Sir Morten ,how long will it take to get the raffia be removed from the trunk of the bonsai tree?
alain david (3 months ago)
+Shohin Bonsai Europe - Kisetsu-en Morten Albek thank you very much Sir Morten.Good luck.
Hi Alain. The wire, and therefore also the raffia, have to sit for about 1,5 - 2 years. The trunk and thicker branches grows very slow, and it takes time for it to settle.

great work, recently I've done the same work on my nursery juniper using coconut fibre as rafia, in India it is a good substitute.
Thanks :-) Coconut fibre will be good too.
