Types of restaurant

11:58
Various types of restaurant fall into several industry classifications based upon menu style, preparation methods and pricing. Additionally, how the food is served to the customer helps to determine the classification. Historically, restaurant referred only to places that provided tables where one sat down to eat the meal, typically served by a waiter. Following the rise of fast food and take-out restaurants, a retronym for the older "standard" restaurant was created, sit-down restaurant. Most commonly, "sit-down restaurant" refers to a casual dining restaurant with table service, rather than a fast food restaurant or a diner, where one orders food at a counter. Sit-down restaurants are often further categorized, in North America, as "family-style" or "formal". This video is targeted to blind users. Bình Minh is a very popular family-style restaurant in Nha Trang, serving yummy comfort foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We ate some delicious sour soup with Cobia fish, sweet and sour pork ribs, fried egg with minced pork, pickled bean sprouts, all with 4 types of dipping sauces! The dishes were delicious and all very affordable, in a relaxed family-owned restaurant, so we felt right at home. All this food for 2 people, plus drinks, came out to be 222,000 VND ($9.70 USD)! Family Meal: Korean BBQ

01:11
Tips and tricks for hosting your own Korean barbecue. Get inspired: http://chfstps.co/1DBYWTt Our favorite thing about Korean barbecue? It's all about community. In this colorful, casual tradition, family and friends gather 'round an open grill and cook together—each diner preparing his or her own food, bite by bite. Meals often last for two or three hours, beginning with a salad, and culminating with a plethora of marinated meats, sauces, sides (called banchan), and various other offerings depending on the restaurant or host. Seasoned diners tend to coach newbies on the procedure and etiquette around Korean barbecue, passing traditions on from person to person. For a recent ChefSteps family meal, software engineer Huy Nguyen and development chef Nick Gavin decided to show the rest of team the ropes. They used a binchotan (a tiny Japanese charcoal grill) instead of the traditional table-set grill for cooking, and served up tons of tasty banchan and sauces. Read on for their tips for throwing your own Korean barbecue, and remember, when putting together a spread, you can always mix it up and add your own flare. 5 Must-Try Japanese Food Experiences in Tokyo

14:39
Japanese Food is awesome, and the overall dining experience is just as fun. If you are looking for places to eat in Tokyo, here are five great Japanese food experiences that I love while living in Tokyo. 1. Japanese Grill (Robata) - You sit around a few men who cook all of the meat and vegetables right in front of you on a grill. You just point to what you want and they grab it with their giant wooden spatulas. 2. Ramen - My favorite Japanese food, and perhaps the most well recognized Japanese dish apart from sushi. There are hundreds of places to choose from in Tokyo, each with their own rendition of the classic. One spot where you can get a large variety of options is on "Ramen Street" in the lower level of Tokyo Station. 3. Yakitori - Meat and veggies on sticks, cooked over a similar grill as the Robata, Yakitori is a favorite among Tokyo residents because it's fast and goes great with beer. The most famous area for Yakitori in Tokyo is down "Memory Lane" or "Piss Alley" just outside the Shinjuku Train Station. 4. Chanko Nabe - The ultimate in gluttony for a normal civilian, but a necessary bulking strategy for up-and-coming sumo wresters in the Ryogoku neighborhood of Tokyo. There are many different versions of this massive stew, and they are all aggressive and delicious. 5. Conveyor Belt Sushi - As I mention in the video, there are a million different ways sushi is served in Tokyo. One of the most fun methods is by way of the conveyor belt sushi. *Bonus* - Convenient stores such as FamilyMart, Lawson's, and 7 Eleven are a major part of Japanese Food culture in Tokyo. Read our Free Tutorial on Chinese Food and Beverage Service Style from here https://www.hospitality-school.com/food-beverage-service-types-restaurant/#chinese-food-beverage-service and watch from here: https://youtu.be/yIWJbGCLOUk/ TABLE OF CONTENT FOR CHINESE FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE STYLE: 0:35 WHAT IS CHINESE FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE STYLE = The concept of Chinese service is derived from Chinese families and was formalized for special occasions. This service is quite traditional and often customized on the basis of nature of the foods. 0:49 FEATURES OF CHINESE FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE STYLE = Chinese service includes certain unique characteristics which make it traditional and sophisticated service which you find in the next slide: 1- Chopsticks are served with all foods, except soup and dessert spoons. 2- Foods are presented and served attractively into dishes and brought to the table so that guests can choose food according to their taste. 3-Chinese service is less labor intensive but the amount of serviceware is quite extensive since foods are served in individual dishes. 1:32 = CHINESE TABLE SETTING PROCEDURE = In Chinese service, tables setting procedure is different from others service in the following way: 1. In most cases, a circular wheel is placed in the table center so guests can rotate it and share food. Otherwise, for large groups a small plate (about six inches wide) is placed in the center cover. 2. A rice bowl along with a cup of rice is placed to the right side and a small cup of tea is set slightly on top of the rice bowl or slightly to the left above the center plate. 3. Chopsticks are placed on the right side of the guest keeping on a small stand. Sometimes a long handled, round spoon and bowl may be served to the left of the chopsticks. 4. Spoon and forks are also served for those guests who find it difficult to eat with chopsticks. 3:05 CHINESE FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVING PROCEDURE = 1. Foods are elaborately dished on platters and served in the center of the table and then Guests help themselves to select their own food. 2. When guests complete their meal, the servers should remove the empty dish and replace it with a fresh one. 3:43 SOME COMMON CHINESE FOOD & BEVERAGE DINING ETIQUETTE = Most Chinese people maintain Chinese customs and table manners while availing Chinese service. Such as: 1: If the senior most person will not seat or start eating then other guests will not seat or start eating. 2: The proper way to eat food from bowl is to pick up the bowl, bend over the table, and then start eating facing the bowl. So all in all, through this video, https://youtu.be/yIWJbGCLOUk/ , you will get a very good overview on Chinese food & beverage service style. 43 MISTAKES YOU HAVE TO STOP MAKING

