MAKE A PRAYER REQUEST HERE And I Will PRAY & LIGHT A Candle For You!! CATHOLICS & OTHER CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE ALL UNITED IN PRAYERS. SUBSCRIBE TO OUR CHANNEL & LET US SHOW THE WORLD THAT WE ARE ONE IN OUR FAITH. AN IMPORTANT REMINDER: WE ASK YOU PLEASE NOT TO POST THE SAME PRAYER REQUEST MORE THAN ONCE ON ANY GIVEN DAY OR TIME!!! Lighting a candle for a particular purpose or intention is practiced worldwide from people of all walks of life, varied spiritual leanings, and a diverse array of religions. Lighting a candle symbolizes bringing light to our wishes or desires. A candle can be lit as a prayer for peace or a request for healing. Would you like us to pray for you or your loved ones? Please feel free to share your prayer requests with us and we will PRAY them for you. Prayer is a beautiful, as well as essential, way to ask for Our Lord’s help and blessings. Even when God doesn’t answer our prayers as we’d like, He gives us the grace to cope with our problems and tragedies better in any case. Don’t think that any request is too small! Our Lord Himself said “ask, and you shall receive” (John 16:24). Your requests become that much more powerful when others are praying for you as well. Also, it is a truly divine form of charity to pray for others, especially for those most in need! As Pope Gregory the Great once wrote “He causes his prayers to be of more avail to himself who offers them also for others.” In other words, as our Lord said in Luke’s Gospel “Give and it shall be given to you” (Luke 6:38). And, as a popular saying goes “God cannot be outdone in generosity!” “Pray for one another, that you may be healed” (James 5:16) YOUR $1.00 DONATION IS A BIG HELP TO OUR PRAYER WARRIOR COMMUNITY. WE LIFT UP YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT TO THE LORD JESUS. THREE DAYS OF PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF CANDLES - DAY 01

THREE DAYS OF PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF CANDLES - DAY 01 CATHOLICS ALL OVER THE WORLD. LET US SHOW THEM THAT WE ARE ONE IN FAITH BY SUBSCRIBING TO OUR CHANNEL. https://tinyurl.com/prayunceasingly Our Lady of the Candles (15th Century) When white men came to the Canary Islands for the first time, the natives presented them with a mystery that no one has ever solved, even to this day - the presence on the islands of a statue of Our Lady! The natives had discovered the statue of Our Lady of the Candles in the year 1400, as it had been found in a cave by two shepherds who had entered the cave seeking refuge from a storm. Neither of them had ever seen a statue before, and so thought it was a living being. The sheep would not enter the cave, seemingly out of fear of the statue, so at first the two shepherds motioned for the stranger to go away. When the statue did not move or respond, one of the men picked up a rock to throw at it. Instantly his arms stiffened so that he could not move, and his arms began to throb in pain. The other shepherd moved in close to the statue, and although it seemed to watch him, yet still it neither moved nor spoke. Puzzled, he took out his knife and tried to cut its finger - but instead of marking the statue, his own finger received the wound he had attempted to inflict, and then began to bleed profusely! Terrified, the two men fled the scene, leaving their sheep and everything else behind them. The men reported what had happened to their chief, relating their belief that a great god lived in the cave. The chief commanded them to bring this being to him. Overcoming their fear, the two shepherds returned to the cave and found the statue had not moved. When the first of them reached out to take hold of it, as soon as he had touched the statue he found his finger was instantly healed of the wound he had received. The men reverently carried the statue to a house where their chief directed and tried to show it honor in the best way they knew how. A few nights later they were surprised to hear beautiful music, and to see strange beings, all glowing and alight, setting candles around the strange “god” and lighting them. The natives had never seen candles. A special house was built for the statue, and for fifty years there was beautiful music, light, and a lovely fragrance surrounding the statue that no one could explain. The natives made offerings of fruit and flowers, and noted that the light “beings” kept the candles burning around the crude altar. Christians who had recently arrived and lived on a nearby island, recognized whom the statue must represent. At first, they begged the natives of Tenerife to let them have it, though the pagan natives refused, claiming she had brought them good fortune. The Christians decided to steal the statue of Our Lady of the Candles, feeling it was only proper that it should be in Christian hands. They succeeded in their plan, and brought the statue to their church, setting it on the high altar and surrounding it with burning candles. Returning in the morning, they found that the statue had turned its back to the congregation, and no amount of pulling could get it turned to the front again. A serious sickness then invaded the island, and, repentant and frightened, the Christians took the statue back. Not surprisingly, devotion to Our Lady of the Candles spread rapidly through Spanish countries to South America and the Philippines. The original statue of Our Lady of the Candles was made of heavy reddish wood, which had never been identified. It is 3 ½ feet high. The eyes of the statue seem to follow the beholder, and the color of the cheeks sometimes changes. The hair is uncovered, golden and worn in braids. The Babe has a golden bird in its hands. Our Lady holds a candle in her hand. *from The Woman in Orbit SUPPORT OUR PRAYER SPONSOR: https://go.onclasrv.com/afu.php?zoneid=1846519 HELP OUR PRAYER WARRIORS RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT THEIR DAILY PRAYER LIVES. How to Light the Hanukkah Menorah

