase consumer demand, stimulate market demand or improve product availability. Examples include contests, coupons, freebies, loss leaders, point of purchase displays, premiums, prizes, product samples, and rebates Sales promotions can be directed at either the customer, sales staff, or distribution channel members (such as retailers). Sales promotions targeted at the consumer are called consumer sales promotions. Sales promotions targeted at retailers and wholesale are called trade sales promotions. Some sale promotions, particularly ones with unusual methods, are considered gimmicks by many. This video is targeted to blind users. Introduction to Marketing: The Importance of Product, Price, Place, & Promotion | Episode 118

04:57
Subscribe to Alanis Business Academy on YouTube for updates on the latest videos: https://www.youtube.com/alanisbusinessacademy?sub_confirmation=1 Marketing is everything involved in creating, communicating, and delivering value to customers, clients, and even society. Marketing is involved in everything from the market research that goes into determining what products consumers are looking for, to the message that is transmitted to consumers to inform them about a product and even persuade them to purchase it. In between those stages, marketing also plays a prominent role in determining how the product should look, designing the packaging that will enclose the product, deciding whether to sell the product through traditional retailers or entirely online, and establishing a price point that is not only attractive to consumers but allows gives the business the opportunity to be profitable. Now when most people think of marketing they often think of advertising, which is completely understandable given we are are constantly exposed to advertisements at home, at the office, and even during our commutes. Although advertising is a component of marketing it certainly does not explain the entire subject. In fact, advertising is simply one of the four different types of promotion, and promotion is one of the four main elements of marketing. So you can see that advertising, like the other marketing elements, merely plays a role in helping businesses create, communicate, and deliver a single unified message to potential customers. So how does a businesses create, communicate, and deliver value to its customers? Although there are many variables at work, a business can increase the probability of success by creating an effective and consistent marketing mix. Often referred to as the 4 P's, the market mix is a collection of four elements that outline the strategy for how a business intends to reach its customers. These four elements include product, place, promotion, and price. The product includes the tangible product or intangible service that will be used to fulfill a customer need or want. The features of a product, its physical form, packaging, warranties, and even after-sale service are all included under the product strategy. Place includes how a business intends to get products from the location they are produced to where they can ultimately be consumed by consumers. Place is often referred to as distribution since we are dealing with logistics. However, place not only includes the physical distribution of the product but also the channel through which it will be sold. Promotion involves establishing the most effective method for communicating with its customers about the various products that it sells. Promotion is primarily meant to communicate, inform, and persuade. An effective promotion strategy, like the other marketing mix elements, depends upon a businesses knowledge of its target customer. This knowledge allows a business to select the best way to communicate with its core audience and ultimately increase the success of its communications. The last element of the market mix is price. Price is the easiest marketing mix element to alter from a technical sense, however it is the most difficult thing to change. The reason is that altering the price of a product affects what consumers pay for that product, and a business can only charge as much as the market is willing to pay for a product. Technically a business can charge whatever price it wants, but that does not mean that consumers have to pay that price. Like the other marketing mix elements, price can send a message to consumers. For example, many believe that maintaining low prices is the best method to attract consumers. Although this can be an effective pricing strategy for certain items, it can also confuse consumers. For example, Tiffany & Co. sells expensive jewelry and is known for high quality and is one of the most recognizable brands. Because Tiffany & Co is known for quality and maybe even exclusivity, it wouldn't benefit from a low price point. Dealing with the psychological aspect of pricing, consumers tend to view less expensive items as cheap in quality compared to their more expensive counterparts. Although this doesn't always hold to be true, businesses are very aware of the impact that price can have on the perceptions of consumers.

What is a POS System? Definition of Point of Sale (POS) Systems with Examples

03:02
So what is POS? Our POS expert explains that POS stands for point of sale. Source: https://www.harbortouchpossoftware.com/what-is-pos/ In our video tutorial we are going to show you that a point-of-sale (POS) transaction is what takes place between a merchant and a customer when a product is sold. What is a POS Terminal? A POS terminal is synonymous with POS system. A POS terminal is the electronic equipment performing the sales transaction and processing the credit card payments. So what are the most common POS systems out there? 1. Restaurant POS Systems - The primary reason you need a POS for a restaurant is to accept payments and to streamline operations. In addition to receiving payments, you need to be able to track all your sales and tax data. There can be hundreds of POS features that can streamline your operations and make your restaurant more efficient. 2. Bar POS Systems - There is software designed specifically for bars, most POS systems used by restaurants can also be used for a bar. Particularly for busy bars, your system needs to have speed functions for quick order input and quick check out. The quicker you’re able to process a transaction the happier your customers will be. 3. Retail POS Systems - Retail point of purchase (POP) systems are typically programmed specifically for retail environments. So that means you would most likely never use a restaurant POS terminal for a retail shop and vice versa. Retail businesses can have some particular requirements and features that other programs will not have. 4. Small Business POS Systems - A small business point of sale system could come in many shapes, sizes, and flavors. Most of the new small business technology is app based and on mobile platforms. A small biz POS might be used for environments like a small retail shop, small restaurant, yogurt shop, or cafe. 5. Campeonato de Futbol Italiano on DIRECTV On air promotional ad

00:40
As Art Director for the Marketing department of DIRECTV Latin America, I was responsible for generating advertising and promotional concepts for various media, including newspaper and magazine advertising, outdoor advertising, point of purchase, TV and on- air promotions for markets throughout Latin America. This included both the creation and design--as well as technical implementation--of advertising campaigns for Brazil in Portuguese; the Caribbean in English and several other countries in Spanish. In addition to my role in marketing, I work closely with the programming department adapting advertising concepts to on air TV promotions to various subscriber-oriented markets.