08:54
How to correct your mistakes and behave better! All of us make mistakes when it comes to eating or behaving in certain ways. Sometimes we do it out of habit or because we believe that's the correct way to do it and other times because we might be inconsiderate without realizing it. So, in this video, we have a list of things that you are doing wrong and how to correct them. In addition, we also share with you some tips to help you rock the Savoir Vivre and understand good manners. - Eating the ice-cubes after you finished a drink - You should finish your drink and let the ice-cubes sit at the bottom instead of trying to get every last drop of it. - Not removing your tea bag from your tea. - Let you teabag brew for a couple of minutes (tea bags always have instruction on how long each tea needs to brew), then remove the tea bag and place it on the side of your plate. - Eating your spaghetti with just a fork. - You should always use both a fork and a spoon when eating spaghetti to make sure all of it goes on to the fork and prevent any of the falling out, or on your shirt. - Filling your wine glass. - When it comes to drinking wine, you should always fill the glass right below the middle to allow room for the wine to breath inside the glass. - Crossing your legs - When it comes to going to interview crossing your legs can be interpreted into being closed and not wanting to communicate. In addition, it is not considered very kind by many people. So if you want to cross them for comfort, just cross your feet. - Having your phone on the table. - Whether this is a job interview or a coffee with friends or family, you should always keep your phone tucked away in your bag. It is considered rude to have your phone out as it might make people think that you'd rather not talk to them be destructed with your phone. - Bitting a slice of bread. - It is more kind and an indication of good manners to cut a slice off your bread and then bite it. - Re-touching your makeup on the table or in public. - It is more polite to re-touch your makeup in the bathroom instead of public places, not everyone will like that at the table. - Not wiping your lips before drinking. - We've seen this everyone and it's not the best look to see lipstick stains on wine glasses. In order to avoid that simply wipe your lipstick using a paper towel and then drink. Watch our whole video to discover many more amazing hacks on how to correct things you are doing wrong. We demonstrate many more ways to behave at the table as well as things that you should stop doing all together which can spoil your time with your friends. Italian Food - AMAZING ROMAN FOOD and Attractions in Rome, Italy!

