Why the Red sea is named Red?

02:07
There are on our planet sea of extraordinary beauty, attracting millions of tourists from around the world for its clear water, beautiful coral and variety of fish. This is the Red Sea. This is one of the most beautiful places of our planet. Why is it so named? The exact answer is unknown. Someone thinks that it got this name because of algae, which in some months alter the color of the sea with sky-blue to red. And some prefer a more interesting explanation. According to the Bible, Moses led the Jews from Egypt to Israel, just across the Red Sea. When they got to the beach - the water parted and exposed bottom. It is entirely composed of gorges, cliffs and valleys. The road was impassable and very many Jews died when fallen down and their blood filled the bottom. Therefore, it was called - the Red Sea. Giant Snake Caught in Red Sea

04:17
Monster snake found in Red Sea. Dead giant snake on truck responsible for eating 300 men, divers & tourist. According to a story on Facebook A monster snake of epic proportions that was responsible for the deaths of over 300 tourists and over 120 divers in the Red Sea was found and killed by a special team of Egyptian Scientists and Divers... Images have been floating around the net showing what appears to be the carcass of what definitely has to be the world's biggest snake. The story circulating with the pictures claims the snake was found in the Red Sea. They claimed the snake was over 20 feet tall and as long as 3 ½ school buses...(approx 36 feet) The age of the beast, taken its considerable size into consideration was estimated to be over 100 years old. (2 audio takes) Images included pictures of the dead snake on top of some kind of military transport carrier, next to some tanks, being hoisted up by a helicopter among others... I was intrigued by the images as well as the story. I had my own questions and wanted answers... #1 How big can a snake get? #2 How long can a snake live? And last but not least... Who is they? The longest snake in the world is the reticulated python and can grow up to 30 feet long, and according to the people at Guinness World Records the record for longest snake ever in captivity goes to a python named “Medusa” Even at 30 feet long, that's not even as long as one school bus. Reticulated pythons live on average 15 to 20 years with some having reached 25 to 30 years old. Now... Who... is... they? The story claims a specialized team of scientists and divers tracked and killed the raging reptile and as if to give the story some credence they listed some names... They included Scientists like Drs, Karim Mohammed , Mohammed Sharif and Mr. Sea...as well as specialized divers Abdullah Karim, Wael Mohammed and mahmoud Shafik. This would not be the first time a giant reptile was claimed to be caught on film... This pic was alleged to be taken by Belgian Helicopter pilot Col Remy Van Lierde somewhere over the Congo in 1959 at heights over 500 feet, making the snake an estimated 200 feet long. The colonel also claimed, that when going in for a closer look the giant snake it rose up preparing to attack if the helicopter got any closer. So is this dead, dead sea snake real or a hoax? A few things to consider... When I researched these names, the only references I could find of them only lead back to the snake story on some very less than reputable news sites. Not to mention, one of the Dr's names in the article is “Dr. Mr. Sea.” Drawing upon extensive investigative and forensic knowledge gained by my many years of watching Law and Order and CSI, the original, not those lame copy cats..(really just did a google search). I was able to deduce that these photos and the snake are REAL!!! These absolutely 100% real photos of this authentically dead snake began to show up in 2012 on some Persian and Arabic language web sites. But...they did not originate there. They go back as far as 2010 and were originally published by some Vietnamese IT Students under the title “Vietnam Army Captured Giant Snake.” The only thing not real in the pics were the soldiers, and military vehicles. They are in fact just the kind of really cool toys my dad never bought for me. But the snake is real, but would be at most three feet long. Using forced perspective and some clever positioning, these students were able to execute one of the funnest looking hoaxes I think I've ever seen. Sorry internets! TOP WATER ACTION ,, Red Sea EGYPT

11:12
A nice 2 day fishing trip ,,,, high winds and swell most of the day , jigging was not as we expected , only one hook up and another lost strike , nice size coral trout was landed . But top-water action was the winner in this trip , as popping and casting was much more productive and fun than jigging. we landed 3 GT's and lost one with a popper :( , and chased by another big black one but with no hookup , also landed two red snappers (bohar) , and chased by another one . the fun and new for us is landing a black grouper (tarad) on a stickbait. casting was so much fun , a lot of different species was landed and released to fight another day . plz support catch & release

