How To Learn Fashion Designing At Home-How to become a successful fashion designer

00:30
visit======http://bit.ly/2pp3HVh How To Learn Fashion Designing At Home You need below things: Fashion Illustration Text Book Sketch pads Drawing tools Flat Pattern Text Book Fairgate Fashion Design Tool Kit Draping Text book Sewing Book A Multi-stitch sewing machine Serger If you're thinking of showing people your fashion drawings, think how you would look in your fashion drawings. Develop a good logo if running your own fashion label. It will define your style from the outset and so it needs to be good from the outset. It is worth getting a professional graphic designer on the job if you're no good at this yourself. Learn early on how to pack a decent lunch and snacks. Hours can be very long in fashion design and sometimes leaving your creativity zone may be impossible. Your brain needs good nutrition though, so by remembering to pack healthy lunches and snacks, you can grab something to sustain all that hard intellectual slog and physical running around without starving yourself silly. Internships and hands on practical work experience in all departments of business under small or established fashion designers will help a lot to learn tricks of the trade before you start your own fashion label. You also need sound advice on everything from the beginning. Surround yourself by a trusted team of financial, legal and marketing advisers, they can be your friends/family members or professionals paid according to what you need rather than having them on staff. Read widely. Find the biographies and true stories of fashion icons in the area of fashion that you're interested in. Learn all of the ins and outs of their experiences and see how you can use their experience to better your own. For example, if you want to shift into eco fashion, there are plenty of good trailblazer designers whose experiences have been documented, such as Toms founder Blake Mycoskie's book Start Something That Matters or any of Anita Roddick's books about the related but relevant beauty industry. Design all the time, as a way of getting further inspiration and also showing your progression. This will help potential employers see how you have learned and developed. Wear your own fashions as much as possible. What better way to promote your clothing than to wear it? When people ask questions about it, be ready to explain everything in short, pithy ways that excite the listener. It helps to be creative with your designs by adding color. Be able to take insults. Nobody is perfect. Take advice from friends and family. Never give up, you can't quit your passion! Concentrate on yourself. Don't be jealous of others. You should take advice from them. Do what you can do. Do not do what others do, just listen to your heart. Write down critiques you get so you can look over them and make better designs in the future. If you're planning to launch your own fashion line instead of designing for an existing one, start out online with your own online shop. You can then spread your designs across sites like the ASOS marketplace (where budding designers sell their creations) and Etsy.com (where people sell handmade goods such as clothes, jewelery, candles and artwork). Be careful with pins and needles. source:http://www.wikihow.com/Become-a-Fashion-Designer Channel link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC40LLKVtwOrIfhBWeLt_kAQ face book link: https://web.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100016009572233 Twitter :https://twitter.com/lisahoward19970?lang=en blog link: http://beprofessionalfashiondesigner.blogspot.com/ stumble upon: http://www.stumbleupon.com/stumbler/lhoward75 tumbler link:https://www.tumblr.com/blog/lovesupercollectorkittyblog reddit link :https://www.reddit.com/user/LisaHoward123/ How To Learn Fashion Designing At Home How To Learn Fashion Designing At Home --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- keywords: how to draw like a fashion designer, how to become a successful fashion designer, fashion designer qualifications, how to become a fashion designer at 13, online fashion designing, how to learn fashion designing at home, how to design clothes at home, how to learn fashion designing sketches, what is fashion designing course, fashion designer qualifications, salary for a fashion designer, what subjects are needed to become a fashion designer, fashion design careers, fashion designer course