29:20
Join me on this incredible Italian food tour in Rome! ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Watch the full series playlist: https://goo.gl/179qoF ►Camera gear I use: https://goo.gl/68UlWd Day 14 on our Round The World Trip for Food: Rome, Italy - On our very first day in Rome, we set off early in the morning to see some of the most famous attractions in Rome, including the Colosseum and the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. After doing some more sightseeing and having lunch, we had an amazing Roman food at a restaurant in Rome called Trattoria Dal Cavalier Gino. 00:37 Breakfast at the hotel - To begin the day of sightseeing in Rome, we had breakfast at the hotel, and did the final planning of the day. 2:12 Colosseum - One of the most important and well recognized attractions in Rome is the Colosseum and we arrived pretty early to get in, and I also had pre-purchased my tickets online to attempt to beat the crowds and not have to waste time waiting in line. It worked well, and as soon as the Colosseum opened, we went through security and got in. It was an amazing sight to see, especially because it was so quiet when we arrived. 3:51 Roman Forum and Palatine Hill - Locate in the same area as the Colosseum is the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, and so that’s where we went next. Again, seeing the ancient ruins of Rome was truly spectacular. 5:48 Trattoria Luzzi - I wasn’t quite sure where to eat lunch, and located right around these famous attractions in Rome, there are a lot of expensive, and probably not so good restaurants. We decided to go check out a restaurant called Trattoria Luzzi, just down the road from the Colosseum on the opposite side of the road. I ordered Trippa Alla Romana, a Roman tripe dish and also a pasta of Amatriciana. Overall, the food was good, and it was a friendly little restaurant and the location was good. Total price - 21 EUR ($23.47). 10:31 Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano - After lunch we headed to Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano, a huge basilica in Rome. Right across the plaza is Scala Sancta, a small chapel with a 28 step staircase where Jesus is believed to have ascended. 13:25 Gelateria Valentino - I don’t know of anyone that goes to Rome without eating some gelato, and right around the Trevi fountain area of Rome, you’ll find a lot of gelato spots. We tried Gelateria Valentino. Gelato - 3 EUR ($3.35) 14:50 Trevi Fountain - Another one of the most iconic attractions in Rome is the Trevi fountain. We didn’t spend too much time there, but it is pretty cool to see in person. 16:25 Amazing Italian Roman food at Trattoria Dal Cavalier Gino Restaurant - For dinner, my wife and I met up with Valentina and Antonio. After walking through the amazing narrow lanes of Rome, we navigated our way to Trattoria Dal Cavalier Gino Restaurant, where they had made a reservation for dinner. The restaurant is exactly what you want in a classic Roman Italian food restaurant, a family style restaurant that offers an abundance of Roman dishes. We first started with some types of Roman pasta including cacio e pepe, and carbonara, all of which were incredible - the best pastas I’ve ever had. Then we moved on the an amazing assortment of main Italian food dishes, including veal, lamb, and so many other amazing dishes. It was an Italian food meal like I’ve never had before. Most of the dishes were Roman food style. Thank you Valentina and Antonio for the amazing dinner! Day 14 in Rome was an amazing day of visiting some of the most famous attractions in Rome and eating some incredibly delicious Italian food! Table Manners - Ultimate How-To Guide To Proper Dining Etiquette For Adults & Children

Shadow Stripe Ribbed Socks Light Brown and Blue - https://gentl.mn/2F6TeRR #tablemanners #diningetiquette #notsponsored Table manners are actually something your parents taught you but are actually far more important as an adult. First of all, your table manners speak volumes about your refinement and it's often interpreted as a sign of character. It's not at all about being snobby or showing off but much rather show respect, your host and your dining partners will greatly appreciate your manners. It's very important to keep in mind, proper table manners aways help you and never hurt you. The good thing is they can be learned and its never too late to do so. So what are table manners? I suggest you turn your cell phone ringer off when you enter someone else's home and put your phone in your pocket when you're with the guests. Don't leave your phone on the table because you are much more likely to pick it up and look at it which is impolite In the presence of other people. If the table is all set, you don't just walk in and sit down. Wait to be seated or wait for the queue of the host, or if they sit, you can sit as well. Ideally, want to sit up straight but comfortably, don't slouch, or cross your arms, or sit as you would on your couch while watching a football game. Don't expect to sit next to your partner and follow the lead of the hosts. Traditionally, couples were always mixed up to sit with different people. If there's a napkin on the plate or next to a plate, put it on your lap right away. If the host or hostess wants to say grace, accept the gesture for what it is and move along. Two, let's take a look at the place setting. In the Western world, an informal place will always have at least a plate, a knife, and a fork. If dessert will be served, you'll find either a little fork or a spoon on the top side of the plate. If soup is served or anything else that requires a spoon, you will also have a spoon. On the top right of the plate, you'll likely find a water glass which is always filled and a wine glass which is empty, to begin with. Sometimes you also find beer glasses; if you prefer that, if that's what's served with a meal. If you see little plate with an extra knife on a top left to your plate, that's for bread and butter. When you're done with the course, you place the fork and a knife at a four to five o'clock angle that means you're done. Three, now it's time to serve the food. Most informal dinners are family-style meaning there are bowls or platters where food is served from. For formal dinners, courses are usually plated but we talk about the intricacies of that in our formal dining etiquette video here. With bowls and anything at the table, the cardinal rule is, don't reach over anybody else and don't touch them. To start, pass the bowl around the table from the left to the right when you get the bowl you hold it and you serve yourself then you pass it on to your neighbor on the right. Always use the serving utensils and never your silverware that's on your place setting. Of course, if the host or hostess has a different idea, go with what they do. Four, finally it's time to eat. You should only start eating when everyone else has been served and a host or hostess starts to take their fork and take the lead. It is very impolite and sometimes even rude to just dig into your plate of food while the others are still empty-handed. #tablemanners #diningetiquette #notsponsored --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? Turkish Food Tour in Istanbul - BEST Kebabs of My Life, AMAZING Seafood, and Turkish Ice Cream!