Red Sea, Mar Rosso, Sharm El Sheikh, Ras Mohamed, Gulf of Suez

19:00
Egypt's Red Sea coast runs from the Gulf of Suez to the Sudanese border. Its mineral-rich red mountain ranges inspired the mariners of antiquity to name the sea Mare Rostrum, or the Red Sea. Diving the Red Sea can be one of the most inspirational experiences of your life. The Red Sea is a spectacular ecosystem formed millions of years ago when the Arabian Peninsula broke off from Africa as a result of the movement of the Red Sea Rift. Closed on the North by the Sinai's connection to Egypt, Israel, & Jordan, the Red Sea is open to the Indian Ocean through the Mandib Strait and the Gulf of Aidan to the South. About 2250 km (1398 mi) long and 355 km (220.6 mi) wide at its widest, the Sea is rather large, and is the northernmost tropical sea. Being surrounded by desert climate makes the Red Sea warm and pretty salty, since it receives minimal waterfall each year, and much evaporation occurs as a result of the heat. This also means that the Red Sea is relatively warm, with average water temperatures in February being 22°C (72°F) and reaching 30°C (86°F) in June -- August. The great conditions of the Red Sea also include good visibility, due to calm waters and increased light penetration resulting from its close proximity to the Equator. These factors make the Red Sea great for both the growth of underwater wildlife, and also great for diving to see this wildlife. The water conditions of the Red Sea have helped to nourish more than 1200 species of fish, of which about 10% are native only to the Red Sea. These fish are supported by about 2000 km (1240 mi) of coral reefs along the coast, some as old as 5000 -- 7000 years old. Among these reefs can also be found dolphins, turtles, and approximately 44 species of sharks. Though there are a few species that are harmful to humans, most species are actually harmless. Diving the Red Sea also offers something for everyone. Not only is there plenty of nature to enjoy, but the further North you go, there are also many wrecks that are quite beautiful and worth a visit to. Among them are the Thistlegorm and the Kingston. Since the Red Sea has had ships traveling through it as an important trade route for centuries, some of these ships have gotten caught on rocks and sunk, and some have even been sunk during World Wars I & II. Needless to say, these wreckage sites offer sine stunning views, having been populated by some coral and fish in the years since their sinking. Yet another beautiful attraction in the Northern Red Sea is the Ras Mohamed National Marine Park. This is truly a gem of the Red Sea. Located on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, only 12 km from the resort town of Sharm El Sheikh, Ras Mohamed was declared a marine reserve in 1983 to protect the stunning wildlife from the ruin of fishing and overdevelopment. The park contains the islands of Tiran and Sanafir, Shark and Yolanda Reefs, and many more beautiful formations. The area is so rich in nutrients brought in by currents from either side of the Sinai, that underwater life is abundant, with barracuda, unicorn fish, batfish, and sharks. Jacques-Yves Cousteau even ranked Shark Reef as one of his top 10 dives. A bit further south is Marsa Alam, a great diving destination. Marsa Alam enjoys pleasant water temperatures year round, with winter temperatures being about 24°C (75°F), and summer water temperatures around 30°C (86°F). Being located further south, Marsa Alam enjoys less pollution and crowds, making the water clearer, though in April and May visibility isn't at its best as a result of a seasonal boom in plankton. Overall, Marsa Alam is so wildlife friendly with its warm waters, it's common to see bottlenose dolphins, spinner dolphins, sea turtles, sharks, and even a dugong. Life is so peaceful here, and so are the waters, it allows divers and snorkelers a great opportunity to experience the colorful coral and some its friendly inhabitants. While there are plenty of great dive sites worldwide, the Red Sea really is amazing in that there is such a vast variety of marine life, and the conditions are just right, so you'll be able to experience a sea teeming with unique life & sites, while also being able to visit some of the most historically significant regions in the world. Dive by taking a day boat or a live aboard. Either way, diving the Red Sea has never been easier or more worthwhile!