How stores track your shopping behavior | Ray Burke | TEDxIndianapolis

16:15
This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Why are companies so intent on using technology to track our behavior? Our actions reveal what we desire, how we shop, and why we buy. Retailers can now learn so much more about shopper behavior than ever before, and while these “big data” applications create concerns about privacy, the detailed data can be used to design stores, product offerings and promotions that connect with our interests, speed up the shopping process, and help us find items we will buy. These new tools are critical to improving store efficiency and shoppability; and offer a vision of the future of retailing. Raymond R. Burke (Bloomington, IN USA) is the E.W. Kelley Professor of Business Administration at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, and founding director of the School’s Customer Interface Laboratory, a state-of-the-art facility for investigating how customers interact with new retail environments and technologies. His research focuses on understanding the influence of point-of-purchase factors–including new products, product packaging, pricing, promotions, assortments, and displays–on consumer shopping behavior. Dr. Burke has served on the faculties of the Harvard Business School and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. His articles have appeared in several major journals, including the Harvard Business Review, the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Marketing, and Marketing Science. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Topaz Promotional Point of Sale Case Study

01:01
To see more Promotional Point of Sale Projects by The Printed Image click: http://www.tpi.ie/portfolio/ Topaz Ireland - one of our best clients here at The Printed Image embarked on a huge POS project for their 109 Service Stations. Topaz entrusted TPI with this vital project from start to finish. They wanted to engage with their customers at the point of sale, they needed to inform them, to sell more products and give the retail space a clean and fresh look. The brief: Firstly visit each and every one of their service stations across the Republic of Ireland and compile a comprehensive bible of photos and measurements for each site. The TPI installation team set off and completed this task in 5 days! Next up: The artwork for all 109 sites -- a mammoth task as each site has a bespoke set of measurements. Working closely with the Topaz Marketing dept and their excellent in-house designer, the TPI studio took this challenge on board, and through sheer hard work, commitment and dedication they completed the artwork for over 1000 bespoke pieces in 12 days. Our production team then set about printing each sites unique requirement, one of the biggest projects we have ever embarked on. The logistics of collating 109 sites, each site with over 14 bespoke pieces, checking and rechecking artwork, measurements etc, did take its toll once or twice, but the team persevered and delivered each pack on time to our installation team. Topaz required all sites to be finished by close of business Friday 8th October. Mission Accomplished!! 109 comprehensive reci's, Over 1000 bespoke pieces of artwork, Just under 3.5 weeks printing and 450 man hours in installations. A job well done for all concerned! And brighter new look for Topaz!

Set Up Merchant Promotions - AdWords In Under Five Minutes

03:36
Google AdWords is now Google Ads. Click here to learn more about our new advertising brand: blog.google/technology/ads/new-advertising-brands/ Learn how to set up Merchant Promotions so that you can display Special Offer Links under your Product Listing Ads! 00:00 Hi everyone, I’m Spencer from the AdWords team and this is AdWords In Under 5 Minutes. This video will teach you all you need to know about Merchant Promotions! Let’s get started! 00:20 With Merchant Promotions you can distribute your online promotions with your Shopping Ads on Google.com and Google Shopping. Online promotions are shown along with Shopping Ads as "special offer" links. The goal of Merchant Promotions is to provide an added value to what is displayed on Shopping Ads for Google shoppers. 00:37 Promotions can come in a variety of forms, including percentage discounts and money-off offers. 00:43 There are a few important requirements to having merchant promotions. First you must have a Merchant Center account with a data feed of products. And second, you must have completed this form. If you haven’t yet filled it out, click the link here to do so. 1:00 It’s also important to remember that the promotion you are planning to run must meet the following requirements: It should be limited to six months. It must be redeemable at the checkout of point of purchase. A promotion cannot be a reduction or mark down in price. And a promotion for free shipping must include a voucher code. 1:21 Now that we know exactly how to apply for promotions and what requirements they must meet, we can walk through how to apply them to your Merchant Center account. 1:30 There are two main ways you can submit promotions. The first way is with the +Promotion Tool. This is great if you only have a few promotions to add. To do this, navigate to the ‘Promotions section’ from the left navigation bar in your merchant dashboard. Select ‘+Promotions’ in the top left corner. From here you can fill in the specific promotion details and click save. 1:53 The second option is a Promotions feed. This method is useful for merchants who have many promotions. You’ll submit a data feed of your promotions with six attributes: (1) The promotion ID, which must be a unique number for this promotion, (2) Product applicability, which indicates whether this promotion is for all products or just specific products, (3) the offer type, meaning is there a coupon code needed for this promotion? (4) The long title of the promotion which is a maximum of 60 characters, (5) The promotion effective dates, meaning the start and end date, and (6) the redemption channel, which must be labelled as ‘Online’. 02:38 Once you upload your Promotions feed, it will be reviewed for 24-48 hours. After the review process, the promotion will either be Approved, Rejected or Stopped. If the promotion is rejected, hover your mouse over the speech bubble and this will provide you with a detailed disapproval reason and ways to fix the issue. 2:58 Once you make corrections, simply re-upload the feed. And now you are all set to start using merchant promotions! 3:04 Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and if you have any questions you can post them in the comment section below. If you have further questions you can find us on social media, discuss this in the AdWords community, chat to an online specialist, or pick up the phone and give us a call. Thanks for tuning in!