32:22
►Check out my Istanbul Travel Food Guide: https://goo.gl/gRsk6W ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Camera gear I use: https://goo.gl/Vky1ke The first thing we did in the morning in Istanbul was drive over to Beşiktaş to eat an amazing Turkish food breakfast at a restaurant called Çakmak Kahvaltı Salonu. From there we took the ferry across the Bosphorus to Kadiköy, where we had an incredible Turkish seafood meal for lunch. Finally, we enjoyed some Turkish ice cream, and the show, and had the most incredible kebab I’ve ever had in my life at Zübeyir Ocakbaşı Restaurant. It was an amazing day of Turkish food in Istanbul! 1:27 Turkish breakfast at Çakmak Kahvaltı Salonu - For breakfast we headed to Beşiktaş, one of my favorite areas of Istanbul, and went to a restaurant known for serving breakfast. The breakfast was amazing, and I ate a dish of eggs with beef and butter. The side dishes were also fantastic. Total price - 29 TL ($9.73) 7:40 Boat to Kadiköy and Kadiköy Market - During our trip so far to Istanbul, we hadn’t had a chance to go to the Asian side of Istanbul. So today, we took the ferry over to Kadiköy pier on the Asian side across the Bosphorus. The views of Istanbul from the Bosphorus were stunning. On the other side, the main thing I wanted to do was explore Kadiköy Market, which was every bit as colorful as I had imagined. The fresh vegetables and seafood were fantastic, and I tried a cup of pickle juice. 1 Week Ago in Mumbai: https://goo.gl/mK6rGs 12:45 Seafood lunch at Balıkçı Lokantası Restaurant - Of all the meals I ate in Istanbul, this was one of my personal favorites, being a seafood lover. Not a far walk from the market, we went to a local family run seafood restaurant called Balıkçı Lokantası Restaurant. The owners were really friendly, and I ordered a plate of hamsi (which are anchovies), and I’m not sure of the name of the other dish, but I got Black Sea salmon braised in olive oil and butter I think with herbs and spices. It was one of the best Turkish foods I ate the entire trip to Istanbul. Wow, it was amazing. 20:50 Turkish Ice Cream - After spending some time exploring the Asian side of Istanbul, we took the ferry back to the European side, and since Istiklal Street was on our route, we stopped to have Turkish ice cream. You also see Turkish ice cream vendors playing with their customers, but when you’re the victim, it’s so confusing and funny. They have some serious skills playing with Turkish ice cream. Do you like Turkish ice cream? 23:49 Zübeyir Ocakbaşı Restaurant - For our final Turkish food meal of the day, we headed over to Zübeyir Ocakbaşı Restaurant. Ocakbaşı is a type of Turkish grill, and they served all sorts of different meat included kebabs and lamb chops in particular. We also got a bunch of side dishes and they cooked the kebabs and lamb chops right in front of us within the center of the restaurant. The kebab was the best I’ve ever had in my mouth, with an amazing mixture of minced meat and spices. Total price - 100 TL ($33.55). Philippines Street Food - AMAZING Filipino Food at Aling Sosing's Carinderia in Manila!