THE EXODUS - GOD parts the RED SEA through MOSES

06:24
The Exodus - God parts the Red Sea through Moses. The Ten Commandments 2006 version combined with Exodus 14 brings this amazing historical event to life as God parts the Red Sea through Moses. Enjoy! The Exodus - God parts the Red Sea through Moses. Exodus 14:5 And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us? Exodus 14:6 And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him: Exodus 14:7 And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them. Exodus 14:8 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand. Exodus 14:9 But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon. Exodus 14:10 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD. Exodus 14:11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? Exodus 14:12 Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness. Exodus 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. Exodus 14:14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. Exodus 14:15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: Exodus 14:16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. Exodus 14:17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. Exodus 14:18 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. Exodus 14:19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: Exodus 14:20 And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night. Exodus 14:21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. Exodus 14:22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. Exodus 14:23 And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. Exodus 14:24 And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians, Exodus 14:25 And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians. Exodus 14:26 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. Exodus 14:27 And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. Exodus 14:28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them. Exodus 14:29 But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. Exodus 14:30 Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore. Exodus 14:31 And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.

Exodus of Moses at Red Sea - The Real Mount Sinai :: Part 5 of 6

14:09
[Acts 7:36-40] He [Moses] led them out, performing wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness [of Midian/Saudi Arabia] forty years. Here is the one [Muhammad] whom Moses mentioned to the Israelite, ‘God will raise up for you a prophet [Muhammad] like me from your brothers.’ He [Moses] was in the assembly in the wilderness with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors; and he received living words to pass on to us. But our ancestors refused to obey him. Instead, they rejected him and turned back to Egypt in their hearts. They told Aaron, 'Make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who led us out of Egypt - we don't know what has happened to him!'

The Exodus - Parting The Red Sea - Mount Sinai - The Ten Commandments - Joshua - Chapter 4

29:57
This Series is all about the Holy Bible, God and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. This is Chapter 4 of #13. No Greater Joy Ministries has the DVD set to this Animated Biblical Series: http://nogreaterjoy.org/shop/good-and-evil-the-animated-series-dvd The importance of the parting of the Red Sea is that this one event is the final act in God’s delivering His people from slavery in Egypt. The exodus from Egypt and the parting of the red sea is the single greatest act of salvation in the Old Testament, and it is continually recalled to represent God’s saving power. The events of the exodus, including parting and crossing of the Red Sea, are immortalized in the Psalms as Israel brings to remembrance God’s saving works in their worship (e.g., Psalm 66:6; 78:13; 106:9; 136:13). God prophesied to Abraham that his descendants would become slaves in a foreign nation for 400 years, but God promised to deliver them: “But I will bring judgment on the nation that they serve, and afterward they shall come out with great possessions” (Genesis 15:14). The prophecy came to fulfillment when, many years after the death of Joseph, a Pharaoh came to power in Egypt who afflicted the people of Israel and enslaved them (Exodus 1:8–11). It wasn’t until after the birth of Moses that we read God “heard” the cries of His people and prepared to deliver them (Exodus 2:23–25). The rest of the story is well known. Moses was commissioned by God to be the deliverer of His people. He went before Pharaoh and requested the people to be let go so they may worship the Lord. Pharaoh refused (“he hardened his heart”) and began to oppress the people of Israel even more. Then began the cycle of the ten plagues. Moses requested that Pharaoh release his people, Pharaoh refused, God sent a plague, Pharaoh “repented,” and God removed the plague. After the final plague (the death of the firstborn), Pharaoh finally agreed to let the children of Israel go. But then he had another change of heart and chased after them with his army. That’s when the great scene of deliverance occurred as God parted the Red Sea, allowing the children of Israel to pass through safely, but drowning Pharaoh and his army under the sea. Now we may be tempted to think that this is a wonderful story of God’s miraculous saving power on display, and leave it at that. However, we would be missing the bigger picture in the story of redemption. The Old Testament prepares the way for the New Testament, and all of God’s promises find their “yes” and “amen” in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). The exodus from Egypt, though a real, historical event, prefigures the saving work of Christ for His people. What God did through Moses was to provide physical salvation from physical slavery. What God does through Christ is provide spiritual salvation from a spiritual slavery. However, our slavery isn’t like that of the Israelites in Egypt. The Israelites were slaves in Egypt, but we are all slaves to sin. As Jesus said to the Pharisees, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:34, 36). The passing through the Red Sea is symbolic of the believer’s identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul says, “For I want you to know, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, and all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ” (1 Corinthians 10:1–4). Paul is giving the exodus from Egypt a Christological reading; he is making the connection between the exodus from Egypt and salvation in Christ. Notice how Paul says “all were baptized into Moses.” Just as the Israelites were “baptized into Moses,” so too are Christians baptized into Christ: “We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4). So the parting of the Red Sea not only finalized God’s redemption of His people from slavery in Egypt, but it also prefigured the greater spiritual reality of God’s redemption of His people from slavery to sin through the work of Christ.