How designers turn inspiration into fashion collections

05:11
How designers turn inspiration into fashion collections: In my previous videos, we talked about how to create a fashion collection. We will do more exercises now to better understand the steps of any collection. Apart from the text part of any documentation - the phase when you read a lot about the topic you are interested in- there is the visual documentation. In this case, I took another image from a book of mine and use it as a starting point for some sketches. How to actually get inspired by an image? Try to decompose the image into elements. See what are the definitory elements that compose the image. In this case, you could use elements like: the pattern with stripes, the color, the sleeves and the lower part of the costume, the structures you see in the area of eyes and those elements near the ears. Use them separately, combine them, use them as modules: big or small, rotate them and so on.I used the shapes near the ears and I placed them in the center of my costume. I imagined those shapes will have holes inside, so that you can see the skin or the layers of my costume. You can use the elements and place them in other parts of your costume. For example, some sleeves could become scarfs or you could undo them and sew them again in stripes to create a rhythm to your future garment. If you used a lot of volume for the upper part of your costume, try to simplify the rest, there is no need to over-work the whole costume. As about the drawing style, use details and a black marker to add the contrast here and there, where you feel the need. For the second drawing, turn the page upside down and get inspired. Even if the elements are the same, they position will inspire you to see even more in the photo, to discover inspiration there where you did not know it exist. See how used the "let's say glasses" from my source of inspiration and used them as earrings.Mix the elements and play with them in unusual combinations. When sketching, there is no need to think of the human body. You can draw it only when it helps, if not, the costume will be enough. Use simple lines and add color because this will help you visualize the outfit. Also, write down your ideas regarding the colors or textures to be used in the final work. And now sit back and see how I used another image to finish my small collection inspired by African art.As I previously mentioned, try to really sketch after the photos I used and send me your collection by email. My email is: [email protected] Waiting for your sketches and I will come back with a feed-back.Thank you and please don't forget to subscribe if you liked my video.

How to do fashion sketches step by step

06:34
I'm Ioana Avram, fashion designer. Welcome to my Fashion teaching channel where you will find design videos starting from basic, easy level ( for beginners ) until advanced level. Follow my advices regarding the hand draw: anatomy studies, fashion poses, figures and croquis, learn about style and craft, fabrics and how to create garments. I love painting and sketching, I like fabrics and fashion magazines and especially pencil, ink and watercolor technique. I believe anyone can draw after practicing a while because all you need is work, work, work and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. :) I made this channel to prove that it's ok to have talent, but not necessary. Through my one of a kind technique you will see how easy it will be to draw from now on. You will learn more about fashion and everything related to it: composition, shading, textures, different techniques and especially learn how to draw fashion sketches all by yourself. I will post new videos each Thursday so don't forget to subscribe. I will do my best to answer all comments. Ask anything you want, and feel free to leave any suggestions for future videos! All are taken into consideration. For more info visit my website fashion-teaching.com. Thank you and take care! FAQ: 1. What materials do you use for your drawings? ****************************************************** I use Toison d'Or or Koh-I-Noor pencils ( from 4B to 8B), Copic markers, Derwent coloured pencils, Canson paper or Fabriano paper, Factis eraser, metal pencil sharper and Winsor and Newton watercolors and ink. 2. Did you go to any art school or academy? ****************************************************** Yes, I studied design and fashion design ( for 4 years) at the University of Arts and Design in Cluj, Romania, Europe. I had a scholarship in Katowice, Poland and another one in Coburg, Germany and a course attended with Gary Tu - a well-known fashion illustrator from Taipei, Taiwan. 3.Where do you get your inspiration? ****************************************************** Basically I am very interested in any image and text that could grab my attention: fashion albums, history of art, books I read, movies I see...In fact, i will share below all my sources of inspiration. Find all my inspirational folders here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/397137153755499/photos/ 4. Do you have any links or books you can recommend? ****************************************************** Definitely I would recommend Gottfried Bammes' Anatomy, Barcsay's Anatomy and David Downton's illustrations that you will find here: http://www.daviddownton.com/ and here: http://instagram.com/daviddownton 5. How long have you been drawing? ****************************************************** 30 years ago some desperate parents interdicted their 3 years old child to use pencils to draw on their house's inner walls :). Due to this, and to the fact that all pencils, brushes and markers were forbidden, the child found another way to express: all chocolate received was hidden and used to "decorate" the walls when all other tools were not available.30 years later, here I am, willing to tell a story on every wall there is. Not with chocolate, like I used to :), but in watercolors, as you can find on my shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/bijuterra. Thank you, and hope to enjoy my illustrations and videos from your comfortable armchair, having a cup of warm milk in your hand and smiling. 6. How can I send my drawing to you? ****************************************************** For any personal advice you can send me your illustrations or questions here: [email protected] and I will reply. Thank you! 7. Will Artificial Intelligence Replace Fashion Designers? [Amazon, Stitch Fix, Myntra]