12:52
One of the best Filipino food meals you can eat in Manila! ►Subscribe to my channel for more food videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe Aling Sosing's is often considered to be one of the best carinderias, or local Filipino food restaurants, in all of Manila. The crowd that shows up to eat lunch here everyday reinforces the fact that they are no doubt one of the spots you want to be in Manila, if you’re a food lovers. When I was eating in Manila, eating at Aling Sosing's was certainly among the best local Filipino food restaurants that I tried. Aling Sosing's is a very typical type of local street food restaurant, sitting on the corner of a street, near to Makati. Just like most carinderias, all the food is prepared ahead of time, and sits at the front of the restaurant. When you arrive to order, you just simply pick and choose the different dishes that you want to order, find a table, and they will bring you the dishes to your table. Additionally, some of the famous dishes to eat at Aling Sosing's are off the grill, and you’ll smell the wonderful aroma of the grilling meats the entire time you’re eating, and it’s fantastic. Ying and I arrived about 11 am on a weekday, and luckily we beat the main lunch traffic, but just barely. There were tables available when we arrived, but as soon as we sat down and order it filled up. Sof if you eat at Aling Sosing's Carinderia you might want to arrive before the main lunch rush. Additionally, some of the Filipino food dishes sell out fast, and they don’t cook them again for the day - once they are sold out, they are done for the day. Here are the main Filipino dishes I ordered: Pinakbet - A stew of mixed vegetables, oftentimes flavored with shrimp paste. This was the best versions of pinakbet I’ve ever had. Inihaw na tilapia - The grilled tilapia is quite well known at this restaurant. It was simple and delicious. Inihaw na liempo - The grilled pork belly is one of their signature dishes, and it’s every bit as good and smoky as it looks. Kaldereta - A Filipino food I love so much is kaldereta, a goat stew, mainly because I love goat so much. It was oily, but really good. Adobong pusit - I saw the squid the pot and decided to try it out. It was a little on the sweet side. Pork BBQ - Fresh off the grill, Ying and I ordered some of their pork bbq. The pork was tender and lathered in bbq, it was amazing. Total price - 640 PHP ($12.90) If you’re looking for a local Filipino restaurant in Manila that I think serves some of the best Filipino food, Aling Sosing's is a restaurant you’re going to want to check out. The food is awesome, the setting and positive atmosphere is refreshing, and the constant smoke from the grill will keep your nose happy and wanting more! Dubai Food - RARE Camel Platter - WHOLE Camel w/ Rice + Eggs - Traditional Emirati Cuisine in UAE!

12:42
Dubai Food is incredibly delicious! Check out https://ExpressVPN.com/thefoodranger for 3 months free w/ 1 year pack and 49% OFF! We visited Dubai in the UAE to try some traditional Emirati Cuisine, and joined up with our friend Peyman to eat a whole camel platter with rice and eggs! ►Check out Peyman's Channel Here: http://bit.ly/PeymanSubscribe This is a traditional Emirati meal that is usually reserved for special occasions or very exclusive guests. It's not a normal Dubai Street Food, but that's why it's so good. It is an extremely rare Arab food nowadays! You have to be incredibly lucky to experience this whole camel platter! This is definitely one of the must try foods in Dubai! It is a traditional Emirati food and is one of the best things to do in Dubai. Camel meat is something that may be sensitive to some viewers, so make sure you're comfortable with watching the camel cooking! The chefs who prepared the camel recipe were originally from the South of India in Kerala, but have been living in Dubai for over 20 years. If you're thinking of traveling to Dubai for a food trip, you can't go wrong, there is so much delicious Emirati cuisine and amazing street food to try! I must admit, most of the food is in Dubai restaurants that are clean and quiet, but that is part of the charm of Dubai. First, Peyman and I checked out the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, and then made our way to the one and only Camel Restaurant, address below: Entire Camel Platter in Dubai: Zaman Awal Restaurant Address: Al Boom Village, Dubai, UAE, United Arab Emirates If you're wondering if you should eat street food in Dubai or go for regular restaurants in Dubai, I recommend mixing it up and going for both. In this food video, we are solely visiting one of the best restaurants in dubai for the whole camel plate.