Tai -Red sea bream-

06:57
Red sea bream is a name given to at least two species of fish of the family Sparidae, Pagrus major and Pagellus bogaraveo. Pagellus bogaraveo is also known as blackspot sea bream. The sea bream has long been considered king among fish in Japan. The Japanese word mede-tai means literally, "wanting of admiration, " or "auspicious" and "celebratory." Japanese are particularly fond of specific foods on auspicious occasions because of certain fortuitous plays on words, or the association of a name with words related to good fortune. Pagrus major is known as madai and is prized both for its flavor and for its traditional use as an auspicious food often served at New Year's and festive occasions such as weddings.

Red Sea to Supply Water to Dead Sea

01:11
The Dead Sea, bordering the Middle Eastern countries of Israel and Jordan, and the Palestine territories, is reportedly losing water, with the surface receding at the rate of around three feet annually, due to irrigation water taken out of its tributary, the River Jordan. The Dead Sea, bordering the Middle Eastern countries of Israel and Jordan, and the Palestine territories, is reportedly losing water, with the surface receding at the rate of around three feet annually, due to irrigation water taken out of its tributary, the River Jordan. An agreement has been signed by officials from Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority in an effort to save the Dead Sea from disappearing by bringing water from the Red Sea to a desalination plant in Jordan and piping the resulting brine to the Dead Sea. Hydroelectric energy will be used to power the desalination process that will also provide drinking water for the area. The deal was signed at the World Bank headquarters in Washington D.C. with a projected cost of between 250 and 400 million dollars. The Dead Sea not only provides water for the area, but is also popular with the health and tourism industry thanks to its unique mineral properties. These industries are threatened by the loss of water, which some estimates say could disappear by 2050. However, environmental advocacy groups are also concerned over the possible effects of the brine on the area's fragile ecosystem. What do you think about the plan to bring brine from the Red Sea to restore the Dead Sea' s water level?

10 MOST DANGEROUS OCEAN CREATURES IN THE WORLD

10:17
10 Most Dangerous Water Animals In The World ► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/vHN6qB For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] There are many different types of creatures that live in streams, lakes, seas and oceans. And while many of these creatures are harmless, there are many that are incredibly dangerous if you happen to have an encounter with them. These dangerous animals lurk beneath the surface of the water in a world vastly different than ours, and must be deadly to survive. Join us as we take a look at 10 of the most dangerous water creatures. 10. Australian Box Jellyfish – This creature is not one to be messed around with if you happen to swim into a swarm of them. And while they may seem harmless, the Australian box jellyfish is considered to be the most venomous marine animal in the world. They have tentacles that are covered with tiny darts called nematocysts, and they are loaded with poison. 9. Flower Urchin – Beautiful but deadly, these sea urchins are extremely venomous. They look like a bouquet of small flowers; to which they get their name from. They feed on invertebrates, sponges, and dead fish, and have well developed jaws for grinding up their prey. 8. The Saltwater Crocodile – Evolving around 200 million years in the Mesozoic epoch, crocodiles have far outlived the dinosaurs. The Salt water crocodile is the world’s largest reptile, and they have been known to grow up to 27 feet long and weigh 2,465 lbs. 7. Textile Cone Snail – Mother nature teaches us that anything in nature that is beautiful, is most likely deadly, and a warning to predators and humans to not touch or disturb them. This holds true for the Textile Cone Snail. 6. The Sea Snake – These highly venomous marine snakes are closely related and belong to the same family as the cobra. There are two independently evolved groups: the true sea snakes which are related to Australian terrestrial elapids, and the sea kraits which are related to Asian cobras. 5. The Lionfish – Lionfish are skilled hunters, using specialized bilateral swim bladder muscles to provide exquisite control of location in the water column, allowing the fish to alter its center of gravity to better attack prey. The lionfish then spreads its large pectoral fins and swallows its prey in a single motion. 4. The Stingray – Stingrays are a group of rays, which are cartilaginous fish related to sharks, and are one of the oceans deadliest creatures. Most stingrays have one or more barbed stingers on their tails, which are used exclusively for self-defense. 3. Blue-Ringed Octopus – This octopus has some of the most striking colors of any ocean creature. They get their name from the brightly blue colored rings on its body. 2. Needlefish – These strange looking creatures are very slender, and have a single dorsal fin, placed far back on the body. Needlefish are capable of making short jumps out of the water at up to 37 mph. Since Needlefish swim near the surface, they often leap over the decks of shallow boats rather than going around. 1. The Moray Eel - Most attacks stem from disruption of a moray's burrow to which they react strongly, but an increasing number of accidents also occur during hand feeding of morays by divers, an activity often used by dive companies to attract tourists.