07:12
Every time I visit any Fashion events, this has been one of the topics that often come up. Can Artificial Intelligence AI replace fashion designers? Fashion designer thinks it can not but tech folks say it can be done. So I started researching into what has been done and found 3 great examples for you. I want to give you a glimpse of what Amazon, Stitch Fix, and Myntra have been doing and using AI to design clothes. *************** Amazon: AI fashion designer *************** The effort points to ways in which Amazon and other companies could try to improve the tracking of trends in other areas of retail—making recommendations based on products popping up in social-media posts, for instance. And it could help the company expand its clothing business * “There’s been a whole move from companies like Amazon trying to understand how fashion develops in the world,” says Kavita Bala, a professor at Cornell University who took part in a workshop on machine learning and fashion organized by Amazon last week. A number of forward-thinking retailers are already using social networks like Instagram and Pinterest to track the latest fashion trends and react quickly. An Amazon team at Lab126, a research center based in San Francisco, has developed an algorithm that learns about a particular style of fashion from images, and can then generate new items in similar styles from scratch—essentially, a simple AI fashion designer. This work uses a cutting-edge tool called a generative adversarial network, or GAN. It consists of two deep neural networks operating in tandem to learn efficiently from raw data. The GAN internalizes the properties of a particular style simply by looking at lots of examples, and it can then apply that style to an existing item of clothing. *************** Stitch Fix *************** The in-house brand of subscription fashion startup Stitch Fix, Hybrid Designs employs a data science team that works with the company’s order data to predict which clothes customers will want to wear. The team identifies viable gaps in the company’s inventory—clothes that people would buy but a designer hasn’t made yet, says Stitch Fix chief algorithm officer Eric Colson. It works like this: A collection of three algorithms generate a starting point. The first algorithm picks three “parents,” recommended pieces of clothing that could be either combined or used as a template for a new piece. The second suggests three different attributes that have been shown to complement the parents’ style—maybe a different neckline or sleeves. And the third throws in a little bit of randomness, a suggestion that isn’t typical for the previously suggested style but might be interesting. Together, these algorithms search through a space of 30 trillion potential combinations of, for example, blouse attributes, to ultimately give just nine suggestions. *************** Myntra - Moda Rapido *************** Algorithms that would get their machines to produce images of T-shirts based on the discovered favorable attributes. It turned out that one category of the machine-created designs outsold the comparable category in each of the other 12 private brands owned by Myntra. Some of the other machine-created designs sold poorly, but the company knew they were onto something really big. “The core of the Rapid idea was to do fast fashion in an intelligent way, given that we have both a tech and a fashion DNA,” said Kenghe. “In the initial phase of the project, there was less machine and more designer-input. Over a period of time, there’s been more machine and less supervision.” Here&Now & Moda Rapido: By September, Moda Rapido and Here&Now were together bringing in sales of Rs12-13 crore every month, making them among the top 15 brands at Myntra. The two contribute 12.5% of Myntra’s private brand's sales, said, Narayanan. Moda Rapido and Here&Now are Myntra’s most profitable brands, **************** Other Videos You Might Like: **************** 13 Areas Artificial Intelligence will affect Fashion Industry https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9Lp51oiCTo What is Artificial Intelligence? Nice to meet you, I’m Heidi. I teach fashion designers like you the real world skills you *actually* need to learn to succeed in this cutthroat industry. (You know, all the stuff you don’t learn at fashion school.) I’ve worked as a contract designer for over a decade and run SuccessfulFashionDesigner.com. I’ve been able to make a healthy living doing work I love in fashion. But I got started just like you, one step at a time. It began with some embarrassing hand sewn dresses and fashion sketches that would make a 3-year-old’s artwork look like a masterpiece. Then, things changed. I learned how design was done on a large scale. I learned how to get things into production. And I learned all the skills I wish I knew when I was first starting out. Now, I dedicate most of my time teaching you all of that. Karl Lagerfeld - German fashion designer and icon | DW Documentary

