I have checked all the links in the description & corrected those that didn't work. I tried to find a good mix of one-piece vs. two-piece options so you get more inspiration. Sometimes I found a top that works but the bottom wasn't right for the body type so I left it out. It is often easier to find the right combination if you buy the top and the bottom separately ;-)
I am an hourglass shape and for me, I love everything high waisted because it draws the eye to my small waist. I saw the recommendations you gave for us ladies to have what looked like low rise bottoms. Is there a reason for that or is that just one of the options that would flatter the hourglass shape? I tend to gravitate towards retro style bathing suits with the high waist and a more structured bra like top which I think has been really flattering in highlighting my assets. I'm hoping I haven't been doing the wrong thing this whole time!
I love all your videos and every video is so informative. If you can make a video on how to make a bikini brand, please make one. Any information will be helpful like which material are best for making bikini, where to get the materials in Europe at cheaper price, what all to keep in mind before starting a brand etc.
Hi Justine! I have recommended your channel on FB, as I've found them very informative. Thank you! I am wondering if you or any of the viewers here have some thoughts on what do buy if you're a rectangle with a long torso and slightly bigger bust (not the B cup norm). Thank you kindly.
I know you posted this video a while ago, but it would be great if you can do an updated swimsuit guide for plus size women that prefer one piece suits. Many of us curvy girls, do not feel comfortable wearing two-piece suits.
Thank you but more help is needed. Looking directly at me I can see I’m square to hour glass but from the side my belly sticks out. I think you need to talk about this. The fact that hoe one looks from the side is also important. This is just looking directly at us
Hey justine , I am
85 C in European bust ,My bottoms are toned enough but i have stomach belly, what kind of bottom for bikini I should look into? The upper part i bought is quite like one you shown as hour glass figure accentuate it with leo print and i enjoy wearing it
but struggle to find lower one? Please let me know
Hello Justine! I have a question for you: do your suggestions for swimwear also apply for underwear too? I am pear-shaped and, while i watched your video for pear-shaped clothing suggestions-wich i found VERY helpful-i still can't understand what kind of underwear fits me better, especially in the bottom area. Could you give me any advice? Thank you in advance!
I don’t want to be mean, but I think that “dressing for your body type” is just another way of body-shaming.I think everyone looks good in everything.
By the way,I am pear shaped and I must buy separate bikini and bra.My bikini size is 34 and my bra size is 32.I usually wear Brazilian bikinis or High wasted bikini
This is the most useful video of your Good for You playlist because it shows what each body type looks like more than all of the other ones. Thanks to this video I've finally decided what i am between a rectangle and an inverted triangle. I'm an inverted triangle with most of the width coming from my breasts and shoulders.
So something that I find very difficult is that I have essentially no hips to speak of and my pants are always falling off. Besides wearing a belt or suspenders, is there a good way to combat this? Should I starts wearing men's pants?
Thanks for the tips, very helpful. I’m hourglass, but with broad shoulders, not a bigger bust. I’m also long waisted. It’s hard to fit body type suggestions for my figure, but I’m able to put different ideas together from this video. Thanks again!
Hi Justine! You are so talented and original. One can tell that a lot of research goes into your videos, and you present your ideas very well, in interesting new ways. I don't usually leave comments on Youtube videos (this may be my first and last comment ever) but I just think you're so deserving and thought I'd let you know that you're great! I enjoy your videos so much, keep doing what you do :) Cheers to you girl, and good luck with all your endeavours.
You're so right about the hourglass figure. It's impossible to find high waist jeans or fitted shirts. In general finding cloths that don't look like garbage bags on me is very difficult. The bikini you showed for the hourglass figure is the design I always gravitate towards to.
Wow thank you for this guide! This came at exactly the right time I kind of look exactly like the inverted triangle AKA Olympic swimmer LOL and I am tall and lean. I definitely will get that bikini that you suggested because it looks really cute and I see how it would look really really good on me. Thank you for this!
What a wonderful video. You speak at such a lovely relaxed pace and are so concise. A pleasure to listen to! It's also great how you seem genuinely respectful of all body types and that not everyone will want to look a specific way. Keep up the awesome work!
Just a note regarding bra/swimsuit styles for women with larger breasts. The fashion industry has vastly under-estimated the demand & suitability of unpadded/non-boned bra tops for women with larger breasts. Triangle bras are the most comfortable for bigger breasts and most women with bigger breasts don't want extra padding or extreme shaping which often looks artificial. The best solution is cups that have a gently shaped doublure or hidden reinforcing layer that is strong, supple & as thin as possible. Single straps shouldn't be extremely thin but don't need to be very thick either to function well. Straps that tie behind the neck aren't great because larger breasts can be quite heavy and halter straps put all the weight of both breasts at the nape of the neck. 🌼🌞🌼
I don´t think any woman with hourglass figure would willingly go for that blue boxers. Why? because your fat is predominantly stored at your hips. Anything else than bikini makes a nasty fat fold at your hips. I have hourglass figure type X which is not presented here. It is something between classic hourglass figure (type 8) and a pear. Means that my shoulders are as wide as hips but fat goes predominantly to hips, upper thighs and bottom not to boobs (means small boobs). Hips are lower than in the case of type 8 hour glass figure which means that A-line skirt is better than pencil skirt. And bikini-like bottom piece is a must. Nothing else works.
As a kid I always thought that bikinis for adults were sold seperately so they can charge a little more but now I'm so happy about that because I am an inverted triangle that needs a size S or M on bottom and a Size XL on top ^^
I love how you put in so much thought, I'll just add my own two cents here. As an hourglass myself I was really amazed by your design. You took into account the problems (boobies falling out...duh). I just wanted to add that in general a halter top is not for busty girls, since it puts all the weight on the soft tissue in your shoulders! This can lead to tension in neck, shoulders and back, and also cause headaches and so on. The straps of bras or bikini tops for busty girls should always sit on the outer part of the shoulders. A tightly fitting racer back style of bikini top might relieve some of that weight, but it will still be far from ideal for many girls.
I never no, what I am 🤔 My hips are on the same level with my breasts(rectangle?), but my waist is a little bit smaller(hourglass?). At the same time my thighs are wider than my hips, so it looks like a pear??? Please help me 😣🙃
I disagree with halterneck being supportive. If you have larger breasts, halterneck is going to be painful. None of the swimsuits you linked for "hourglass" is going to work for big-breasted women.
I recommend bra sized swimwear. Companies like Cleo, Panache, Curvy Kate and Freya make them in a a lot of sizes and fun styles. But make sure you know your bra size first.
I have an hourglass figure BUT I'm 20kg overweight. So my overweight is all proportionate through my body so you can still see the hourglass figure (hahaha). Anyway... anytime I search for clothing tips for my figure there's always options for slim bodies. Any advice?
I always thought I was a pear shape but after really measuring myself and searching online I realized that my bust/shoulders are almost the same as my hips and my waist is small, so I found out I am an hourglass figure BUT I don't have big breasts nor a big butt, but as I said they are almost the same size and my waist is very defined (I also am very small!) So, since my breast is small I don't really need support in a swimsuit. I still don't know which swimsuit will look best on me... I didn't really like the option you gave for hourglass :/ I guess I'll just have to search online. 😅
Ive been binge watching your videos and really enjoy them. I think what I like most about you is that you come across as honest and very nice. I also love that your videos are informative and aren’t too long.