Split Mountain and Red sea where prophet Musa Moses AS crosses Saudi Arabia

01:57
فيديو ل سبليت الجبل والبحر حيث النبي موسى ساو الصليبان في تبوك، المملكة العربية السعودية بالقرب من مصر,jabal yusuf, yusuf al bahar, Red sea crossing video, The kings of Egypt-known as "Pharaohs" (or "Fir'awn" in the Arabic of the Qur'an)-regarded themselves as divine in the polytheistic, superstitious religion of ancient Egypt. At a time when the people of Egypt favoured a superstitious belief system over a divine belief system-the same era in which when the Children of Israel were enslaved-Allah sent the Prophet Musa (as) as a messenger to the tribe of Egypt. However, Pharaoh and his court, and the people of Egypt in general, almost universally refused to abandon their idolatrous beliefs when the Prophet Musa (as) called them to divine religion and the Oneness of Allah. The Prophet Musa (as) revealed to Pharaoh and his courtiers that they should avoid false worship, warning them of Allah's wrath. In response to this, they rose up and slandered the Prophet Musa (as): They accused him of being mad, of being a sorcerer and of falsehood. Pharaoh and his people refused to submit to the Prophet Musa (as) even though many troubles were visited upon them. They refused to accept Allah as the only God. They even held the Prophet Musa (as) responsible for what had befallen them and sought to exile him from Egypt. In the Qur'an, Allah makes this reference to the Prophet Musa (as) and the believers with him: We revealed to Musa: "Travel with Our servants by night. You will certainly be pursued." Pharaoh sent marshals into the cities: "These people are a small group and we find them irritating and we constitute a vigilant majority." We expelled them from gardens and springs, from treasures and a splendid situation. So it was! And We bequeathed them to the tribe of Israel. So they pursued them towards the east. (Qur'an, 26:52-60) The video shows the route taken by the Prophet Musa (as) after leaving Egypt and the estimated location of the site where the sea divided.

ACROSS THE RED SEA - The Old Testament ep. 19 - EN

24:28
The great caravan of the sons of Israel travels the road indicated by the Lord. By day they are hidden in a cloud of dust, and by night, encircled in a column of fire. When the Pharaoh is told that the Israelites have left, he realizes that he has forever lost a source of great wealth. At the head of an army of chariots and horsemen he sets out determined once more to capture and enslave the Jews. Meanwhile, the Jews are convinced they are safe, but find their way blocked by the Red Sea. They then realize that the Pharaoh's army is in pursuit, and grow afraid. "And so the Lord told Moses: lift up your rod and stretch out your hand over the sea...”. Moses obeys the Lord and the sea divides allowing the Jews to safely cross along a stretch of dry land, while the water is held back by walls on both sides. The Pharaoh’s chariots arrive on the shore, and head down into the dry corridor in pursuit of the fugitives. When all the Jews have reached the other side, the sea closes over the pursuers, who are then swept away. Safe on the other side of the Red Sea, the people of Israel celebrate their newfound freedom with songs of the Lord. Moses orders the Israelites to make camp, and leads them into the wilderness of Shur. They next walk for three days without finding a drop of water. When they reach Marah they can't drink the water because it is salt. The people begin to complain. Moses invokes the name of the Lord, and the Lord tells him to throw a branch into the water. He does so and immediately it becomes drinkable. By the time they reach Elim, they have nothing left to eat. The Lord listens to their complaints and sends them an infinite number of quail, as meat, and a large quantity of manna that rains down from the sky, as bread. However, the complaints do not cease… Moses leads the Israelites deeper into the desert, and the lack of water becomes an ever-greater hazard. But the Lord does not abandon His people. He tells Moses to strike the living rock with his rod, and water gushes forth in great abundance. The native people of Amalek wage war against the Israelites and attempt to stop the gigantic caravan encroaching on their lands. Moses calls Joshua and orders him to attack Amalek's army. Now, almost one hundred years old, the patriarch climbs the hill that overlooks the battlefield and prays to the Lord. When Moses raises his arms towards the Heavens, the tide of battle turns in favor of the Israelites. However, when he tires and lowers his arms, Amalek gains then the upper hand. Aaron and other men run to Moses' side and help him to keep his arms raised to Heaven. And so it is that Joshua defeats Amalek. In order to show his gratitude to the Lord, Moses has an altar built on the site and calls it: "The Lord is my banner”. "In the beginning"... with these words the Bible begins the story of the great mystery of the origins of time, existence and the history of the Universe. It also contains the proclamation of the Word of God, invisible and omnipotent, creator of heaven and earth, who turns once more to his people with the promise of the salvation which man has awaited since the moment of his creation and of his first sin...This is the subject of the "most widely-read book in the world" from which, in thirty-nine episodes, we evoke characters and events so that young people of the new generations can appreciate the richness of this great treasure.