42:26
The German-born designer Karl Lagerfeld has died at the age of 85. He was a designer, an artist and a fashion icon. For this sad occasion we recommend a portrait DW made in 2014. No living fashion designer, let alone a German one, was as celebrated as Karl Lagerfeld. On September 10, 2018 the man with the trademark ponytail and sunglasses celebrated his 85th birthday. From dawn to late morning, Karl Lagerfeld designs for Chanel, Fendi and his own signature brand - a combined workload of up to 15 collections a year. A workhorse who never takes breaks or even a vacation, he is also a photographer and filmmaker. His passion for fashion was awakened by a Dior show in Hamburg in 1950. Four years later, at the age of 17, Karl Lagerfeld was hired as an assistant to Pierre Balmain. Karl Lagerfeld recounts his beginnings in the industry, as well as his upper class background and childhood in Schleswig-Holstein. Karl Lagerfeld was greatly influenced by his mother, whom he describes as his personal style icon. Karl Lagerfeld's caustic comments were notorious and dreaded by those at the receiving end. As an artist, Karl Lagerfeld worked in several media, from pictures and photographs to book illustrations and videos. The documentary of 2015 follows Karl Lagerfeld to exhibition openings, during the hectic preparations for his fashion shows, and at photo shoots in Paris as it seeks to uncover the man behind the mask. _______ DW Documentary gives you knowledge beyond the headlines. How to Add Patterns to Clothing in Photoshop

23:32
I Guarantee I Can Teach You to Master Photoshop. Learn How: https://phlearn.com/aaronwillteachyou Scale Pattern into Place Start by scaling and rotating the pattern into place. In this example, we also invert the pattern to change colors by pressing CTRL/CMD + I. Make sure to make the pattern a bit larger than the piece of clothing so it can be warped into place. Use the Pen Tool to Cut Out Clothing It is important to have an accurate cut out of the clothing, so the pattern looks seamless. In this example, we use the Pen Tool to cut out the original shirt. Create a pen path around the clothing by clicking and dragging to create curves. After completing the pen path, right-click and turn it into a selection and feather the edge by 0.5 pixels. Next, load the selection as a layer mask for the pattern, making it only visible where the original piece of clothing is. Liquify the Pattern to Fit the Clothing To make the pattern look like it flows with the fabric, it must be warped into place. Use the liquify tool to bring in the edges of the pattern, making it look like the pattern wraps around the piece of clothing. To re-create folds of fabric, use the freeze mask tool to paint over one-half of the fold. Then use the forward warp tool to push the pattern under the freeze mask. If done correctly, it will look like the original pattern curves around the folds of fabric. Add Highlights and Shadows from Original Photo The last step is to blend the pattern into the original image. In this example, we change the blend mode to ‘Multiply’ and lower the opacity to 90%. Next, add shadows and highlights from the original piece of clothing. Duplicate the background layer and place it on top of the fabric layer. Right-click on the layer and select “create clipping mask”, then change the blend mode to ‘Multiply’. To add highlights, duplicate the background layer and clip it to the fabric, just like the previous layer. This time set the blend mode to ‘Screen’. If needed, adjust the brightness of this layer by using a Levels adjustment - CTRL/CMD + L. Drag the black point slider to the right until the layer only appears over the highlights.