03:00
Watch more Happy Hanukkah videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/78999-How-to-Light-the-Hanukkah-Menorah According to Jewish tradition, after the Maccabees’ victory over the Greeks, there was only enough oil to burn for one day in the Temple. Miraculously the oil burned for eight days. Lighting the Hanukkah menorah commemorates this miracle. Step 1: Position your menorah Position your menorah. Place the menorah in or near a window facing the street on the left side of your home, as you face the entrance from outside. Tip Placing a menorah in a window for passerbys to see fulfills the commandment to publicize the miracle. Step 2: Put a candle in the holder At nightfall, on the first evening of the Hanukkah holiday, put a candle into the holder at the far right of the menorah as you face it. Step 3: Light the shamash Light the shamash, the candle used to light the others, and recite the three Hanukkah blessings. Tip Never use the Hanukkah candles to light each other. Step 4: Light the first candle Light the first candle and place the still-lit shamash in its holder, which is usually above or below the other candles. Step 5: Pray After lighting the first candle, recite or chant the Hanerot Halalu prayer. Tip At this point, many people sing Maoz Tsur or other appropriate Hanukkah songs. Step 6: Let the candle burn Let the candles burn for at least 30 minutes. Step 7: Continue lighting candles On the second through eighth nights, add a candle to the left of the previous one and repeat the process, lighting the newer candle first and moving right. Eliminate the first candle blessing. Step 8: On Fridays, light the menorah first On Friday nights, always light the Hanukkah candles before the Shabbat candles. Light the menorah before sunset. Did You Know? Since oil is so important to the holiday, Hanukkah foods are often fried.

Advent Wreath Prayer HD

03:14
The following are the Advent wreath prayers that change every week. They are prayed at the lighting of each candle every day during Advent. Week One: The first candle is lit, and the prayer for the first week is said. Priest: Let us pray. Stir up Thy might, we beg Thee, O Lord, and come, so that we may escape through Thy protection and be saved by Thy help from the dangers that threaten us because of our sins. Who livest and reignest for ever and ever. All: Amen. During the first week one candle is left burning during the evening meal, at prayers or at bedtime. Week Two: Two candles are lit on the second Sunday and allowed to burn as before. The prayer for the week is: Priest: Let us pray. O Lord, stir up our hearts that we may prepare for Thy only begotten Son, that through His coming we may be made worthy to serve Thee with pure souls. Through the same Christ our Lord. All: Amen. Week Three: Three candles, including the rose candle, are lit on Gaudete, the third Sunday, and during that week. The following prayer is said: Priest: Let us pray. We humbly beg Thee, O Lord, to listen to our prayers; and by the grace of Thy coming bring light into our darkened minds. Who livest and reignest for ever and ever. All: Amen. Week Four: All four candles are lit on the fourth Sunday and allowed to burn as before. The prayer said the fourth week is: Priest: Let us pray. Stir up Thy might, we pray Thee, O Lord, and come; rescue us through Thy great strength so that salvation, which has been hindered by our sins, may be hastened by the grace of Thy gentle mercy. Who livest and reignest for ever and ever. All: Amen. Support Catholic Online by Subscribing to our Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/catholiconl... The Christ Candle - Advent Prayer Series

01:38
Let us rejoice, for Christ is born!  In some churches, a white candle is placed in the center of the Advent wreath and lit on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. The white candle represents Jesus’ pure, eternal light and is a beautiful promise that His light will never flicker, fade, or extinguish.  “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given…And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Let us pray with wonder and amazement: (St. Augustine of Hippo, AD 354-440) Let the just rejoice, for their justifier is born. Let the sick and infirm rejoice, For their savior is born. Let the captives rejoice, For their Redeemer is born. Let slaves rejoice, for their Master is born. Let free men rejoice, For their Liberator is born. D3s Movie - Candle Light Prayer @ 12,800 then 102,400 ISO

00:21
D3s 85mm f/1.4 12,800 ISO iMovie I used iMovie 09 to trim and title this movie. Then a super simple "export to HD" and it is done. I had Allison sitting near the candle. The idea was to have her blow it out and the scene go dark. BUT I screwed up. I forgot to AE-Lock the video. As she blows out the flame, the D3s starts to re-calibrate the exposure to expose for the stray porch light coming through my back window. (I thought I had got it all blacked out.) So what you are seeing is 12,800 ISO when the candle is lit, then as Alison blows out the candle, the D3s adjusts the ISO to the new lighting (because I had set it that way and didn't lock it down to NOT adjust) and selects 102,400 ISO for the couple of seconds the scene is dark. Then as the candle is re-lit the D3s re-sets the ISO back to 12,800. I screw-up, but a cool one. I kinda like it this way.

*~~5 Minutes of Candle Light for Prayer, Meditation, Peace, Relaxation~~*

05:01
5 minutes of beautiful, steady candle light for relaxation, prayer, peace, meditation, atmosphere, inspiration.... This video is inspired by a dear family friend, who is in the hospital now, and may not come back out. I wanted to light a candle in her honor, since I can't be with her in person, and it occured to me as I was doing it, that maybe others on youtube feel the same. Maybe, even, that others watching youtube might not have access to candles to light for family and friends. And so, if that's the case (or even if it isn't), you're welcome to share mine. :) Peace and health and happiness to you all. Let me know what you think of this video... if you like it, I'd be glad to make more.