Moses parts the Red Sea - Animation!

03:03
Moses parts the Red Sea - Animation About Moses Moses (Hebrew: מֹשֶׁה‎, Modern Moshe Tiberian Mōšéh ISO 259-3 Moše ; Syriac: ܡܘܫܐ Moushe; Arabic: موسى‎ Mūsā ) was, according to the Hebrew Bible, the Qur'an, and Baha'i scripture, a former Egyptian prince and warrior,[citation needed] later turned religious leader, lawgiver, and prophet, to whom the authorship of the Torah is traditionally attributed. Also called Moshe Rabbenu in Hebrew (מֹשֶׁה רַבֵּנוּ, Lit. "Moses our Teacher/Rabbi"), he is the most important prophet in Judaism.[1][2] He is also an important prophet in Christianity and Islam, as well as a number of other faiths. The existence of Moses as well as the veracity of the Exodus story are disputed among archaeologists and Egyptologists, with experts in the field of biblical criticism citing logical inconsistencies, new archaeological evidence, historical evidence, and related origin myths in Canaanite culture.[3][4][5] Other historians maintain that the biographical details and Egyptian background attributed to Moses imply the existence of a historical political and religious leader who was involved in the consolidation of the Hebrew tribes in Canaan towards the end of the Bronze Age. According to the Book of Exodus, Moses was born in a time when his people, the Children of Israel, were increasing in numbers and the Egyptian Pharaoh was worried that they might ally with Egypt's enemies. Moses' Hebrew mother, Jochebed, secretly hid him when the Pharaoh ordered all newborn Hebrew boys to be killed upon the circulating prophecy among Egyptian priests of a messianic deliverer among the Hebrew slaves. Through the Pharaoh's sister Queen Bithia, the child was adopted as a foundling from the Nile river and grew up with the Egyptian royal family. After killing an Egyptian slavemaster, Moses fled across the Red Sea to Midian, where he encountered the God of Israel in the form of a "burning bush". God sent Moses back to Egypt to demand the release of the Israelites from slavery. After the Ten Plagues, Moses led the Exodus of the Israelites out of Egypt and across the Red Sea, after which they based themselves at Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments. After 40 years of wandering in the desert, Moses died within sight of the Promised Land. Rabbinical Judaism calculated a lifespan of Moses corresponding to 1391--1271 BCE;[6] Jerome gives 1592 BCE, and Ussher 1619 BCE as his birth year.[7] The biblical text explains the name Mošeh משה as a derivation of the root mšh משה "to draw", in Exodus 2:10: "she called his name Moses (משה): and she said, Because I drew him (משיתהו) out of the water." (KJV).[8] The name is thus suggested to relate to drawing out in a passive sense, "the one who was drawn out". Those who depart from this tradition derive the name from the same root but in an active sense, "he who draws out", in the sense of "saviour, deliverer".[9] The form of the name as recorded in the Masoretic text is indeed the expected form of the Biblical Hebrew active participle.[10] Josephus argued for an Egyptian etymology, and some scholarly suggestions have followed this in deriving the name from Coptic terms mo "water" and `uses "save, deliver", suggesting a meaning "saved from the water".[11] Another suggestion has connected the name with the Egyptian ms, as found in Tuth-mose and Ra-messes, meaning "born" or "child".[8][12]

Exodus of Moses at Red Sea - The Real Mount Sinai :: Part 3 of 6
